In the Biles clan, talent seems to run in the family. Baby Biles, aka Ronni Biles, is stepping into the world of gymnastics, following in the footsteps of her aunts, Simone Biles and Adria Biles. Despite being just one year old, Ronni has already begun an incredible journey. From her first flight to support her TT at the 2023 US Gymnastics Championships to cheering her on from afar as Simone made history at the 2023 World Championships, Ronni has been there every step of the way.

Born to Ronn Biles II, Simone’s brother, and Sammi Biles, Ronni has displayed a budding interest in the sport, often mirroring her aunt by donning matching leotards and imitating her moves. Her mother, Sammi, even gifted her a “Simone Biles: A Little Golden Book Biography” for her first birthday, further igniting her passion for gymnastics. Now, as Simone Biles proudly introduces the youngest member of the Biles clan to the world, Ronni is ready to take on the gymnastics world alongside her aunt.

Simone Biles introduces Baby Biles to the world of gymnastics

In an Instagram post shared by the Gymnastics queen on May 8, 2024, Baby Biles is taking her first steps toward becoming a gymnast. Simone Biles delightedly shared a picture of the tiny munchkin dressed in a black leotard, an exact replica of the one her aunt wore at the 2023 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships. The caption of the story read, WCC’s newest elite team member, my niece Ronni. The picture was taken at the World Champions Centre (WCC), the prestigious gymnastics training center located in Spring, Texas.

Notably, WCC is not just any training center; it is the home base of the seven-time Olympic champion Simone Biles and is owned by her parents and Baby Biles’ grandparents, Ronald and Nellie Biles. Adding to the excitement, just days before this momentous occasion, Simone Biles’ sister-in-law, Sammi Biles, took to Instagram, indicating that Baby Biles might follow in her aunt’s illustrious footsteps as a gymnast.

A full-circle moment for Ronni Biles

On May 4, 2024, Sammi Biles shared an adorable and exciting update with gymnastics and Simone Biles fans on Instagram. In the photo, Ronni was dressed in a blue leotard adorned with colorful macaroons, her eyes fixed on Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos, the French artistic gymnast who trains alongside Simone at WCC.

The caption of the post read, “How do you say? là où tout commence 🤸🏽‍♀️✨🇫🇷 ft. tiny gymnast with big dreams💫 admiring @melanie_djds972.” Translated to English, “là où tout commence” means “where everything begins.” Sammi Biles’ update stirred the hearts of fans who have been following her journey from being a fan to now entering the world of gymnastics.

After celebrating their marriage anniversary on April 22, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have reached another milestone – marking a year to their wedding ceremony in Cabo, Mexico, on May 6. In the last few months, the couple went through public scrutiny, especially after Jonathan Owens claimed, “I always say that the men are the catch” on the Pivot podcast regarding their relationship. However, the duo remained unfazed, and each time showed their fans how their bond was above everything. This was once again evident from Jonathan’s latest post commemorating their marriage anniversary.

“Still can’t believe this was a year ago already!!! Hands down the best day of my life,” Owens wrote along with the perfect moment from their wedding day in Cabo. Soon, Mrs. Owens paired beautifully on JO’s IG post as she left her mark in the comment box, “my whole heart,” with love and pride emojis.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been the pillars of strength for each other throughout. After their marriage last year, the couple had to stay in different places because of their sporting engagements. While the distance was an upset for the two, the social media outcry post-Owens’ Pivot podcast did affect Biles. The gymnast called out the ‘divorce’ trolls in her conversation in the Call Her Daddy podcast, saying: “Divorce him. Divorce him, all this crazy stuff. And like, he doesn’t even like to say divorce. He’s probably dying right now that I’ve said it like six times in a row. Divorce?” Expressing how the harsh attacks affected her, the 7x Olympic medalist once said, “One night I broke down, and I’m like, why are you guys talking about my husband like this? Yeah. Like you don’t know him.”

