“It Was Alarming”: John Fury Gives Verdict On Tyson’s Ngannou Fight And Usyk Preparations

Tyson Fury beat Francis Ngannou via split-decision to allow him to sign for an undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk, but the performance gave more questions than answers.

Expected to deal with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion as and when he pleased, Fury instead struggled to stamp his authority on the ten-rounder, getting dropped in the third round and fighting below-par for the rest.

His father, John Fury, spoke to Boxing Social via FreeBets.com about the performance, and said it was a different Tyson in the ring from the standout performances of his career.

That doesn’t bode well for the fight against undefeated Ukrainian Usyk, who has beaten Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua twice and Daniel Dubois since his arrival at heavyweight.

Fury senior knows his son can pull it off, but believes it’s all in the game-plan.

The two heavyweight champions will meet to crown an undisputed king on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
