Mexican-American boxer Ryan García is considered one of the sport’s greatest prospects, as the 25-year-old, is ranked as the world’s fourth-best active lightweight by The Ring magazine, and the sixth-best active junior welterweight by ESPN

However, he lost in his biggest fight to date against Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis on April 22, being knocked out in the seventh round. The fight was a commercial success, selling over 1.2 million PPVs on Showtime, with now García looking to redeem himself in his next fight.

Ahead of García’s next fight on December 2 against Oscar Duarte, legendary fighter and his promoter, Oscar de la Hoya spoke with TMZ Sports and boldly stated that Ryan is destined to be the boxing next superstar.

García was undefeated up until his loss against ‘Tank’ Davis, holding now a 23-1 record, with 19 wins by KO. He has fought under the super featherweight, lightweight, and light welterweight categories.

As an amateur won 15 national championships and had a 215-15 record