Amid all the cacophony regarding Simone’s preference for Jonathan Owens, the couple never failed to celebrate their relationship and bond. The recent back-to-back celebrations acted in that way.

On April 22 this year, both Simone and Jonathan showcased their love for each other by posting commemorating messages. Remembering their court marriage anniversary, Biles raised the toast with the lines, “To many more baby!!!! I wish I could marry you a million more times! I love you so much! ” Amidst the continuous social media scrutiny over their bonding, such lines prove the firm consistency between Biles and Owens. Moreover, the 7x Olympic medalist holds the Cabo Lucas ceremony higher than anything else, as she had mentioned previously.

Simone Biles’ night of being ‘12 out of 10’

Being a fan of tropical weather, Simone Biles’ ultimate preference went with Cabo San Lucas when planning her Big Day. Topping the entire ceremony, the families of Biles and Owens kept it a close-knit affair, inviting 140 guests. It was all about lavishness and gold and white decor to serve the actual hue of the celebration. Both Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens did well with their outfits: Simone appeared with four different attires, whereas Owens preferred a tan suit and a bowtie. Adding more uniqueness, the entire occasion went nervously for the revered gymnast, as she mentioned later, “I’ve never been so nervous before in my life.” In contrast, she left Cabo with eyes full of happy tears.

Riding on overwhelming emotion, Simone later penned on her IG story, “bawled my eyes out leaving CaboWe had the most beautiful wedding. I miss it already.” With the addition of a Cinco-de-Drinko-themed welcome party on the occasion, the celebration filled Simone Biles like nothing else. So when after one month, Jonathan Owens set sail for Green Bay Packers, Simone was left with all the memories to dance with. Remembering that part of her life, she later conceded, “I’m so sad it’s all over. I want to do it again. We had the best night of our lives. It was a 12 out of 10!” Such has been their story till now! After one year, the couple is looking busy again as JO has been in Chicago for NFL camp and Simone Biles has been in Texas for her gymnastics camp. Now, amidst the busy schedules and unwanted criticism, the celebratory post flaunts the ‘feel good’ nature.

The excitement was palpable for Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles ahead of her wedding to NFL defensive back Jonathan Owens. So much so, she may have gone a little overboard.

Biles and Owens celebrated their marriage in April 2023 at a courthouse and then again with family and friends a month later. As Biles celebrated her wedding anniversary over the weekend, she shared some photos of a party with her family.

One of which was with her mother, Nellie.

“Momma Biles is probably telling me to eat before I black out,” she captioned one of the photos on her Instagram Stories, according to People magazine.

Biles then wrote that advice “would have been good about 3 hrs before this” and admitted that she “did indeed black out.”

The four-time Olympic gold medalist and the NFL player met via the Raya app in March 2020 and then got engaged in February 2022.

Owens admitted in a podcast interview in December he didn’t know who Biles was at first.

“I didn’t know who she was at the time, but the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers so in my mind, I’m like, ‘OK, she got to be good,'” Owens admitted to “The Pivot”

“When she won the Olympics, I was in college, and we didn’t have NBC, we didn’t have Olympics channels, and we’re in camp. So I’m not paying attention to – I never would have had a moment to where I would have watched.”

Owens signed with the Chicago Bears in the offseason.

It’s likely Biles will be on the sidelines supporting him once the 2024 Olympics are finished.

Following her withdrawal from most events at the Tokyo Olympics due to “Twisties”, Simone Biles made a triumphant return that has only added to her repertoire. Her Tokyo journey sparked global conversations about the importance of prioritizing physical and mental health in elite sports. Following a hiatus of two years and two days, Biles made a comeback in August 2023, clinching her eighth all-around individual national title in a decade.

Subsequently, in October 2023, she secured her sixth individual world title in Antwerp, Belgium. As she now gears up for the Paris Olympics, the gymnastics community speculates on whether Biles would have pursued participation in Paris had the “twisties “episode in Tokyo not occurred.

