Carl Frampton Predicts Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk: “He’s Tough And Very Skilful”

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have signed to make history in the boxing ring, crowning the first four-belt heavyweight champion and the first undisputed fighter in the division since Lennox Lewis.

Fury brings the WBC belt to the table against Usyk’s IBF, WBA and WBO, and the pair will reportedly meet in Saudi Arabia in early 2024.

Predictions vary for the fight, but many point to the sheer size of the Brit being too much for Usyk, who has fought most of his professional campaign down at cruiserweight.

Former two-weight world champion turned pundit, Carl Frampton, is backing Fury to win, but believes it’s unfair just to put it down to his extra bulk. He gave his prediction to Boxing Social.

The two champions are undefeated and have impressed boxing fans worldwide with their skills as well as grit in the face of danger – the hope is that their fight will deliver on both.

Usyk counts his preparation as a stoppage win over Daniel Dubois in Poland, whilst Fury’s latest outing will be a crossover event against former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou.

The undisputed date will be announced after that fight, and it’s said to be dependant solely on how quickly Fury can properly prepare.
