Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s daughter has been in troubled waters lately. Last year, the young woman pleaded guilty to assault. Even though the case has been dismissed, spectators are observing Yaya’s signs of personal growth and openly expressing their support for her progress.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s daughter is the essence of sibling love

Yaya posted a special message for Halloween on her Instagram, titled “my heart my everything.” In a world that is so rife with hate and love, family does unite. After a traumatizing 3 years of court proceedings and arrest, it is obvious that Yaya has the support of her family. Yaya’s gesture serves as a poignant reminder of the genuine emotions that connect us all. The sincerity in her words transcends the boundaries of celebrity status, reminding everyone of the universal value of love and kinship.

Yaya’s trouble with the law

In April 2020, Iyanna Mayweather allegedly attacked Lapattra Jacobs, another woman, at rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again‘s home. Law enforcement arrested Mayweather. The altercation occurred in the kitchen after Jacobs claimed she was NBA’s fiance. Mayweather escalated the situation by attacking Jacobs with two kitchen knives.

Initially, Mayweather faced a potential 99-year sentence, and authorities ordered her to maintain distance from Jacobs. After the assault, authorities released her on a $30,000 bond. However, in April 2022, Mayweather pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The case was dismissed after deferred judgment, and she is currently serving a 6-year probation term.

In January 2021, in the middle of her proceedings, Yaya announced the arrival of her son, Kentrell, with NBA YoungBoy. Yaya, then 20 years old, shared the delightful news on her Instagram story. Her son, now 2, is the apple of the Patriarch’s eye. He keeps appearing on and off on ‘Money’s Instagram page.

Although troubled, Yaya Mayweather’s relationship with her brother, Koraun, serves as a heartwarming example of the enduring bonds of family can bring.

Footage of Gervonta Davis back at the training camp recently made the news. Ryan Garcia, likely not wanting to be outdone, prepared his videos: ‘Training in the Lab.” Over two posts, @overtimeboxing shared the clips early today. In one ‘KingRy,’ flanked by his father and coach Henry Garcia and younger brother, Sean Garcia fools around over fast-paced music. On the other hand, he and Henry Garcia try speed work on pads.

But, as it appears, convincing the fans and followers might prove a bit of a hard nut to crack. Many felt that he had been improving and looked much better than he used to. However, to quite a few, especially those who saw the dancing footage, ‘KingRy’ appeared on a wild goose chase.

Ryan Garcia’s pad work ‘Tanks’

The clips seem to have shocked the following user, who believes that the loss to Gervonta Davis had not gone over well with Ryan Garcia: “Yeah, he’s obviously not taking the Tank loss well.” Then, the next user slammed ‘KingRy’ for fighting solely to bolster his reputation. Otherwise, ‘Tank’ had already demonstrated the sort of rubbish he is after defeating him in April: “Ryan, quit your legacy. You [are] boxing for clout and nothing else. [Tank] showed you what joking is, and you got slammed, so end it.

According to the following user, there’s much chatting from Garcia, just like Shakur Stevenson. But unfortunately, that has very little to do with boxing: “Bro is being just like Shakur, doing a lot of talking, but else we’re doing something that [has] nothing to do with boxing.” However, there were a few who felt Ryan Garcia’s boxing had improved overall.

Gervonta Tank Davis

For instance, this fan believes that Garcia has progressed and moved from where he once stood. Hence, he deserves a rematch for sure. The fan said, “He needs a rematch; [to be honest], he looks like he’s improved himself.” Then, this fan urged the Californian to keep a high guard while lunging. Sharing that his hard work will not go unnoticed, the fan mentioned that developments in Garcia’s boxing were becoming more pronounced: “Keep your hands up when you lung Ryan; keep working tho, we see you. We see the progress.

Finally, this user stated poignantly that the hallmark of a good boxer is that he learns from those who have succeeded. For example, Canelo Alvarez learned a great lesson from Floyd Mayweather Jr. Likewise, Ryan Garcia learned from Gervonta Davis. The user said, “A good boxer learns from better boxers. Canelo learned from Floyd, and Garcia is learning from Tank. Fans of the sport love to see it.