Was retirement looming for Simone Biles after the Tokyo Olympics?

Simone Biles shattered records and defied expectations throughout her career. Becoming the first African-American woman to clinch the US gymnastics championship at just 16 years old in 2013 marked the beginning of her meteoric rise. Since then, Biles has amassed an astonishing collection of accolades, including seven Olympic medals–four of them gold–from her stellar performance at the Rio Olympics in 2016. When Simone Biles pulled out from the Tokyo Olympics at 24 due to the twisties, since then speculation arose about her retirement.

Age is a critical factor in gymnastics, where athletes often retire at this age. Had twisties not occurred, Biles, now 27, might not have pursued the Paris Olympics, potentially opting for retirement. Despite uncertainties, Biles’s acknowledgment of the challenges of aging in the sport resonates, prompting discussions about her future and leaving room for speculation, even among Reddit users, about what could have been if the twisties hadn’t intervened.

Insights from Reddit users on Biles’ Olympic trajectory

Amidst the multitude of speculations surrounding Simone Biles’ potential participation in the Paris Olympics, several Reddit user comments stood out for their insightful perspectives. One fan mused, reflecting on the timing and circumstances, “I don’t know tbh. I think if it had been in 2020 and no Covid probably no, but it being 2021 and less than three years away was probably less of a psychological ‘OMG I can’t face another quad’ barrier.” The fan suggested that the presence of Covid-19 in 2020 could have made participation less likely and this was the allusion needed to cement Biles’ possible return.

Another commenter recalled Biles’s pre-Tokyo sentiments about retirement, stating, “She said before Tokyo that she wanted to retire after Tokyo but was considering coming back for Paris in honor of her French coaches.” This observation underscores the significance of personal connections and professional relationships in shaping Biles’ potential Olympic journey.

One user highlighted the challenges Biles faced during the Tokyo quad, “During the Tokyo quad she was dealing with the aftermath of abuse and the usag scandals and wasn’t finding much joy in the sport, but it seems that she was happier after the quad ended. All of this probably made it easier for her to make the comeback she had previously considered.” They speculated that the post-Olympic period brought positive changes, such as new USAG leadership and personal milestones, which may have reignited Biles’ enthusiasm for competition.

It’s been a year since Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens’ Mexico wedding, and the Olympic gold medallist’s younger sister, Adria Biles, has sent her wishes to commemorate the couple’s joyous occasion. While the power couple legally got married on April 22, the date May 6 holds a special place as the duo exchanged vows in a close-knit celebration with the backdrop of the Pacific waters.

Due to their sporting commitments, the pair had to stay in various locations for a few months before their first anniversary. Despite all odds, Biles and Owens have stood strong beside each other, proving that they are soulmates – as rightly pointed out by the gymnast’s look-alike sister. Raising a toast to their love, Adria posted a picture from the Cabo ceremony, wanting to recreate the same moment once again.

recently sent a kind note wishing Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens a happy anniversary. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens celebrated their legal marriage anniversary on April 22, and now, on May 6, they are marking their . In 2023, theand NFL player, Jonathan Owens tied the knot in a Houston courtroom. They held an opulent second wedding in Mexico a few weeks later.

“Happy Anniversary to you guys!!🥂to forever w your soulmate,” Adria wrote on her Instagram story, adding: “(if y’all wanna run it back we can🤣).” Adria Biles also shared a snapshot of herself thanking the setting spray that helped her conceal her happy tears. Her other stories also were dedicated to Simone Biles, including one with the bridesmaids.

Adria Biles and her sister Simone share a unique bond as they have been there with each other through all the hardships they faced over the years. Thus, Adria never misses a moment to express her love and support for her sister’s accomplishments.

