Super-lightweight contender, Ryan Garcia, has expressed his confidence in a rematch against Gervonta Davis, despite succumbing to his power in a seventh round defeat earlier this year.

‘King Ry’ was handed the first loss of his career when he was stopped to the body in the mega fight that garnered over one million pay-per-view buys, taking a knee after feeling the full effect of the shot from Davis.

Since then, he has announced he will move permanently to super-lightweight. He told Fight Hub TV that a rematch with ‘Tank’ is on his radar and that he could beat him ‘under different circumstances.

Garcia says the catchweight of 136lbs and rehydration clause that meant he couldn’t gain more than ten pounds between the weigh-in and fight night affected his performance.

Before the popular 25-year-old can consider future opponents, he must first get past Oscar Duarte a in a relatively tough match-up for his comeback on December 2, live on DAZN.

Should he win, he also mentioned both Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney are fights he would like to make.
