Simone Biles is not going to keep any stone unturned while aiming for the Paris Olympics in 2024. On previous notes, the most decorated artistic gymnast repeatedly admitted to her unfinished job at the Olympics. From time to time, that hurried pullout from the Tokyo Olympics gave Simone Biles the lowest feeling ever. Expressing that situation, the 26-year-old legend claimed, “I felt like a failure.” But as a comeback option, she proved to be ready to try her Olympic suit once again. So as a part of the plan, for the last few weeks, Simone Biles kept herself busy in the Simone Biles Invitational.

But soon, concluding that gymnastics camp, the phenom threw herself into the training engagement hosted by the US authority. That unveiled a serious interest from the fans to take a look at Simone’s talent again. The result turned out to be riveting.

Simone Biles displays her national prowess once again

The US National Training Camp in Texas sent a call to the pivotal gymnasts from the country to try their measure under supervision. This time, the role of keeping supervision went to former Olympic champion gymnast Carly Patterson. Being a strict follower of routines, Simone Biles didn’t obliterate her gymnastic flips as well on Monday. In a thorough showcase of sporting abilities, the seven-time Olympic medalist took up the vault drill, especially the Amanar. Soon, in an ethereal display of prowess, Simone Biles wrapped up the drill with a smooth landing. Spot Gym’s X-post captured the lively framing of that aerial flipping. Fitting with that performance, the caption of the post went, “Magnificent Amanar by Simone Biles at the US National Camp.”

Moreover, on Monday, Simone displayed her natural moves in the rotations on uneven bars. Nevertheless, the Amanar Vault (named after Simona Amanar) attracted many more highlights for unavoidable reasons. In 2023, the former world champion wasn’t ready to try that drill. Meanwhile, in the Tokyo Olympics team final, that vault resulted in her twisties. That memory was still fresh in the athlete’s memory for a longer period of time. But the visuals from Monday proved Simone Biles’s upper hand in the situation.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles’s early exit because of her twisties changed her thought process somehow. Previously, the athlete had made several arguments for having a strict life without familiar ones’ presence. But after Jonathan Owens came into her life, Simone embraced the situation in a better way. Her shift to normal days also came through thoroughly. Last year, the gymnast attended the Belgium World Championship and ended up with four gold medals. The US Classic title last year was another proof of her sound return.

Now in the Olympic year, she tried that move that had once kept her jolted. All these precursors are hinting at Simone Biles’s glorious athletic return.

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles and 2020 Olympic individual gold medalist Suni Lee’s names were missing from the 2024 Winter Cup entry list.

The 2024 Winter Cup is scheduled to be held from February 23 to 25, at the International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky, with elite athletes embarking on the Olympic year.

The 2012 London Olympics individual gold medalist Gabby Douglas will make a comeback to the sport after staying silent for eight years. However, Biles, who withdrew from the last Olympics after experiencing twisties, and Lee, who had to end her college career post the Tokyo Olympics after facing a kidney issue, are missing from the entry list.

With the Paris Olympics nearing, this year’s event gains increased interest. The Winter Cup serves as the qualifying event for the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships and helps athletes earn their spots on junior and senior national teams.

Biles made a return to elite gymnastics after a two-year hiatus at the 2023 U.S Classic at the Hoffman Estates, clinching three gold medals, including the all-around, balance beam, and floor exercise events. Despite their Olympic ambitions, Biles and Lee are absent from this competition.

The other prominent athletes to compete alongside Douglas are Skye Blakely, Olympic silver medalist Jordan Chiles, Pan American gold medalist Kaliya Lincoln and Zoe Miller, three-time NCAA Champion Trinity Thomas, and Tiana Sumanasekera.

As the Paris 2024 Olympics draw near, the gymnastics world waits for epic showdowns. Two icons are poised to return to the Olympic stage again after having a roller coaster ride since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and they are Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee. As the 2024 gymnastics season kicks off, all eyes are on the Winter Cup set to unfold in the United States.

