On January 9, 2024, in an Instagram post, Sammi Biles posted a reel that began with a glimpse of an email congratulating her on being pregnant again. The caption read, “What I think Heaven will sound like…” with a background track in which a child said, “Mama”. However, as the reel transitioned, a tragic update came to the fore. The video showed Sammi sobbing, and the caption read, “3 of Ronni’s siblings gone too soon,” adding 3 angel emojis and a broken heart emoticon.
What began as a Christmas surprise blessing turned into a heartbreaking journey of recurrent pregnancy loss. Struggling with feelings of numbness, anger, and sadness, she found herself grappling with the harsh reality of infertility, the toll of four consecutive years of pregnancy, and her third miscarriage. Sammi Biles expressed, “Two pink lines don’t equal a baby(ies) & I’m sadly proof of that.” Further sharing that getting pregnant again and giving Ronni siblings the road ahead would likely involve the arduous journey of IVF once again. Previous pregnancy upheavals compound to this untimely demise
Back in June 2023, nearly six months after Ronni Biles was born, Sammi Biles revealed that “Ronni would have had a little sister 👼🏽. The couple, who were unexpectedly given the joy of being parents, found themselves in sheer grief, and Ron Biles II shared that the miscarriage occurred after more than nine weeks of Sammi being pregnant. He took to Instagram to say, “I’m truly devastated by this loss, hate that we have to go through this again, but more than anything this one TRULY REALLY HURTS.”
In her latest update in the early weeks of 2024, although devastated once more, Sammi shared that IVF was a treacherous and exhaustive ordeal, testing not only her body but also her marriage, sanity, and financial stability. But despite the painful reality, she remained grateful for the community of women who have stood by her in solidarity. She ended her note by saying, “I’ll continue to share in hopes it makes one less woman and mom feel less alone.”
