In a recent Instagram Threads post, Biles expressed her frustration. She wrote, “I did a GRWM the morning of Vault & Bar finals, and I went to edit it, and the sound is gone… JUST GONE… 🤬🤬🤬.” This is the same day when Biles was surpassed by Rebeca Andrade of Brazil in the Vault finals at the World Gymnastics Championships. Despite a fall, she still managed to secure a silver medal but sadly did not make it to the podium for Uneven Bars.
On that same day, Biles looked stunning in a sparkly red leotard. Unfortunately, as fans eagerly await the video of her getting ready for this look, it seems that this technological struggle might cost them a glimpse behind the scenes. On her Threads post fans also stepped in to help and offered suggestions, such as “Do a voiceover,” so that she could still provide the video with her own take on the process. It began when she shared a video on Day 2 of the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships with her best friend and fellow teammate Zoe Miller. They grooved to hip-hop music and shared fun moments behind the camera, showing their makeup routines. Biles showcased her step-by-step makeup process, from applying primer to foundation to highlighting and contouring, with Miller closely following her lead.
Another beauty vlog came after the 2023 Worlds and Pan Am Games Selection Camp, once again with her best friend, Zoe Miller where the two joked and playfully showed the bond they share. Then weeks later Biles also shared a video directly from Antwerp, Belgium ahead of podium training at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In the video, Biles candidly expressed her nervousness and captioned it as “a whole bunch of word vomit because of nerves 🫠.” She opened up about her anxieties and how her husband, Jonathan Owens, helped ease her fears and nerves despite the miles between them.
Biles has now returned from Antwerp as the most decorated gymnast ever, with four gold medals and one silver medal.