The Winter Cup is a qualifying event for the 2024 U.S. Gymnastics Championships and also selects the junior and senior national teams. However, despite their aspirations for Olympic glory, it seems that the two icons, Simone Biles and Suni Lee, are missing out on this vital competition

In an Instagram post by USA Gymnastics, the account shared the “Women’s Winter Cup entry list.” On the list were formidable names like Isabella Anzola, Jordan Chiles, Zoe Miller, Skye Blakely, Nola Matthews, Gabby Douglas also making a comeback, Trinity Thomas, and many other junior and senior women who were competing in the event. However, notable absences from the list included Sunisa Lee and Simone Biles. But it’s not just these two icons, Lee and Biles, who are sitting out the Winter Cup 2024.

Shilese Jones, who also won medals at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, also seemed to be missing from the list. Other missing competitors include Jade Carey, the 2023 Swiss Cup winner, and Leanne Wong, another world championship competitor, who are currently busy competing for their college teams in the 2024 NCAA season. Additionally, Joscelyn Roberson, who was at the Worlds last year, is recovering from an ankle injury and was also missing from the list. Despite the icons missing in action, the 2024 Winter Cup will be a thrilling spectacle.

The 2024 Winter Cup is scheduled for February 23–25, 2024, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The competition will feature both junior and senior women competing. The junior women’s competition is scheduled for Friday, February 23, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, while the senior women’s competition is on Saturday, February 24, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

Fans worldwide can catch all the thrilling action by streaming it live on the USA Gymnastics YouTube channel. With just days left for the epic competition to begin, gymnastics fans eagerly await the kickoff of the Olympic year in grand style for elite American women gymnasts.

Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens are busy building their dream house. The gymnast always ensures to take some time out of her busy schedule to give fans the latest updates about the home.

Most recently, the Olympic and World Champion gave fans an insight on how the construction is going and what the finished home would look like. She did so by sharing pictures of the kitchen and wardrobe.

In a series of Instagram stories, Biles first let fans know that the stucco of the house is being done, writing:

She then shared a picture of an outside wall textured with stones and captioned it:

In another story, Biles shared a picture of the huge kitchen, complete with wooden cabinets and a big window. She also expressed her love for her wardrobe, writing:

Biles and her husband Owens first broke ground on their Texas home all the way back in March 2023, two months before they flew out to San Lucas, Mexico, to tie the knot. Since then, she has made sure to update fans about her home building journey, whether good or bad.

In November last year, Biles had shared the frustrations of having to deal with construction work. In her Instagram story, the American stated that she’d ended up having to deal with an issue that took her over six hours, and had to call her dad to help her out.

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles is hoping to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, but it sounds like it’s not guaranteed that she’ll be able to make the trip.

While speaking to Leah Faye Cooper of Vanity Fair, Biles said, “If I don’t make it to Paris, it won’t absolutely crush me.” When asked if that meant nothing was definitive she replied, “Correct.”

The last time Biles competed in the Olympics at the 2020 Tokyo Games, she was forced to withdraw from multiple finals in order to focus on her mental health. She had experienced the “twisties,” which Korin Miller of Women’s Health described as “a strange phenomenon in gymnastics where someone can no longer do a twisting skill they’ve done many times in the past.”

Biles managed to take home the bronze medal on the balance beam in the Tokyo Olympics, which tied the record for most Olympic medals by an American gymnast. However, she took a two-year hiatus from the sport of gymnastics to focus on her mental health, and she admitted it wasn’t easy during her time away.

“I wish I could sit here and tell you it was glorious,” Biles said of her time off following Tokyo. “When I took a break after 2016, I had the time of my life. I was doing anything and everything. But after 2020, it was kind of depressing until I started therapy and got help. I felt like a failure. Even though I was empowering so many people and speaking out about mental health, every time I talked about my experience in Tokyo—because it obviously didn’t go the way that I had planned—it stung a little bit. But all in all, it was the best decision.”

Biles returned to training in late 2022 and returned to competition earlier this year. The 26-year-old set a new record when she won her eighth all-around title at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in August. She set the record for most international gymnastics medals when she won her sixth all-around title at the world championships in Belgium in October, giving her 34 for her career.

It’s clear that Biles is still at the top of her game, so gymnastics fans are surely hoping to see her add to her illustrious career at the Paris Olympics.

While one might celebrate this Valentine’s Day with loved ones, Simone Biles got the greatest set of updates on her brand-new house. The Texas resident has been building a new home from scratch with her husband, Jonathan Owens. While the construction is still in progress, it’s come a long way since it was just a plot of land.