Deep sisterly ties between Adria and Simone Biles

Amid the mutual love for each other, Simone Biles and Adria Biles also share a similar passion for gymnastics. The two are also often confused for twins. Adria, who has always been motivated by her older sister, once recalled how the passion for the sport had crept into both at the same time. Recalling their amusement as kids, she stated, “My sister has always been fearless… When we were little kids, we’d stand on a railing on the second floor of our house, then jump off onto the couch down below on the first floor. She’d go first, and I’d follow. We were both gymnasts, so we were always trying things around the house. Nothing scared her.”

Not just a sister, Simone has been a motherly figure for Adria as she raised her from an early age. Before being adopted by their grandparents, Simone and Adria spent some time away in foster care. Recalling the time, she had said, “I wanted to take care of Adria obviously because she was the baby… I just felt like I needed to look out for her because if a family doesn’t look out for you, who’s going to?” The bond between the two sisters is truly an inspiration.

The Paris Olympics are shaping up to be a reunion of gymnastics titans, especially for Team USA. This year, three Olympic all-around gold medalists are vying for a spot on the roster to represent “the Stars and Stripes” in Paris. They are none other than Gabby Douglas, the 2012 Olympic all-around champion; Simone Biles, the 2016 Olympic all-around champion; and Sunisa Lee, the 2020 Olympic all-around champion.

With Suni and Gabby already making their season debuts, anticipation is now focused on the return of the most decorated gymnast ever, Simone Biles. In less than 12 days, Simone Biles is set to make her return for her fourth Olympic cycle. Alongside the mounting excitement, tensions are also rising as she prepares to come face-to-face with her former teammate after eight years, Gabby Douglas, with whom she shares a strained relationship.

Simone Biles and Gabby Douglass are set to battle each other

An announcement by USA Gymnastics on X revealed the list of senior and junior women set to compete at the 2024 Core Hydration Classic. In an exciting return of the titans, alongside fellow Olympians like Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and others, Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas are also registered to go head-to-head. It’s been eight years since the two veterans last faced off, their previous encounter being at the 2016 Tokyo Olympics in “The Final Five.”

What’s even more enthralling is that, for the first time in history, a gymnastics competition is expected to see three Olympic all-around gold medalists compete head-to-head. Gabby Douglas, Simone Biles, and Suni Lee will face off on May 17–18 in Hartford, Connecticut. As we reflect on the upcoming event and anticipate witnessing history unfold on American soil, let’s delve into the complex relationship between Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas, once close friends and teammates.

How did their relationship turn sour?

Before the 2016 Tokyo Olympics, Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas were renowned for their close friendship. Their bond was evident from the moment they became roommates at a training camp in 2014. Sharing shenanigans and late-night laughs, they formed a strong connection. Simone even described Gabby as an older sister and mentor, emphasizing their friendship both inside and outside the gym.

However, their relationship took a turn amid and after the 2016 Rio Olympics. While Simone Biles was making her Olympic debut, Gabby Douglas was the first African American to win the Olympic all-around title. When Simone clinched the gold medal in the individual women’s all-around competition, fans noticed peculiar behavior from Gabby. While the stadium erupted in cheers and her teammates, including Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian, stood up to applaud Simone, Gabby remained seated with a smile on her face.

This gesture drew backlash online, with many calling it “bad sportsmanship.” Gabby later addressed the criticism by congratulating her teammates Simone Biles and Aly Raisman on Twitter, saying, “Congratulations to my girls @Simone_Biles @Aly_Raisman for winning GOLD & SILVER in the ALL AROUND! I love you guyyyssss!” However, their relationship was further strained when the Larry Nassar scandal emerged. Simone Biles and Aly Raisman openly testified against Nassar for the abuse they endured.

On November 17, 2017, Aly Raisman took to Twitter to emphasize that attire doesn’t justify abuse, garnering support from Simone Biles. Shortly after, Gabby retweeted Aly’s post and wrote, “It is our responsibility as women to dress modestly and be classy. Dressing in a provocative/sexual way entices the wrong crowd.”

