Lennox Lewis Has Made His Mind Up On Who Wins Anthony Joshua-Deontay Wilder Fight

One of the greatest heavyweights of all time, Lennox Lewis, has made a clear prediction ahead of a possible showdown between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Lewis is the last undisputed heavyweight champion, claiming all three major belts when he defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999, a feat that one of Joshua or Wilder looked like emulating after being linked to a fight when they held all the titles.

Things have changed since then, with both no longer holding any gold, but the intrigue around the potential match-up doesn’t seem to have been affected.’

The two looked certain to face each other this December when they agreed a deal with Saudi Arabia’s Skills Challenge Promotions, but that offer was later withdrawn and has subsequently thrown the clash into doubt.

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, is trying to salvage the fight and is now targeting a March or April date to get the two heavy hitters in the ring.

Speaking to ES News after Wilder knocked out Robert Helenius in his last outing, Lewis said the American would ‘definitely’ get the better of the former two-time champion.

Whether boxing fans will get to see if Lewis’ prediction comes true remains to be seen.

AJ is now lining up a fight in December or early January with lots of potential opponents throwing their name in the hat to face him.