Recently, she took her fans through a journey with room-by-room updates on the house. From new walls to procuring her dream set of stones for the exteriors, the star gymnast is excited to start a new chapter. The house, although under construction, looked lavish and fit Biles’ vision.

The series of stories featured the outside of the mansion, interiors, kitchen, closet space, and more. With roomy spaces and elegant looks, it looks like the millionaire gymnast was all set to bring her dreams to reality. With her husband Owens, the house would finally serve as a new home for their close-knit family.

Apart from the many quirks that the house would eventually carry, Biles was obsessed with the space for her clothes. Known for her vast collection of clothes and accessories, ranging from luxury pieces to fun custom-made costumes for Owens’ matches, the gymnast now won’t have to overthink about closet space.

The new house located in Texas has been the gymnast’s priority project since 2022. Previously, she had flaunted glimpses of sliding doors that open up to a gorgeous outdoorsy view and an open balcony. The property is located on the banks of a beautiful lake, and Biles plans to take full advantage of the view. She wanted to do so by planning more open spaces.

Hoping to catch more sunsets and thrive beside nature, the gymnast’s home is extremely close to full construction. And to celebrate the house’s progress and an early Valentine’s, Biles did something special. She ordered her favorite food and spent quality time with her best friends.

Ringing in ‘Galentines’, Simone Biles gorges over pizza and drinks

It’s no secret that the Olympian knows how to party well. Be it hosting her lavish wedding or organizing an intimate night-in with her best friends – Biles knows what’s best. After she updated her fans on her house, she showed off what she had in store for the night. With a couple of her friends over, the women decided to have a girls’ night with some treats.

The cozy night involved heart-shaped pizzas, chocolate-covered strawberries, takeout, and a round of beverages. While she didn’t mention all of them, the one featured in her stories was Samantha Roy, NFL star Nico Collins’ partner. All of them had their fuzzy footwear and pajamas on, ready to have some fun.

Simone Biles recently shared her love and affection for her husband, Jonathan Owens after the NFL player surprised her with elegant gifts.

Biles and Owens exchanged their vows on April 22, 2023, after their engagement in February 2022. Only a few days after their marriage, Owens moved to Wisconsin after signing a new deal with the Green Bay Packers as a strong safety.

Since his move, the couple has been steering a long-distance relationship. Owens returned to Texas after the Packers finished second in the NFC Division and competed against the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional playoffs. The couple has been seen spending quality time with each other, including Owens assisting Biles with successfully organizing the 7th Biles International Invitational.

The NFL player recently gifted Biles with multiple gifts, including a Gucci bag. He also gave her items from the luxury French brand Saint Laurent. Biles shared the pictures on her Instagram story and wrote:

Jonathan Owens had a notable NFL season last year, scoring his first-ever touchdown during a faceoff against the Detroit Lions on November 23, 2024, at Fort Field in Michigan.

Have you ever wondered what balancing academics, Olympic goals, and gravity-defying flips is like? Meet University of Florida pre-med student Leanne Wong who continues to exceed expectations. She’s thriving in her courses as a Gator, skillfully navigating collegiate and elite gymnastics, and growing her bow business. Now, the Kansas-born athlete has her sights on the 2024 Paris Olympics after missing out on the Tokyo Games.

This year added a hint of diversity in professional gymnastics to the American squad raising excitement among fans. But what does Wong think about the mixture of experience gymnasts bring to the table? In a recent interview, she speaks candidly about the most decorated gymnast Simone Biles.

Simone Biles receives a shoutout

Leanne Wong recently shared her thoughts on how the world of professional gymnastics has changed with Joy Sauce. The host Samantha Pak brought up the practice of labeling gymnasts as “old” after they hit their late teens. Wong stated, “Why shouldn’t elite gymnastics be like college gymnastics? I definitely think the teams are getting a little bit older. It’s not just a bunch of young girls, but there is a mix.”

She explained using the gymnastics queen as an example, “Simone (Biles), she’s obviously had like 30 world medals and been to two Olympics. So I still feel like a young one because she’s so experienced. But it’s cool to learn from experienced gymnasts who have been to those big meets multiple times.”

