Terence Crawford effusively commended WBC interim super middleweight champion David Benavidez for his stellar performance, asserting that Benavidez is now “ready for Canelo.” Following Benavidez’s sixth-round retirement victory over Demetrius Andrade, Crawford praised ‘The Mexican Monster’ and assigned his performance an “A++” rating.

Crawford specifically lauded Benavidez’s adept use of pressure and diverse punching techniques against Andrade, who appeared to be competing in a weight class significantly above his natural 154-pound division. However, during the event, Crawford indulged in a heated debate with an alleged fighter friend of Errol Spence Jr. The fans showcased their fright in the comments section.

The fans were frightened about Terence Crawford starting a fight

Terence Crawford was found having a heated debate with a fighter who is alleged to be Thomas Hill, a friend of Errol Spence Jr., while in the audience for the David Benavidez vs. Demetrius Andrade fight. However, the altercation was stopped by the intervention of Andre Berto. The fans quickly took to Twitter to react to the fight that almost happened. One of the fans mentioned that the fighter in the video is Thomas Hill, a friend of Errol Spence Jr.

Another fan stated that his eyes revealed ‘Bud’ instead of Terence Crawford at the time of the heated conversation

Although, there have been a few moments when Crawford has lost his cool over a debate. This happened once during the press conference of Crawford-Spence Jr, a few months ago.

Crawford gets furious at Errol Spence Jr’s fan

Tensions escalated during a press conference, reaching a boiling point as Terence Crawford became visibly distracted by a supporter engaging in trash talk from the front row. The exchange unfolded just as the moderator was posing a question to Errol Spence Jr. about what fans could anticipate.

While the exact nature of the provocations from the fan remains unclear, Crawford’s response was unequivocal, injecting an additional layer of intensity into an already tense atmosphere. Crawford snarled at the supporter, saying, “You ain’t gonna bring nothin, you ain’t gonna bring nothin. You a b**ch. You a b**ch, n*** … The fuck you talking to? Because you keep talking like a bitch, n***.

So, the fans got to see the aggressive side of Crawford after a lot of months, and it’s safe to say that some of them were really surprised by it. What are your thoughts about this? Let us know in the comments section.

ANTHONY JOSHUA may be heading down a “collision course” with Deontay Wilder for a final eliminator to face Tyson Fury.

The WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman is committed to establishing an undisputed heavyweight champion.

Joshua, 34 and Wilder, 38, are set to compete in separate bouts on December 23rd against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker respectively.

If both the Brit and the American are successful they will be on course to box each other next year.

Sulaiman has confirmed the pair would battle it out to fight the winner of the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight to compete for his WBC title alongside IBF, WBA and WBO belts.

Fury and Usyk are set to go head-to-head on February 17th and the WBC president has revealed an expected rematch will take place.

Sulaiman told Sky Sports: “In itself it is a natural WBC elimination tournament.

“You have Wilder, No 1, Joshua, you have Parker, you have Otto Wallin, all those are highly ranked in the WBC.

“After December 23 we’re going to see a different picture in the rankings.

“It looks like Wilder and Joshua are on a collision course.

“That could very well be a final elimination to determine a mandatory contender for the WBC title.”

The fight on December 23rd could produce a contender to battle it out for the WBC heavyweight title that Fury currently holds.

But at the moment Wilder and AJ will not fight each other as the pair are in a continuous spat.

However, if Sulaimen’s plans go ahead for the battle of the heavyweight title fans would witness boxing’s most high-profile final eliminators in history.

Sulaimen continued: “Unbelievable. That would be a dream come true for the fans.”

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has described a potential Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder fight as a ‘dream come true for fans’.

And Sulaiman believes it could end up being ordered as a final eliminator for the WBC world title after the pair both fight on December 23.

Joshua will fight previous Tyson Fury opponent Otto Wallin and Wilder will take on former world champion Joseph Parker on the same card next month and the natural progression is for the winners of these fights to clash in a final eliminator for the WBC crown.