A December showdown for ‘KingRy’s redemption journey

Everyone deserves a second chance. The more pressing concern, however, remains whether or not the efforts put into redeeming are earnest. Ryan Garcia lost probably the most critical bout of his 7-year-old career to Gervonta Davis in April. There might have been doubts in many minds about whether or not the young boxing star could successfully bounce back. However, he is just 25 and has many more years of boxing ahead of him.

The California-born boxer will return after a gap of 7 months to face Oscar Duarte on December 2 at San Antonio’s Alamodome. With an 80% knockout-to-win rate, the Mexican displays a keen liking for early stoppages. Though it could be an uphill task for him, a win over a heavy hitter like Duarte will go a long way toward putting Ryan Garcia’s career back on track.

In a whirlwind of anticipation, fans of boxing sensation Gervonta Davis found themselves on the edge of their seats as the champion hinted at his much-anticipated return to the ring. His record of 29-0, out of which he won 27 through K.O. is a testament to the strength he holds. There were even talks of him potentially facing off against Devin Haney though the fight couldn’t materialize as ‘The Dream’ went up in weight to face Regis Prograis.

However, fate had something drastic in store for Davis as the boxer found himself in trouble with the law. He pleaded guilty to four counts of hit-and-run after being involved in a car crash. Moreover, he was even sentenced to house arrest for 90 days. However, after he violated the terms of his house arrest, he was sent to serve the rest of his sentence in prison. Following her unanimous decision win over Maricela Cornejo this past weekend, there are two names Claressa Shields should look to face next, Shadashia Green and undisputed women’s super middleweight champion Franchon Crews Dezurn.

Those are the views of Ak and Barak who discussed Shields’ future on The DAZN Boxing Show.

“There is a fight out there I would like to see Claressa take and that’s Shadasia Green,” Ak said.

“We talk about talent and skillwise, I think she is seeking for that big opportunity, that big fight, for that legacy opponent.

“Claressa, she’s done so much in this sport, she’s fighting in the PFL, she’s been open to WWE if they give her a call, she’s becoming a star.

Claressa Shield

“She is still searching for that fight, that elite opponent that’s going to give her a real challenge.”

A clash with Green is also one that Barak is eager to see.

“She shows a lot of skill. I’ve been in camp with Shadasia Green, she punches extremely hard,” Barak began.

“Some say Savannah Marshall punches hard too, she got a lot of knockouts as well and Claressa was able to take her shots and make her miss. So that’s probably that fight we need to see.”

In addition to Green, Barak expressed his desire to see Shields try and become an undisputed champion in a third weight class.

“But a third undisputed title she can at least try for at 168lbs is fighting her very good friend, almost her sister, Franchon Crews who she fought early in her career.

“Obviously they’re both better, they’re both seasoned and that would be a great fight with the winner fighting Shadasia Green.”

Let’s go!” Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk confirm they will fight next to unify WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles to decide undisputed world champion; It was expected to be on December 23 but date now in doubt after Fury’s much tougher-than-anticipated clash with Francis Ngannou

Tyson Fury will fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight championship next.

Fury escaped an astonishing upset defeat on Saturday when he climbed off the canvas to narrowly, and highly contentiously, edge out Francis Ngannou on a split decision.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou was having just his first boxing bout when he took on Fury in a crossover event in Saudi Arabia.

It was a non-title 10-round bout, so Fury was never in danger of losing his WBC heavyweight championship. But his pride and reputation will have taken a severe dent ahead of the most important contest of his career.

Between them, Fury and Usyk hold all four of the major heavyweight world titles.

Usyk, like Fury, has never lost a professional bout. Since Usyk completed his second victory over Anthony Joshua last year to defend his unified championships, the clamour to see him fight Fury, the WBC heavyweight titlist, has continued to grow, even if that most unlikely boxer of all – Francis Ngannou – has inserted himself into the conversation after 10 unexpectedly competitive rounds.

Fury did sign for the Usyk fight before his 10-rounder with Ngannou so likely saw the former UFC champion more as a tune-up bout than a competitive outing.

