Shakur Stevenson has hinted rapper Eminem could walk him out for his next fight following a recent meeting between the pair.

The two-weight world champion will fight for the vacant WBC lightweight title against Edwin De Los Santos on November 16 and has not ruled out being accompanied by the global rap star.

Slim Shady is no stranger to the world of Boxing having already walked Terrence Crawford to the ring for his fight against Errol Spence in July.

He was also in attendance for Tyson Fury’s recent split-decision victory over Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia last month.

Stevenson revealed that he met the lyricist during the weekend of the Crawford v Spence fight in Las Vegas and let slip a conversation between the pair.

“I actually met him the night before [the fight],” Stevenson told ES News. “He told me he was a big fan and actually he is a big fan because when he saw me he was like ‘man, two of my favourite boxers, I finally get to meet them. Nobody can beat you man, it’s just too hard to hit you man.”

The ringing endorsement from one of music’s biggest stars pleased the Olympic silver medalist who also hinted at a possible collaboration with Eminem in the near future.

When asked if the Detroit-based rapper could walk him to the ring in his next fight, he replied: “I don’t know, we’ll see, we’ll see.”

Stevenson’s record stands at an impressive 20 wins and is undefeated at professional level. The 26-year-old has a 50 percent knockout ratio, having stopped ten of his opponents.

His last fight came in April when he beat Shuichiro Yoshino by a sixth-round stoppage in what was his debut at lightweight.

Stevenson is now eager to conquer a division and is already eyeing a meeting with undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney while Gervonta Davis, Vasiliy Lomachenko, and Ryan Garcia all remain viable options.

Following his hugely impressive professional boxing debut, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou said this week that he is willing to wait for the opportunity to have a rematch with heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Ngannou made it clear that his focus with regard to boxing is on Fury, and as a result, he is fine with waiting until after Fury’s scheduled fight against Oleksandr Usyk to face him again:

“I would be willing to wait [for Fury to fight Usyk]. I know that they are going to fight, they had a contract already, so they are going to fight some time in February instead of Dec. 23, which is my fault. … I shouldn’t have cut him. He would’ve fought Dec. 23, and maybe we would’ve run it back early next year.”

Fury and Usyk were originally scheduled to clash in a bout to determine the undisputed world heavyweight champion on Dec. 23, but per ESPN’s Mike Coppinger, they fight is now expected to take place in February in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

As Ngannou alluded to, the fight had to be pushed back due to Fury suffering a cut above his left eye during his narrow victory over Ngannou.

While Ngannou has been a dominant force in MMA over the years, he never had a pro boxing fight before Oct. 28, so Fury was a massive favorite in their bout.

Ngannou pushed Fury to the limit and even knocked him down once, but the WBC heavyweight champion escaped with a split-decision victory and improved his career record to 34-0-1.

Fury vs. Usyk has long been the biggest potential dream match in boxing, as Usyk is the reigning WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight champion, and boasts a career mark of 21-0.

Something has to give when Fury and Usyk finally meet, and barring a draw or no contest, an undisputed heavyweight champion will be determined.

Ngannou has other opportunities available to him in boxing in the meantime, including a fight with former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, but he made it clear to TMZ that his sights are solely set on Fury, saying: “First of all, it’s too soon. Secondly, my focus, as boxing is concerned, is a rematch with Tyson. That’s the most important thing for me right now, everything else for boxing comes after.”

If Ngannou does fight again before a rematch with Fury, it will likely be inside a cage for the Professional Fighters League MMA promotion.

Ngannou signed with PFL in May after leaving UFC, but has yet to have his first fight for the company.

Given is performance against Fury, Ngannou is one of the hottest commodities in combat sports right now, but there is likely no bigger fight he can have than a boxing rematch with Fury based on how much better and closer their clash was than most expected.

Tyson Fury is set to face Oleksandr Usyk next year.

Chris Eubank Jr has stated that Tyson Fury is no longer the favourite when he steps into the ring with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury endured one of the hardest nights of his career last month when he was dropped by Francis Ngannou, a boxing debutant, before escaping with his unbeaten record via split decision.

The damage endured by Fury against Ngannou means the December 23 date that was intended to host his fight against Usyk is no longer happening.

February next year now looks the most likely option for the bout, and Eubank Jr, one of the world’s leading middleweights, has had his say on the heavyweight blockbuster.

“I think that that will probably light a fire under his a—e,” said Eubank Jr when speaking to Seconds Out.

