What is left to prove for Terence Crawford? He has solidified himself as a pound-for-pound great and continues to be undefeated. More recently, he defeated Errol Spence and left no questions unanswered. So what is next for him? Well, ‘Bud,’ ceases to be an undisputed welterweight champion as he was stripped of the IBF welterweight title after he accepted a rematch with Errol Spence Jr. The IBF title was then handed to another interim champion.

The current IBF welterweight world champion is thus Jaron “Boots” Ennis, and he is eager to face ‘Bud.’ So Will Cawford give him a chance? The Ennis’s father, Bozy Ennis does not think so. Why does he say so? Let’s find out.

Terence Crawford vs. Jaron Ennis; Bozy Ennis does not foresee it

Bozy Ennis is a boxing trainer himself and is actively involved in his son’s career. According to him, Crawford will not agree to fight Ennis, as it is a risky move. Instead, he foresees Crawford fighting stars in the sport for lucrative money and calls it a day as a professional boxer. In an interview with FightHubTV, he stated, “I understand where Crawford is coming from. I guess you know, you don’t wanna take a fight with boots because of the high risk and low reward. Then I think he trying to get some bigger fights. Then I think he going off and just wanting to be a trainer or just enjoy his life.”

The above comments can be interpreted in various ways. However, they may hold merit because they come months after he and his team offered Crawford the fight, but the negotiations were unsuccessful. Following this, ‘Boots’ delivered a bold response. What did he say? Let’s delve into it.

Boots slams Crawford for not fighting him

Despite being the champion, ‘Boots,’ has a vehement desire to compete against Crawford. However, according to him, ‘Bud,’ does not want to fight because he suspects the undefeated boxer might be afraid of him. Reflecting on the same, on X., he stated, “Bud had opportunities to fight me (& still do!) but you rather them strip you & give me the title instead of me taking it from you cause you don’t wanna fight me that bad. That stunt you pulled is through lol.”

It appears the fight may not be on the cards anytime soon. Who is to be blamed? That is what we now ask you. What are your thoughts on this entire fiasco? Share your opinions with us in the comments below.