“In itself it is a natural WBC elimination tournament,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports.

“You have Wilder, No 1, Joshua, you have Parker, you have Otto Wallin, all those are highly ranked in the WBC. After December 23 we’re going to see a different picture in the rankings.”

Sulaiman continued: “It looks like Wilder and Joshua are on a collision course. That could very well be a final elimination to determine a mandatory contender for the WBC title.

“Unbelievable. That would be a dream come true for the fans.”

Sulaiman added: “I am very happy to see the promoters collaborating, the managers, the fighters. Of course there’s big money involved but you have to make it.

“You can dream of things, we have been dreaming for this and this is the perfect moment to get into another era of boxing. So we will be supporting as much as we can.”

But, Sulaiman also revealed that he will not be ordering any mandatories too soon so as not to disrupt the undisputed heavyweight world title fight between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk on December 17.

There is also a rematch clause between the two men, but Sulaiman explained: “The WBC board of governors has approved Fury against Usyk in February and then the rematch so there will not be anything in the way, as far as the WBC, for both fights to take place.”

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has claimed a rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk has already been approved.

And he’s also claimed Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could finally fight next year after years of intense speculation.

Fury and Usyk had originally been due to fight on December 23, only for that fight to be postponed due to the Briton needing more time to recover from his recent victory over Francis Ngannou.

Both Joshua and Deontay Wilder will fight that night instead – but not against each other.

Joshua will instead lock horns with Otto Wallin, while Wilder is preparing for a blockbuster showdown with Joseph Parker.

Now, Sulaiman has confirmed a rematch between Fury and Usyk already has WBC approval.

And he’s also claimed Wilder and Joshua could finally fight in the biggest eliminator in boxing history.

“We’ve been waiting and pushing and mediating and encouraging everyone to try to make this happen,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports.

“When Wilder was champion there were a couple of occasions where Wilder-Joshua came very close.

“The WBC left that window without interfering with anything that could get in the way.

“Then with Tyson Fury, he was ready to fight Joshua, then Usyk.

“The problem that could happen is a mandatory contender.

“We did order Wilder against [Andy] Ruiz, which was a tremendous fight, to find a mandatory contender.

“That fight didn’t take place. So the WBC board of governors has approved Fury against Usyk in February and then the rematch so there will not be anything in the way, as far as the WBC, for both fights to take place.”

Addressing the upcoming night of boxing on December 23, the WBC chief added: “In itself it is a natural WBC elimination tournament.

“You have Wilder, No 1, Joshua, you have Parker, you have Otto Wallin, all those are highly ranked in the WBC.

“After December 23 we’re going to see a different picture in the rankings.

“It looks like Wilder and Joshua are on a collision course. That could very well be a final elimination to determine a mandatory contender for the WBC title.”

In the eyes of Sulaiman, a battle between Joshua and Wilder would be a ‘dream come true’ for fans of the sport.

“Unbelievable. That would be a dream come true for the fans,” the 53-year-old stated

“I am very happy to see the promoters collaborating, the managers, the fighters.

“Of course there’s big money involved but you have to make it.

“You can dream of things, we have been dreaming for this and this is the perfect moment to get into another era of boxing.

“So we will be supporting as much as we can.”

When it comes to fighting, Wilder has the most experience.

He’s had 46 career fights so far and won an impressive 43 of them. Fury has beaten him twice, while they also drew in December 2018.

The Gypsy King has won 34 of his 35 career fights.

Joshua has claimed victory in 26 of his own battles.

And Usyk has won all 21 of his fights so far, with 14 of them coming via knockout.

One common opponent of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder has a clear favourite to win should the pair ever meet.

A deal has not yet been done for the two big heavyweight punchers to collide in the same ring on the same night. Though it has been talked about and teased for years, the closest we will get this year is them appearing on the same huge bill in Saudi Arabia on December 23.

