After Mike Tyson’s JetBlue Controversy, Video of Gervonta Davis Capturing a Heckler Kicking and Touching His Chair Resurfaces

Bothering a guy who beats up people for a living is never a good idea! However, Melvin Townsend never got the memo. More than a year ago, Mike Tyson slapped up a man on a JetBlue Florida-bound flight for bothering him and throwing a bottle at him. Today, a similar incident came to light after fans discovered an old clip of Gervonta Davis surfaced online.

Off late, one of Davis’ old tweets became the chatter on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet was from June 6, 2015, but given the situation with Mike Tyson, the clip seemed eerily similar to Mike’s altercation. While Davis didn’t end up punching the fellow, unwanted kicking and touching from the co-passenger annoyed the Baltimore native.

Gervonta Davis once called his co-passenger “Stuart Little”

Davis has never been a violent person, to begin with. But according to his tweet from 2015, he came close to starting a Mike Tyson-level controversy. While traveling on the flight, the passenger sitting behind Davis allegedly kept touching and kicking his seat. So, the Baltimore native decided to pull out his phone to record.

Later, posting on X, Davis wrote in the caption that he was about to have a problem if the passenger repeated his actions another time. He wrote, “Stuart Little touch or kick on my chair one more time…we gonna have a problem!” It’s hard to imagine what would have happened if Davis decided to let his hands swing. While Davis managed to avoid any consequences, Mike wasn’t so lucky!

Townsend demands money from Mike Tyson to avoid a lawsuit

According to a tweet from Collin Rugg, Co-Owner of Trending Politics, Townsend has demanded $450,000 as a “pre-litigation settlement demand” from Tyson. Townsend claims he has suffered “severe headache and neck pain” due to Mike’s assault on the JetBlue flight. Townsend even claimed that he “is still suffering with the effects of the assault to this day.

What’s more, according to Townsend’s lawyer, he lost several jobs due to the incident and is unable to pay for the medical expenses he suffered from Tyson’s punches. However, the lawyer representing Mike isn’t buying any of it, claiming it’s nothing more than a shakedown attempt. Mike’s lawyer stated, “There will be no shakedown payment.”

While Mike Tyson grapples with a $450K demand from Towsand for the JetBlue incident last year, Davis’ brush with a similar incident resurfaces online. However, we would like to get your thoughts on regular people antagonizing boxers. Do you think Mike’s actions were justified? Do you agree with Gervonta Davis’ sentiment towards his tormentor in the resurfaced video?