This statement caused significant controversy within the gymnastics community, especially with Simone Biles, who expressed her disappointment publicly. She shared a screenshot of Gabby’s deleted post and wrote, “shocks me that I’m seeing this but it doesn’t surprise me… honestly seeing this brings me to tears bc as your teammate I expected more from you & to support her. I support you Aly  & all the other women out there! STAY STRONG” Gabby attempted to clarify her stance, asserting her solidarity with victims of abuse, but the damage had been done.

She wrote, “I didn’t correctly word my reply & i am deeply sorry for coming off like i don’t stand alongside my teammates,” and even shared that regardless of what anyone wears, abuse is unacceptable and stated, “#metoo” on November 18, 2017. Since the situation unfolded, neither Simone Biles nor Gabby Douglas have publicly commented on the status of their relationship. As Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas are set to come face-to-face once again, the question arises: could they rekindle their once-close relationship? As we eagerly anticipate this moment, share your thoughts below!

For the past several months, the internet has been divided on supporting Jonathan Owens for his ‘catch’ comment on the Pivot podcast. The NFL safety repeatedly argued on that, claiming to be ‘real’ in expressing his thoughts. Even then, he has been ending on the receiving part throughout. The harshest attack has come from Simone Biles‘ fans, who went up to the extent of questioning his eligibility to be Simone’s husband. Such a hay fire led Simone Biles to defend her husband, Jonathan Owens. But now, JO has hinted to emulate the famous singer Chris Brown’s steps to put a lid on the attacks.

Through his IG handle, the Chicago Bears recruit recently shared a snippet of Chris Brown, where the singer was backing his deed to shut down the comment facility on his social media account. “It wasn’t healthy for me to go back and forth for anything… For anybody’s opinion”. JO shared the snippet with a cryptic caption that says: “People who want invest the least in you will always have the most to say” hinting that he may follow the same suit as Chris Brown has been doing for last several years. Previously Simone Biles also shut down the comment facility on her social media posts.

However, things did not stop as Simone Biles handpicked several derogatory comments that were hurled toward her husband. With a leucoplast tape in hand, the former Olympic gold medalist threatened the trolls to shut down their mouths. She took up such a strategy despite her manager’s forbidding as they feared degradation in Simone Biles’ aura because of getting into such dog whistles. However, with Jonathan’s latest action, it seems things have become no better.

All this while, the couple thoroughly protested against the unwanted entry from the attackers into their personal lives. Simone adorned her husband, calling him the ‘nicest guy’. On the other hand, Jonathan Owens described his wife as “so down to earth”. However, their latest actions say the couple is on the brink of losing their patience.

Simone Biles wants to put an end to the ongoing hustle

For the past several years, Simone Biles has been having a bittersweet experience with social media. In the past, she came under scanner for ‘unjust’ reasons. However, she preferred to counter all those attacks with her head kept high. In the podcast, Call Her Daddy, Simone described it at length. “It’s like praise everyone, get everything for everyone, and just like sacrifice my body at all costs. And you land on the mat and you’re thinking, what is Twitter saying? Yeah,” she said. This time as well, the 7x Olympic medalist didn’t prefer to leave the ground without registering her uncomfortableness.

She penned down, “X is a scary a** place” indicating all those who came after her for all this while questioning her choices. Now, when both Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are looking forward to opening their new sporting seasons, scrutiny of their personal lives will be the last thing they want.

Simone Biles is steadily making her comeback in gymnastics. Initially, the seven-time Olympic gymnast was poised to join the US women’s first national team camp of 2024 with a total of 26 participants. In a surprising turn of events, Simone didn’t perform at the Team USA camp. That sparked speculation and curiosity among her fans. Despite missing the USA Camp, a recent social media video of Simone Biles assures that she is ready to showcase her unparalleled talent on the world stage once again.