Former two-time champion Joshua takes on Otto Wallin, who has beaten the likes of Murat Gassier and Dominik Breazeale and pushed Tyson Fury as hard as anyone over 12 rounds when they met back in 2019.

Former WBC title holder Wilder, meanwhile, is squaring off with New Zealand’s former world champion Joseph Parker, the man who lost his title to Joshua.

Both Wilder and Joshua have also beaten American Jason Gavern – Wilder won in the fourth round in 2014, Joshua in the third back in 2015 when he was still at the start of his career.

Speaking to ATG Radio a few years ago, Gavern assessed the potential match-up between the two

He was then asked who would win and sided with the Brit.

Finally, Gavern reckoned that Joshua is the one who holds the more power out of the two.

Fans are hoping both men win their December fights and a match-up between them can be made for 2024.

John Fury has told Mail Sport’s The Hook podcast he believes his son Tyson does want to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world – despite the Gypsy King’s claims it was not a dream of his.

Speaking exclusively to Mail Sport earlier this month, Fury claimed he was ‘not interested in undisputed’ and compared it to repeatedly climbing Mount Everest ahead of his eagerly-awaited title fight against Oleksandr Usyk on February 17.

He added: ‘I’m not interested in all of that stuff. I don’t care about unifying the division and all of that stuff. I’ve already done it. I did it when I beat [Wladimir] Klitschko, I won all the belts.

‘It’s not that exciting when you’ve already done it. It’s like saying, “oh my god you’re going to climb up Mount Everest, you’ve done it 16 times before but you’re going to do it again”‘.

But his father John – who savaged Tyson’s ‘f***ing stupid game plan’ against Francis Ngannou – said he refused to believe his son wasn’t bothered about adding Usyk’s IBF, WBO, WBA and The Ring belts to his WBC one.

‘Doesn’t care about undisputed? Well if he doesn’t care about undisputed, why is he fighting then? For the money?’ he told The Hook.

‘That’s not Tyson. He will care, and if he doesn’t good luck to Usyk.

‘If he doesn’t care, if he comes in with that attitude, he’s not bothered, then it’s good luck to Usyk. I am one of them… if he gets beat I’ll say he gets beat.

‘But once Tyson’s head is on, Usyk’s not the man to do it.’

After the scare against UFC fighter Ngannou – which saw the Cameroonian drop him in round three en route to a narrow points victory – John Fury insisted nothing would be left to chance in Tyson’s training camp ahead of the showdown with Usyk.

‘People think I know what’s going on in the training camps, but I don’t,’ he added.

‘I don’t have anything to do with it. I should do – but they don’t listen to daddy. I know what you’ve got to do for this one. You’ve got to go down a different road completely.

‘Tyson will have the eye of the tiger back for this one, he’ll need to change everything round.

‘He’ll need to do everything different and gain some solid muscle and put some work in – crack his balls working and when he does that, Usyk’s going to have a problem. He won’t be facing this negative Tyson that you saw with a s*** game plan.

‘I’m going to say it first. Whoever puts the best camp in and does the work will get it and deserve it. If Usyk puts a better camp in that Tyson, he works his a** off, he gets everything right, the better man will win.

‘It’s up to both guys what they want out of this. Tyson knows he needs an 180 degree turnaround. If he’s not prepared to do that, good luck to Usyk.’

Terence Crawford is stuck in a holding pattern trying to determine the next steps of his Hall of Fame-bound career.

The Nebraska native Crawford is coming off a crushing KO victory against Errol Spence Jr. in July that made him the undisputed welterweight champion.

The bout had a rematch clause that has since been activated, but it remains to be seen when the event will be staged. With Showtime Sports leaving boxing at the end of the year, Premier Boxing Champions will have to find a new broadcast or streaming partner to stage the fight.

In the midst of a sequel being coordinated, the IBF stripped Crawford of his title earlier this month and elevated undefeated upstart Jaron Ennis as its champion.

