“You Need To Start Listening”: Terence Crawford’s Trainer Has No Doubt He Wins ‘Great’ Fight

Terence Crawford fought his way into the conversation of the best fighter in the world this year with a long-awaited unification against Errol Spence Jr.

Not only did ‘Bud’ win Spence’s three belts making him undisputed at welterweight, he did so in a manner that was so dominant that many immediately inserted him at the top of their pound-for-pound list.

Great fighters tend to continue to chase greatness, and that’s what Crawford was doing when he floated the idea of an incredible three-weight jump to challenge Saul ‘Canelo’ Álvarez for all of his super-middleweight titles.

Whilst those talks have fizzled slightly since Spence formally enacted his rematch clause, the intrigue is still there.

Speaking to FightHype, Crawford’s trainer, Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre said his man would win and that fans should start listening when he says that.

Whilst Canelo didn’t rule out the fight, he did say it wasn’t in his immediate plans and that he would get no credit for beating the smaller man.

Any talks must be put on ice until the Spence rematch is complete, with a weight and date for the fight yet to be decided. In the meantime, Crawford has been stripped of one of his titles.
