In a wide ranging interview with Louis Theroux, Anthony Joshua has opened up about the fights he got into when he was younger and how his knuckles became scarred after taking on six men at once.

Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight champion, is best known for doing his fighting in the ring, boasting a record of 26 wins and just three defeats in his twenty-nine professional fights.

But speaking to Theroux as part of a BBC documentary series, Joshua opened up about the times he would get into fights as a kid

‘AJ’ is currently on the rebuild after back-to-back defeats to Usyk, where he lost and failed to regain his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO titles.

Unlike his heavyweight counterparts, Joshua has been keen to remain active this year, with victories over American, Jermaine Franklin, and a stunning once punch knockout over Robert Helenius.

The 34-year-old had been expected to take on hard hitting and fellow former champion, Deontay Wilder, in December, but the agreed offer from Saudi Arabia’s Skills Challenge Promotions was withdrawn and now that fight still appears to be some way off happening.

Joshua is still planning to get out before the end of the year with the hope of getting a another title shot in 2024 and becoming only the fifth ever three-time heavyweight champion.