The 36-year-old Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) wants to maximize his earning power and potential, and he doesn’t see a future pitting with Ennis properly padding his purse.

“Listen, like I said. Jaron is in one place, and I’m in another. I’m looking for mega fights right now, and right now, that’s not a mega fight,” Crawford told a group of reporters Friday. “That’s my standpoint on it. I’m looking to fight guys like Canelo Alvarez. That’s pretty much it, man, and a rematch with Spence, and that’s it. That’s over with for me.”

Crawford has remained adamant that he would climb up to 168 pounds for the chance to clash with Alvarez.

“Man, that would be lovely. That would definitely be lovely,” said Crawford.

Crawford also commented on perhaps facing unified 154-pound Jermall Charlo, the former undisputed champion who no longer has two of the four titles he once owned due to sanctioning body semantics.

Crawford was originally enticed to face Charlo for the opportunity to become a three-division undisputed champion.

“Charlo isn’t a mega-fight. His last performance [against Alvarez] wasn’t a great performance,” said Crawford.

  • Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight titles in Saudi Arabia
  • Fury has been knocked down to the canvas before, but has never been beaten in his career
  • Zhilei Zhang has never faced any of the top four heavyweights, but is an interim champion

Who will be the first man to beat Tyson Fury?

The British boxer is still undefeated and next faces Oleksandr Usyk in a bid to be crowned undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.

While the two heavyweights are set to square off I Saudi Arabia, another heavyweight believes that he will be the first to beat Fury.

The Chinese fighter watched Fury’s bout against Francis Ngannou and believes that he will be too much for the Brit to handle. As noted by The Mirror, Zhilei Zhang warned The Gypsy King about his punching power.

Why Zhang wants Fury next

Nicknamed ‘Big Bang,’ Zhang is a fearsome heavyweight who has had 28 professional fights.

Tapology noted that he has won 26 fights, lost one and drawn one. 21 of his wins have come by knockout, but he has never face one of the big four heavyweights.

Zhang has accused Fury, Usyk, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua of dodging him.

In September he knocked out Joe Joyce in round three of their fight to retain his WBO Interim title, Eurosport reported, before calling out Fury.

As interim champion, Zhang will have to fight the WBO champion at some stage to unify the titles. The current champion is Usyk, but that could change after his title fight with Fury.

Francis Ngannou denied famous win against Fury

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Tyson Fury defeated Francis Ngannou by split decision in the “Battle of the Baddest” bout in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Briton overcame a Round 3 knockdown to defeat the Cameroonian in a controversial manner as one judge had Ngannou winning 95-94.

The other two judges scored the bout 96-93 and 95-94 for Fury, but many felt that the former UFC champion did enough to win the bout.

Terence Crawford, a name synonymous with fierce boxing and undisputed welterweight titles, has recently stepped into a different ring. This time, it’s not for a bout but with a microphone in hand. Known for his knockout punches, Crawford surprisingly belts out tunes, not jabs. His choice? Usher’s ‘Nice & Slow’ – somewhat of an expected pick from the champion.

The scene unfolds in a video by Fight Hub TV, showcasing a side of Crawford rarely seen by fans. As the notes flow, so does Crawford’s shift from the rigid world of boxing to a seemingly offbeat musical venture. This intriguing crossover raises questions. Can a boxing legend hold his own in the realm of karaoke?

Terence Crawford is no longer just a boxer

The video that stirred the pot features Terence Crawford taking a shot at karaoke. He chooses Usher’s smooth R&B hit, ‘Nice & Slow.’ This moment, captured by Fight Hub TV, reveals a different facet of the undisputed welterweight champion. Crawford, more renowned for his agility in the ring, is seen embracing the rhythm and soul of a classic R&B song. The clip quickly garnered attention, with fans flocking to social media to share their reactions.

