Eddie Hearn has confidently declared that he believes Anthony Joshua will beat both Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
The two-time former heavyweight world champion has brought himself back into contention this year with two comeback victories following his defeats to Oleksandr Usyk
Joshua is now pursuing big fights against the likes of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, though neither have come to fruition as yet.
Regardless, when asked about AJ vs Fury, Hearn said on the Stick To Football podcast: “It has to be a fight, it has to be.
“Even if AJ loses to Wilder and Fury loses to Usyk, we have to see that fight.
“In an ideal word, and I’m obviously biased, I think AJ beats Wilder.
“And I believe he beats Fury, I believe he’s got the style to do it.”
Regarding whether a potential Joshua vs Fury fight would take place in the UK or Saudi Arabia, Hearn suggested the Middle East was more likely.
“This is the issue now with the money coming in from the sport,” he explained, “Not just in boxing, but in football as well.
“You’re making double the money to stage the fight out there.
“We were the first ones to do a fight in Saudi, with Andy Ruiz Jr, and I got a load of stick.
“But I represent the fighter. When I go and have a conversation with a fighter and say, ‘It’s £20million for Wembley or £60million for Saudi.’
“What do you think? I don’t really have a say in the matter, but by the way, I’m choosing Saudi as well.
“This is the fight game. They’re prize fighters, they’re not going for 18 holes of golf.”
Asked how much Joshua and Fury would make to fight in Saudi, Hearn answered: “They’ll make over a hundred million each.
“If Fury beats Usyk and AJ beats Wilder, they’ll make over £100million each.”