Usyk has been his ultimate target. They engaged in a high-profile war of words as negotiations for their bout started up in the early part of this year but then stalled.

Instead, Usyk defended his WBO, IBF and WBA belts against spirited British challenger Daniel Dubois in August and then Fury agreed to box Ngannou.

Once Fury emerged from the clash with Ngannou with a win, albeit a controversial one, he could confirm his showdown with Usyk.

The two faced off in the ring in the immediate aftermath of the Ngannou fight.

“Let’s go!” Fury said.

Usyk said just the same. “Let’s go,” he replied. “I’m going to be fighting him, amazing.”

“Let’s go now if you want,” Fury continued.

“It’ll be our next fight guaranteed.”

There is no date set for it just yet, but it had been expected to be December 23, but that is now in doubt as Fury had a much tougher-than-anticipated clash with Ngannou. He was dropped and finished visibly marked up on his forehead, with swelling around his left eye.

He will need to assess his recovery before confirming when he will be able to box next.

Fury vs Usyk had to happen

Britain’s Fury first became a unified world champion when he sensationally defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

He never lost those titles in the ring but they became vacant when he didn’t box for more than two years.

He made a remarkable return in 2018 and controversially drew with Deontay Wilder that year. Fury beat Wilder in a rematch to win the WBC title and triumphed again in a sensational 2021 trilogy fight.

Last year he headlined two stadium fights in London, stopping both Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora to defend his title

The undisputed heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is unlikely to happen until next year, says promoter Frank Warren.

Fury beat Francis Ngannou on Saturday via a controversial split decision in a non-title fight in Saudi Arabia.

Briton Fury is the WBC champion and has agreed to fight Ukraine’s Usyk, who holds the three other world titles.

“We were going to do it on 23 December. I doubt that will happen now,” Warren told the 5 Live boxing podcast.

“Tyson can’t be going into a camp after a tough fight like that. That’s eight weeks away.

“He needs at least a bit of time to get himself, his body, back into shape. Let it heal. Then get into a camp. It will be on early next year.”

WBA, WBO and IBF champion Usyk was ringside in Riyadh and the two faced off in the ring after the fight.

Usyk later insisted the fight had to happen on 23 December.

“We have a contract that says the fight has to take place on 23 December. Let Fury vacate his title first, then he can take his rest,” he told Boxing King Media.

Negotiations for a meeting between Fury and Usyk went on for the best part of a year until it was agreed in September.

A fight against Fury, which would crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era, would form part of ‘Riyadh Season’ – an entertainment events festival held in Saudi Arabia’s capital every winter since 2019.

“‘Riyadh season’ finishes in March, so [Fury-Usyk] could take place up until March,” Warren said.

Fury-Ngannou also formed part of ‘Riyadh Season’, with the Saudi Arabian government reportedly paying big money to host the crossover bout.

However, the country’s increased involvement in global sport has proved controversial.

Saudi Arabia’s increasing desire to host elite sporting events – including boxing matches, an annual Formula 1 race and a bid for the 2034 World Cup – has brought scrutiny because of the country’s poor human rights record.

Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince, said in September he “does not care” about accusations the country is “sportswashing” – namely, investing in sport and using high-profile events to quell criticism of its practices and improve its international reputation.

French-Cameroonian Ngannou is a former UFC heavyweight champion who was making his boxing debut in Riyadh.

The 37-year-old novice came close to pulling off one the greatest shocks in boxing history against the undefeated Fury – a man considered by many as the best heavyweight boxer in the world.

Ngannou dropped Fury in round three after connecting with a left hook. One judge scored it 95-94 in favour of the debutant, two gave it to Fury at 96-93 and 95-94.

“I thought Tyson won it, I thought he won by three rounds at least,” Warren said.

The Queensberry promoter said he has advised Fury to take some time off after Ngannou gave him “the toughest fight he’s had in the last three fights”.

“I said go have a break. You don’t need to make any decisions tonight. You do it to your agenda,” Warren added.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn echoed some boxing fans and fighters on social media, who felt Ngannou should have been awarded the decision.

