Gervonta Davis Names The One Opponent Who Made Him ‘Nervous’: “He Was Knocking Everyone Out”

Gervonta Davis is widely regarded to be one of the most ferocious fighters active today.

‘Tank’ is something of a wrecking ball who has knocked out 28 of his 30 opponents to date. Most recently that was Frank Martin in defence of his WBA Lightweight World title. Last April, he stopped Ryan Garcia with a savage body shot and has previously knocked out the likes of Leo Santa Cruz and Rolando Romero.

Despite the power the Baltimore boxer carries in both fists and his seemingly unflappable persona, he recently admitted that he got nervous before the fight with Garcia. It was a big pay-per-view showdown that really catapulted both boxers onto the global stage

Davis has long been linked with plenty of other big-name champions in and around his division including the likes of Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney and Vasily Lomachenko – the most likely next opponent according to both teams.

Should he make a deal with the elite Ukrainian, fans would see a lightweight unification fight with the winner holding both the WBA and IBF straps.