Simone Biles

While praising others, one cannot forget Wong’s resilience during the Tokyo Olympics. Despite testing negative for COVID, she had to quarantine when her roommate tested positive. She spent ten days alone in a hotel room, a far cry from the Olympic experience she had imagined, as her comrades fulfilled their ambitions on the Olympic stage. However, last year saw back-to-back promising performances by the 20-year-old making her one of the strong contenders.

Leanne Wong—the versatile performer

The 2023 World Gymnastics Championship was another proof of Wong’s adaptability on the mats. She performed admirably on the vault and floor despite being under pressure, while replacing injured Joscelyn Roberson.

Meanwhile, in the collegiate circuits: She is a 15-time All-American and a two-time SEC beam winner. Since making her debut in 2022, she has been an essential member of the Florida Gators roster, helping the team to consecutive NCAA team runner-up finishes.

Leanne Wong is a perfect example of the diversity that makes Team USA stronger than ever. Along with the guidance and life lessons learned from both successes and setbacks of Simone Biles who developed into a powerful force leaving a lasting impression on the international gymnastics scene.

Simone Biles’ teammate Joscelyn Roberson recently spoke about her experience training with the former Olympic champion.

Numerous American gymnasts are busy with their preparations for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Minneapolis in late June. They are all aiming to be a part of the five-member team that will represent the USA at the Paris Olympics later this year.

Simone Biles

Simone Biles has been training alongside her teammate Joscelyn Roberson and several others at the World Champions Center (WCC) in Spring, Texas. Roberson, 17, recently spoke about her experience of training with Biles.

She add that their age gap didn’t really affect their relationship while training.

Roberson also recalled a moment before her first meeting with Biles when she was just nine years old. Biles shared a video of Roberson performing a standing back flip with a twist on social media.

Nowadays, Simone Biles is up ahead in maintaining her Paris Olympics preparation. As a part of that, the 26-year-old gymnastics sovereign appeared in the US National Training Camp at Stars Gymnastics Sports Center in Texas. There, Simone Biles flaunted her well-known moves on the mat. However, at the same time the Olympian discoursed about her takes on husband, Jonathan Owens’s stature. Despite mentioning him as “competitive”, the American gymnast batted for his heavy training mode. On that estimate, the NFL safety could come with proof just the next day.

On a social media share, Jonathan Owens revealed his new training gear recently. However, the Green Bay Packers‘ safety looked quite motivated in the session while Simone Biles was absent from the scene.

Jonathan Owens maintaining himself for the next session?

The present situation is one of the common points where one member of the couple, Biles-Owens, is away while the other is spending lonely time. But this time, Jonathan Owens is at the receiving end. After concluding the season finale against the San Francisco 49ers, the GBP regular is spending home time. On the other hand, Simone Biles is in a stringent training session, away from her husband. But JO didn’t let the loneliness devour his exercise schedule, just like Simone Biles does. On February 6, the 28-year-old NFL player shared a snippet of his exercise module. In the visual, he was taking good care of his toe using special equipment. “Nothing like a late night recovery/maintenance session with my @spacermobility equipment. Helps take my game to the next level!!!!”

Simone Biles

Moreover, in the posted snippet, JO was wearing the special band, Toe Spacers, to keep his toes adjusted. For a player belonging to a physically heavy sport, that exercise regime seemed quite usual. Having said that, the vibrating footplate seen in the same video was meant to help in regaining body balance and stability on the foot. In the past, Jonathan Owens had an issue with his ligament when he was in his high school days.

The improvement from a problematic foot

In the Pivot podcast, broadcasted in December last year, Jonathan Owens divulged a deep-rooted issue with his legs. Because of a humble beginning, Simone Biles’s husband didn’t have much idea about foot exercises. So when he was a senior at his high school, JO had to do weight training to improve his jump. However, in that drill, he had to wear ankle weights. Meanwhile, that continuous burden had ruptured his ligaments, causing an ACL fracture.

Jonathan didn’t even have a whisker about that situation. Eventually, that resulted in his problematic foot balance part. However, subsequently, the GBP team man made a thorough improvement with his motion. He passed some due credits to Simone Biles as well for motivating him to attain the form. So the latest drill took center stage where JO was still on his balance exercise. However, this time Simone Biles was not there to cheer him up.