Recently, an Instagram handle posted a video of Simone Biles where they showcased some of the stunning shots of Simone performing in various competitions. The original post carried the caption, “Got to shoot one of the greats 📸🌟”. Reposting this video on her story Biles captioned, “almost that time again, 😅🤸🎉👀 t-2 weeks.” She further wrote, “I Could Vomit” along with the clip. Apparently, with that comment, she referred to the nervousness of starting the season. And that happens in two weeks, that is May 17th and 18th, when the U.S. Classic in Hartford, Connecticut raises its curtains.

Biles is set to make her Olympic season debut in the U.S. Classic in Hartford. This return to the mat will mark Biles’ first competition since taking herself out of some events at the Tokyo Games in 2021. USA Gymnastics announced the full lineup for the event on April 12 via Twitter. Simone Biles, the world’s most decorated gymnast, will be joined by 2021 Olympic teammates Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles. The participation of 2012 Olympic champion Gabby Douglas is expected to be confirmed later.

This event will serve as a crucial qualifier for the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships in May and the U.S. Olympic Trials in June, both of which will be essential steps in Biles’ quest to secure a spot on the 2024 U.S. Olympic team. She has been receiving support from her coach, Cecile Landi, as they focus on making her feel comfortable physically and mentally while training for upcoming events. In her recent comments, Biles has emphasized the importance of managing her physical and mental well-being in her training routine and opened up about her struggles.

Simone Biles’ journey to Paris 2024 and the challenges of life after the Olympics

The two-year break Simone took after the 2021 Tokoyo Olympics due to ‘twisties’ had to face a lot of struggles. During the training, she had twisties despite competing in the Tokyo Olympics just for the team’s sake. Simone had said in the popular podcast ‘Call Me Daddy,’  “I’m fighting demons right now, but I’m fighting for you guys.” She didn’t know what she would do at the event, so she prayed to god. After she got over with the performance, Simone wanted to run away from the people. Simone knew that was not her best performance. She shared in the podcast that her first thought after the performance was, “America hates me, the world is gonna hate me, and I could only see what they’re saying on Twitter right now.”

Simone was concerned about what the people of America would think about her after her flop performance. Through therapy, her coach, and her close ones’ support, she could come out of such trauma. Simone has been vocal about her coach, Laurent Landi, saying, “Whenever Laurent (Landi) last year, he told me I was competing. I was like, how can I compete? I’m not over the twisties yet. Because every time I went to bars or beam or floor, I was praying that I did the amount of twist I was supposed to.” At the 2023 World Championships in Belgium, Biles won gold medals in the team competition, all-around, balance beam, and floor exercise. She also won a silver medal in the vault final. With these wins, Biles became the most decorated gymnast in world and Olympic history, surpassing the previous record of 33 career medals held by Vitaly Scherbo. Surely, the Paris Olympics 2024 will add more notches on her bedpost.

Both Simone Biles and LSU’s Konnor McClain found unwavering support and guidance from their coaches during their potentially career-ending gymnastics scare. Simone Biles experienced the twisties in the 2020 Tokyo Games. Amid her recovery journey and beyond, she has been vocal about her coach Laurent Landi helping her overcome it.

For Konnor McClain, while her transition to collegiate gymnastics at LSU has been nothing short of remarkable, she had a rocky way to the top marred by a growth spurt. Her LSU collegiate coach Jay Clark has been a rock by her side through these times. These mentors played a pivotal role in preserving their hopes for the Paris Olympics 2024, turning their struggles into stories of success.

Konnor McClain and Simone Biles turn to their coaches during tough times

In an interview with NBC after LSU’s NCAA win, Konnor McClain spoke about her struggles with the full-out dismount off the uneven bars back routine that had been troubling her since an unexpected growth spurt. “I lost it and I just could not get it back,” McClain told NBC. “I got really scared of it. Once I came to school Jay (coach) was like, ‘We’re learning a dismount. That’s the first thing we’re going to do.’ After two weeks of going into the pit, I got my dismount!” McClain competed every weekend for three months, nearly triple what elite gymnasts do in a year. This boosted her confidence and reignited her joy in competing.