Hearn felt Ngannou won “by two rounds” and “Tyson Fury looked like he’s never laced a pair of gloves before”.

Speaking to Matchroom Boxing’s YouTube channel, Hearn called for Fury to offer Ngannou a rematch or face Britain’s two-time world champion Anthony Joshua.

“Forget Fury v Usyk, give us ‘AJ’ v Fury,” he said. “AJ will knock Tyson Fury out within six rounds. Make the fight otherwise we’ll never get it.”

Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury should be next on the list of boxing’s biggest fights to make, according to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn.

Hearn, the chairman of Matchroom Boxing and one of the sport’s leading promoters, has been campaigning for a clash between the two Brits for several years.

Having labeled a potential clash between Joshua and Fury as the biggest fight in British boxing history, Hearn recently stated that the time to organize the heavyweight bout was now.

In the wake of Fury’s controversial win over Francis Ngannou, Eddie Hearn shared with Boxing Social his thoughts on a possible fight between Joshua and ‘The Gypsy King’:

Former unified heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, is continuing his comeback in an attempt to become just the fifth ever three-time title holder in the division’s history.

Even though the goal for ‘AJ’ is to get his belts back, he’s made it clear he wants to face the biggest names in the division before hanging up the gloves.

Joshua has been linked to a clash with Deontay Wilder for over half a decade, dating back to when a showdown between the two rivals would have been for the undisputed title.

Since then, both men have lost their belts and undefeated records. Still, they remain in talks for what would be one of boxing’s most highly anticipated matchups.

In an interview with Boxing Social, promoter Eddie Hearn maintained that Joshua-Wilder could still go ahead, but said the one man AJ wants to face more than anybody else is fellow Brit, Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua

“We’re in talks about [Las] Vegas, we’re in talks about sites in the Middle East and I do think that we will see that fight. I think that AJ will fight in December or early January and then I think there’s no other fight, other than the Deontay Wilder fight.

That’s the one that we want, we’ve wanted it for a while now. We were ready to take that fight in January, we are happy to take that fight in March or April. I don’t see a reason to wait around.”

“AJ wants to fight Tyson Fury more than anything in the world and really, when I am mapping out his career, I see Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury as the final two for him to compete against. He wants that Fury fight desperately, he wants that fight bad.”

One way Joshua could get the opportunity to face Fury – who will soon fight to become undisputed – would be to first defeat Wilder.

Terence Crawford is officially done with fighting mandatory challengers and nondescript opponents for paychecks that won’t change his life.

After making tens of millions for his win against Errol Spence Jr., Crawford admitted that from here on out, only big fights interest him. At the age of 36, it isn’t just a fascination with making top dollar but Crawford would love to add a bit more icing on a Hall of Fame level cake.

The Omaha, Nebraska, native is a fan of making history. With his win over Spence, he became the first undisputed champion in two weight classes, no one has done it more than once.

If he wanted, Crawford could remove his gloves, kick off his boxing shoes, and walk off into retirement. He would be satisfied if he did but Crawford is going for the trifecta.

Originally, Crawford was interested in moving up to the junior middleweight division to take on Jermell Charlo for his undisputed status. But, as luck would have it, Charlo was stripped of his WBO title and would ultimately go on to lose against Canelo Alvarez.

Terence Bud Crawford

Presently, only Alvarez can give Crawford what he desires. There might be 21 pounds in-between them but there’s money to be made and a legacy to cement in fighting Alvarez.

To some, Crawford’s ambitions are teetering on lunacy. But, Tyson Fury, more than most, knows a thing or two about laughing in the face of those who believe he’s lost his mind.

On paper, beating Alvarez might seem like an impossible task considering that Crawford would have to move up three weight classes. Still, from Fury’s point of view, even if the rest of the world doesn’t think he can do it, as long as Crawford believes in himself, that’s all that matters.

“He’s an awesome fighter, both of them are,” Fury told Fight Hub TV. “I think it’s a good fight. If he believes in himself then go for it.”
