A top trainer has predicted that Tyson Fury won’t touch Oleksandr Usyk and will get ‘slapped around’ should the pair fight soon.

Fury’s stock has has fallen in the eyes of some fans after his less than spectacular showing against Francis Ngannou in October.

What was predated by many to be an easy night for the WBC and Lineal heavyweight world champion turned out to be a much more even back and forth. Fury was knocked down in the third round but still managed to take a close split decision points win and has since spoken about just how hard he reckons the Cameroonian-Frenchman punches.

Former MMA Champion Ngannou, who had been trained by Mike Tyson, came out as the moral victor and is now well-placed to cash in with any number of fights against big-name heavyweights who want their chance to show Fury how it should be done.

Next up for ‘The Gypsy King’ meanwhile is the contracted and historic undisputed four-belt showdown with Usyk.

Speaking to ES News, twice former trainer of the year, Robert Garcia, didn’t hold back with his views on where Fury sits now in the world rankings.

The former Anthony Joshua coach went on to deride his latest performance against Ngannou and predicted a tough night in the undisputed fight.

Right now, that undisputed fight looks set to take place in February out in Saudi Arabia, just before the end of Riyadh season.
