Tyson Fury’s stunning body transformation proves he’s taking Oleksandr Usyk much more seriously than Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury is clearly training for Oleksandr Usyk with a lot more discipline than he did before taking on Francis Ngannou.

The undisputed heavyweight world title fight has been postponed after Fury suffered a cut in sparring and so will now take place on May 18 instead of the original date of February 17.

Boxing’s rumour mill had been swirling with unsubstantiated suggestions that the Gypsy King had been having issues in camp prior to the date delay.

Therefore, members of his team have put out fresh images showing that their man was in fact in prime condition before having to pull out.

Fury’s physique in these pictures is drastically different when compared side-by-side to how he looked before facing Ngannou in October.

At their first press conference, the Brit took his shirt off for the face-off.

He was obviously out of shape at this point, with flabby arms and a noticeable stomach.

Even on fight week itself a couple of months later, Fury was in better condition, but still not at his best.

This told once the first bell rang, as Ngannou was able to give him a competitive fight.

He even floored him in round three and, when the final bell rang, many at ringside were unsure who would get the decision.

In the end, Fury emerged victorious by contentious split decision, but seems to have learned his lesson.

These new pictures from inside the camp preparing for Usyk present a different Gypsy King.

Images posted by Fury’s nutritionist Greg Marriott show him with toned arms and no flab on his body.

Unfortunately both his and Usyk’s hard work has all been for nothing due to the cut postponement, but hopefully both men will be able to stay in top shape ahead of the rescheduled May 18 date.
