Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk? Shakur Stevenson weighs in

The 24-year-old is the undefeated featherweight world champion. Moreover, back in April of this year, he made his debut in the lightweight division and is eyeing to fight for the title soon. When asked about this match-up, he considered the fact that Fury is evidently taller and significantly bigger than the unified heavyweight champion. In addition, he thinks, ‘The Gypsy King,’ is just as skillful as the Ukrainian.

Given the size advantage, while favoring Fury, he stated, “Uysk, I watched his last fight, he looks real good. He is a great fighter. I think the size is going to be too much. You gotta realize, Tyson Fury is two what? 270? He is too big for a lot of heavyweights and he got boxing skills and he got to know how to use size.”

He adds, “So I don’t know if Uysk is gonna be able to beat him. Uysk is tremendous talent. But I just don’t see it.” It is safe to say that if ‘Sugar,’ is a betting man, his money would be on Fury. However, let’s take a look at a boxing legend’s prediction for this fight.

Former boxing world champion predicts Fury vs Uysk

Retired boxer and former champion, Ricky Hatton gave his prediction for the heavyweight clash after much thought. According to him, Fury is very skilled, versatile, and has a size advantage. Considering the same, he fancied the chances of Fury more than Uysk. Reflecting on the same, he stated, “When you think Tyson has the height, the reach, he can box southpaw, Orthodox, stand there, sit in there, and have a fight, he can sit and sway and move and make you miss off the back-foot. He can lean, counterpunch, he does everything Uysk does and he’s got the strength and weight advantage.”