“[He] needs to get [his] stuff together, because if [he] goes in there against Usyk like against Ngannou, there’s no way [he] can win. Fury is probably an underdog.

In a wide ranging interview with Louis Theroux, Anthony Joshua has opened up about the fights he got into when he was younger and how his knuckles became scarred after taking on six men at once.

Joshua, a former two-time heavyweight champion, is best known for doing his fighting in the ring, boasting a record of 26 wins and just three defeats in his twenty-nine professional fights.

But speaking to Theroux as part of a BBC documentary series, Joshua opened up about the times he would get into fights as a kid

‘AJ’ is currently on the rebuild after back-to-back defeats to Usyk, where he lost and failed to regain his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO titles.

Anthony Joshua

Unlike his heavyweight counterparts, Joshua has been keen to remain active this year, with victories over American, Jermaine Franklin, and a stunning once punch knockout over Robert Helenius.

The 34-year-old had been expected to take on hard hitting and fellow former champion, Deontay Wilder, in December, but the agreed offer from Saudi Arabia’s Skills Challenge Promotions was withdrawn and now that fight still appears to be some way off happening.

Joshua is still planning to get out before the end of the year with the hope of getting a another title shot in 2024 and becoming only the fifth ever three-time heavyweight champion.

Anthony Joshua has blamed his ego and pride for his meltdown which followed his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

Former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua first lost his belts to Usyk in September 2021 and failed to reclaim the world titles in their rematch last August. ‘AJ’ was restrained by members of his team after lashing out as he swiftly exited the ring only to return moments later and go on a bizarre rant.

“It was like ‘These [belts] don’t even mean anything anyway, yeah what?’ I ain’t got them and because I ain’t got them, they don’t mean anything. Right or wrong, I’ve thrown them because that’s what I felt like. I grabbed the mic and addressed the crowd, could I have done it better? Of course I could have,” Joshua told Louis Theroux.

“I had just finished a 12-round fight and I felt frustrated and annoyed. I knew I was out of the title race and the questions started, ‘What is he like, where is his head at?’, all of this ‘Can he be three-time champion of the world?’ People now create this narrative and put pressure on me, it’s too much. Gone are the days when it was for the fun, when you are just doing it for the passion and you are a prospect.”

Joshua has won back-to-back fights since losing to Usyk as he beat Jermaine Franklin in April and knocked out Robert Helenius in August. The Brit’s promoter Eddie Hearn was hoping to sort ‘AJ’ one more fight before the end of the year, but it seems unlikely he will fight again until early next year.

Joshua has been linked to fight against fellow knockout artist Deontay Wilder for years but their mega-fight is yet to take place. Wilder hasn’t fought since knocking out Helenius in less than two minutes over a year ago, but he insists he is ready to fight and is waiting on Joshua.

“I’m letting you know right now, right here, I’m ready to fight and get in that ring. Let’s make this the best time of our lives. This will be a major disaster if we would never be able to get in the ring and put our stamp down in history. When people think about classic or great fights, I want them to think about us as well,” Wilder said.

two bedroom ex-council flat in 2017 after earning an estimated £15million from defeating Wladimir Klitschko, beat Robert Helenius in August and is on the hunt for his next fight ahead of 2024.

The British boxer sat down with Louis Theroux to discuss his close relationship with his family and warned future girlfriends they’ll need to compete with his mum, Yeta Odusanya.

‘I still live with my mum,’ the two-time world champion told the BBC. ‘In our culture, we grew up in our own family home, we support our parents.

‘Why am I going to move out and leave my mum by herself, for some girl? Family is the most important thing.

When a girl gets with me, she ain’t just marrying me, she’s marrying my family.’

The grounded boxing star, who is not publicly in a relationship, admitted that he likes to keep his personal life private as he cannot live up to the expectations people have of him.

He continued: ‘Are we going to dissect everything I say and use it as a narrative to create a story? That’s why I keep myself to myself.

‘You put all this pressure on yourself to come and be this big star and be perfect.

‘I’m telling you, they’ll pull you down. The higher you are, the bigger the drop.’

Joshua was previously in an on-off relationship with the mother of his child, former school friend Nicole Osbourne, whom he once bought a £500,000 flat not far from his home.

In April, the heavyweight fighter called Laura Woods his ‘dream date’ in a flirty interview with the presenter after his comeback win over Jermaine Franklin.

Woods, who is now dating former Love Island star Adam Collard, asked Joshua what he thought of his career so far and the boxer replied: ‘I think it’s blossomed amazingly, just like you.’