Firstly, one fan humorously quipped, “Terence Crawford feeling to win America’s got talent.” This comment highlights the light-hearted surprise among Crawford’s followers. Another fan chimed in with a chuckle, “glad to see the champ enjoying life…” Then, another fan acknowledged Crawford’s unexpected talent, remarking, “This dude gifted gifted,” a nod to his versatility beyond the boxing ring.

However, not all responses were in the same vein. Another fan offered a contrasting viewpoint, “ruined that song for me smh,” showcasing how Crawford’s rendition didn’t resonate with everyone. Lastly, one user added a dose of humor, “Who gon tell TC he can’t sing,” playfully poking fun at Crawford’s vocal attempt.

Crawford’s festive fun with fellow boxers

Terence Crawford is making the best use of his free time. From cooking Thanksgiving Turkeys to Karaoke, he is enjoying life off the ring. While he is also supposed to prepare for the Errol Spence Jr. rematch, he makes sure there is no shop talk at home. Crawford appears alongside fellow boxers Zab Judah and Shawn Porter, not in a boxing ring, but in a moment of lighthearted karaoke.

Singing to New Edition’s ‘If It Isn’t Love,’ Crawford stands out with a beaming smile, enjoying the camaraderie. One can see Crawford’s passion for music, evident in his relaxed demeanor and joy in sharing these moments with friends and family.

As we anticipate his return to the ring in 2024 for the rematch with Errol Spence Jr., it’s intriguing to see these different sides of ‘Bud’. What do you think of Crawford’s karaoke skills? Does this endearing display of his off-ring persona change your perception of the champion boxer?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and John Gotti III may finally get back together once again for a rematch. Given what happened during their first square up, a final conclusion to their unfinished business was much-anticipated. Per available reports, both have settled upon a February meeting. Always a thorough professional, Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to have started in earnest with his training.

America’s Favorite Video Today

Nearly-a-minute-long footage shows him working on the pads with his long-time trainer, Gerald Tucker. Despite his age, there has been no letdown in Mayweather Jr.’s athleticism. With precision, he executed each throw as ‘GT’ moved around. It was evident that the undefeated former champion was highly accustomed to the rhythm and speed. At times, the undefeated former champion would stare at the camera while hitting the pads. Usually, it gets oodles of awe. But this time, it appears to have gone way off target.

Any reason for all these tricks? Fans ask

Most of the followers who commented seemed to question the relevance of such training methods. Their point is that it’s a well-set, hammered-out move.

This user, for instance, while finding it amazing, questions whether it’s similar to a well-crafted ballet dance.

This follower highlighted that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been showing the same pad work for the last twenty years. All for the cameras. Now he might even be able to do it blindfolded.

Unable to fathom the concept behind this dubious punch work, this user believes that it is the person wielding the pads who does most of the work and not vice versa.

This user wonders how Mayweather Jr.’s pad-work is relevant for current boxing updates. Fans had a good time going through a spate of good fights. So the user questions the point behind publishing news such as this.

Then this follower went back to the good-old point of Floyd Mayweather Jr. avoiding a prime Manny Pacquiao. To the follower, the undefeated former champion always remained the most uninteresting fight of all time. They won’t consider counting him among the top twenty greatest boxers.

Mayweather Jr. commenced an exhibition fight career roughly a year after he retired from active boxing in 2017.

A rematch in the offing for Floyd Mayweather Jr.

After the Aaron Chalmers fight on February 25, Floyd Mayweather Jr. met John Gotti III on June 11. As the situation heated up between the two, referee Kenny Bayless finally had to intervene and stop the match in the sixth round. Soon after, a wild brawl ensued between the two sides following Gotti III lunging at Mayweather Jr. Then there were reports of fights erupting between groups across the arena and backstage. Though initially he was suspended, the Florida State Boxing Commission later revoked it by July. As of now, it is still not clear whether their match will be a scoring bout. Also, the date of the fight remains to be finalized.
