Terence Crawford feeds Jake Paul’s ego and worries about Mike Tyson

Despite many people doubting him, Jake Paul obtained his tenth victory in his short boxing career on Saturday night in Las Vegas, this time against Mike Perry. He may have finally silenced many of his critics, because questions about the quality of his opponents have lingered since he began his boxing journey. Doubts about Mike Perry’s boxing experience and the size difference between them still persist even though before the fight many people thought Paul was meant to lay on the ground.

And it is obviously a matter of envy, he has become a problem for his haters over the years, with ambitions being higher than the Everest, the Ohio native seeks greater challenges. However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer seems to be gaining support from unexpected quarters, even from the top echelons of contemporary boxing.

Not a YouTuber anymore

Terence Crawford admitted he took time out his busy agenda to watch the event. The MMA Hour interviewer Ariel Helwani asked him about this topic and he stated: “Yes, I did watch the event”. He also explained how aside from a few issues like improving his stamina, he has been commendably improving his game, praising Paul’s boxing abilities. At the end of the day, he is not a typical YouTuber anymore, the guy trains hard and remains focused on the sport.

Crawford is ten days away from his light middleweight debut against Israil Madrimov at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium. He is eager to leave a mark in a third weight class. But wants to exceed his limits too, and has a bigger target for the future, Canelo Álvarez.