The flirty exchange continued as Joshua joked that former Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek had ‘beaten him to it’ by naming Woods as his crush

When the popular presenter asked who his dream date was, AJ said: You. I know Loftus Cheek has beaten me to it!’

Woods then joked that there’s no competition between the sportsmen before asking him about his current relationship status.

Joshua said: ‘With boxing I didn’t want to commit because I didn’t want to go training and then I’m busy arguing with my Mrs or something and my head’s not in the game.

‘So I just decided to keep my head where it needs to be. I’ve seen good relationships and bad ones.’

The historic fight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury that has shaken the foundations of boxing may have a second exciting chapter.

At least that’s what the former UFC heavyweight champion, who faced the world boxing champion in his first fight in the sport on October 28, wants.

That is the intention of the 37-year-old Cameroonian, who revealed to TMZ Sports that he is willing to wait until a few months after the fight between ‘The Gypsy King’ and Oleksandr Usyk, scheduled for February 2024.

“I would be willing to wait [for Fury to fight Usyk]. I know that they are going to fight, they had a contract already, so they are going to fight sometime in February instead of December 23, which is my fault,” Ngannou said smiling.

“I shouldn’t have cut him. He would’ve fought December 23, and maybe we would’ve run it back early next year,” added ‘The Predator’.

Too soon to fight Joshua

On the other hand, Anthony Joshua, through his promoter Eddie Hearn, has said he is willing to fight Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on December 28, something that does not convince the African champion.

“First of all, it’s too soon. Secondly, my focus, as boxing is concerned, is a rematch with Tyson. That’s the most important thing for me right now, everything else for boxing comes after,” explained ‘The Predator’, who also doesn’t value a showdown with Deontay Wilder or Joseph Parker

Amid the clinks of champagne glasses and the buzz of celebration, November 7 carves out a unique echo in the boxing world. Today marks the ascent of Gervonta Davis into his 29th chapter, and the internet is alight with more than just candles. A particular homage, woven from the threads of boxing royalty, has resurfaced – a nugget of raw, undiluted praise. It doesn’t come from just anyone.

Picture the baddest man on the planet, his fists once a source of terror, now clasped in applause for another. Mike Tyson, the epitome of boxing greatness, has a message for the birthday boy. But it’s not your regular, run-of-the-mill birthday wish. It’s a testament, loaded with a heavy-handed compliment that only someone of Tyson’s caliber could deliver.

Iron Mike’s seal of approval

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ rise through the ranks of boxing has been nothing short of spectacular. Recently, he added another notch to his belt by knocking out Ryan Garcia with a fierce body shot. Amplifying his already formidable reputation. Moreover, his undefeated streak stands tall. His record a gleaming 29-0, showcasing the potency of his punch and the sharpness of his skill. Amidst this, the ringing endorsement of a legend resurfaces, adding further luster to Davis’ 29th birthday celebrations.

Moreover, Mike Tyson, a figure synonymous with raw power and pugilistic prestige, stepped into the spotlight with a message for the champion. His words carried the weight of his legacy, and the brevity of his statement only underscored its significance. “I wish you the best, n***a, cause you’re the best,” Tyson declared, his tone a mix of respect and firm belief in Davis’ prowess.

Legal left hooks: Gervonta Davis might never box again

Gervonta Davis, amidst the prime of his boxing career, now faces an adversary

that can’t be outmaneuvered with footwork or silenced by a knockout: the legal system. Initially dodging a two-year sentence, Davis was anchored to a 90-day house arrest. However, a startling violation—opting for a penthouse view over confinement—landed him back in court. This twist saw the remainder of his sentence turning to jail time.

Davis’ aspirations for a swift ring return are shackled by these legal woes. Expressing concern, he hinted at an indefinite hiatus, with rigorous training being a judge’s gavel away from possibility. Skeptics question if these are maneuverings to dodge accountability or genuine hurdles. As the bell tolls on this chapter of his life, Davis confronts the stark reality that his toughest fights now await outside the squared circle.

As we’ve journeyed from the heights of praise by legends like Mike Tyson to the challenges of navigating legal battles, it’s clear that the path forward is fraught with uncertainty. With his career hanging in the balance, one must wonder if Davis can bob and weave through these troubles to reclaim his statu. Or if he will be counted out by circumstances beyond the canvas.

Will Gervonta Davis rise to the occasion? Or will this legal entanglement mark a knockdown too difficult to recover from? What do you think is the next round in the saga of ‘Tank’ Davis?

Sean O’Malley is one of the popular UFC fighters who has given a great show to the MMA community every time he has stepped foot inside the cage. He is a prospect UFC is gambling on to become an asset like former two-weight champion Conor McGregor. Interestingly, using his stardom, ‘Suga’ is making big moves outside UFC too, and one of them is crossover boxing.

The 29-year-old fighter has shown interest in a boxing crossover several times, and among all the names coming up for the opponent, Gervonta Davis is the most common. The two have even been involved in a back-and-forth on the internet. However, O’Malley’s recent remarks about boxers didn’t settle well with fans.

During an interview with TheMMAHour, he expressed how boxers cannot match his skills and that they will easily tap out. He said that he could easily beat skilled boxers like Gervonta Davis, Shakur Stevenson, and Devin Haney, all of them in a MMA bout in just one night. He said:

A fan reacted to the statement by comparing the top athletes of two completely different sports and said: “Lebron James says he would beat Messi, Ronaldo & Neymar in a basketball game”

Another fan commented, “Lol. He’s the one begging to go box them because he knows there’s no money in MMA.”

Sean O’Malley’s skills, record, and amusing persona justify his similarity to that of the Irishman. That being said, Sean O’Malley wants to follow in ‘The Notorious’ and transcend the MMA cage soon. However, before that he has another challenge coming up for him in the UFC.

Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera next

UFC head honcho Dana White recently announced three pay-per-views for 2024. One of which is UFC 299, which will be headlined by Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera for the bantamweight title.

This will be the second time the bantamweight stars will meet inside the cage. Earlier, ‘Suga’ faced Vera at UFC 252 and suffered his first UFC defeat via knockout in the first round.

Since then, there has been bad blood between the two, and this will only add to the excitement of the fans. It will be O’Malley’s first-ever title defense and also a chance for redemption.

Keeping in mind the growing stardom, Sean O’Malley, the fighter, is expected to go above and beyond in the combat world. However, it remains to be seen how he performs against his old rival. And also if the UFC star enters boxing waters someday.

Not the best news for Gervonta Davis‘s fans. Even the best have their baggage to carry and for Davis, it is the consequences of his own doing. In February, Davis pleaded guilty to a hit-and-run incident from 2020 in a Baltimore court. His sentencing, initially set for May 5, was delayed. Davis also confessed to four traffic offences, including injuring a pregnant woman during the accident.

The last fight of Davis had him battling Ryan Garcia in front of a packed audience of 20,842. Five-division champion Davis emerged triumphant, delivering a potent straight left to Garcia’s body. This blow caused a delayed reaction from Garcia, leading him to take a knee. Will we get to see him in action again? ‘Tank’ has revealed he might not grace the ring again. Why though?

More trouble for Gervonta Davis

Gervonta Davis

In a legal twist, Davis, facing a potential seven-year prison term, the court initially sentenced him to 90 days of house arrest instead. Originally, he faced two years in prison along with 60 days. However, in June 2023, Davis found himself back in custody for violating home detention terms. During an unexpected hearing, he was ordered to serve the remaining 90 days in jail. Surprisingly, instead of complying with the rules, Davis opted for a luxurious stay at a penthouse inside the Four Seasons, raising eyebrows in legal circles. There might just be more trouble in store for the champion.

Responding to a fan’s question about Davis’s comeback, he said “Maybe never..the judge won’t like me leave for proper training. Might be over!” Owing to these legal controversies, Davis is unable to train the right way to prepare for a match. Davis might stop even trying to land another match for himself. Some believe these are nothing but excuses and Davis should take responsibility for his actions.

‘Tank’s legal history

Aside from his boxing career, Davis has faced numerous legal issues. In December 2022, he was arrested for Battery Causing Bodily Harm in Fort Lauderdale, FL. However, the accuser withdrew her accusations and Davis was free again. With the accuser retracting the statement, Davis successfully defended his WBA regular lightweight title against Garcia in January.

In fact, let us take it back to 2017. Davis faced accusations of first-degree aggravated assault, later reduced to misdemeanor second-degree assault, stemming from an incident where he allegedly punched his childhood friend, Anthony Wheeler. Wheeler eventually dropped the charges. In 2018, the police arrested Davis for disorderly conduct after a street fight. Another arrest followed in 2020 when he was charged with misdemeanor simple battery domestic violence, captured on video grabbing his child’s mother aggressively. However, the prosecution eventually dropped the charges in the Miami-Dade County court.

Fans might face some disappointment with this news. However, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet. It still remains a possibility. Do you think Davis is making excuses? Would he retire for good?
