Simone Biles, one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, expressed her gratitude after being nominated for the Laureus World Comeback of the Year 2024 for her sensational 2023 season.

In 2023, Biles returned to the competitive sport in the U.S. Classic 2023, two years after her appearance at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in 2021, where she claimed the all-around, balance beam, and floor exercise titles, and collected the bronze in the uneven bars.

In the U.S. National Championships 2023, Biles surpassed the record of Al Jochim of seven national titles by claiming her eighth all-around national title. Additionally, she bagged the gold medals on balance beam, floor exercise, and a bronze in the bars.

This also made her the oldest woman to claim the title at 26 years and 166 days, breaking Linda Metheny Mulvihill (24 years and 100 days) in 1971.

On her comeback, Simone Biles delivered a spectacular performance at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2023 by clinching four gold medals in the team, all-around, balance beam, floor exercise, and a silver on vault.

Her sixth gold medal in the floor exercise event made her the first gymnast ever to achieve such an accomplishment on a single apparatus in the World Championships’ history.

After being nominated for the prestigious awards, the four-time Olympic champion, Simone Biles took to her Instagram (IG) account to share her emotions, stating:

Olympic champion Simone Biles and her husband, Jonathan Owens, took a trip to Hawaii to attend the wedding of Carolina Panthers’ linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill and his fiancee Keely Amelia Carteret.

Biles shared photos on her Instagram page, including one of her in a two-toned bikini posing against a surfboard.

She also shared a photo of the pool at the resort where they are staying and a shadow of her and the Green Bay Packers safety on the beach.

Grugier-Hill and Owens were teammates on the Houston Texans in the 2021-22 NFL season.

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles made a remarkable comeback into the world of gymnastics last year. Simone Biles announced her comeback in June 2023 and went on to win her eighth individual all-around at the U.S. Championships in August.

After making her comeback into competitive sports after her hiatus due to the twisties, the gymnastics prodigy has been unstoppable. She also showcased an incredible performance at Antwerp in October, claiming her sixth World Championship title. For her impressive comeback, the GOAT of gymnastics has been nominated for the prestigious 2024 Laureus World Sports Awards.

Biles received a nomination under the Comeback of the Year category after winning four gold medals and one silver at October’s world championships following her break from the 2020 Tokyo Games. Simone was, however, nominated for the same category back in 2022, but the winner was British skateboarder Sky Brown.

Upon receiving another nomination for this award, the gymnastics legend could not keep her calm and shared a heartfelt note on her recent Instagram story. She reshared the Laureus Sports post on her story and wrote a beautiful caption alongside it, thanking everyone.

In her following story, she also shared the list of nominees who have been nominated in the comeback category along with her and captioned it, “the comeback class.”

The comeback category nominees apart from Simone Biles are Sébastien Haller (Côte d’Ivoire, Football), Katarina Johnson-Thompson (Great Britain, Athletics), Siya Kolisi (South Africa, Rugby Union), Jamal Murray (Canada, Basketball), and Marketa Vondrousova (Czechia, Tennis).

After seeing her name nominated for the prestigious award, Biles is absolutely over the moon. She would hope to win the award after putting on a spectacular performance since her comeback. Apart from this, Biles recently won The Associated Press’ Female Athlete of the Year award.

Simone Biles proves she’s the GOAT by winning the AP Female Athlete of the Year Award

Simone Biles is undoubtedly one of the most decorated US gymnasts of all time. Her incredible performances paved the way for many historic accomplishments. Last year, Biles was awarded the Associate Press Female Athlete of the Year for the third time. She is only the sixth athlete to win the award three times.

The award honors female and male athletes, both professional and amateur, for their prowess and excellence in the field every year. Biles’s comeback to the field awaited a lot of anticipation and excitement, and the icon didn’t disappoint.

On her second return, she bagged her record eighth U.S. national championship and a sixth world all-around gold. For her impressive comeback, she has now been nominated for the Laureus Sports Awards.

Simone Biles took a much-needed vacation with her NFL husband, Jonathan Owens, to Oahu, Hawaii, following his final game of the football season, and she has the bikini photos to prove it.

On Sunday the seven-time Olympic gold medalist took to Instagram to share a couple of scenes from the trip with her 7 million followers. In the sultry snapshots, the gymnast wore a butter yellow terrycloth string bikini and a straw cowboy hat in true yeehaw-agenda fashion. She further accessorized the look with a silver belly ring and a long pendant necklace with a bedazzled heart.

“Dress code: bikini,” she captioned the post.

The Hawaii trip comes amid her exciting return to training and competition at the end of last year. Biles told Sports Illustrated she decided to go “full force” after marrying the Green Bay Packers defensive back in the hope of potentially representing the US at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Biles had previously pulled out of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics due to a bout of the twisties, a mental block that impedes your ability to locate your body in space.

Thankfully, Simone Biles seems to be finding time to rest her body in between training sessions. “Point me to the nearest realtor,” Biles captioned another stunning vacation photo presumably taken by her husband.

Simone Biles is modeling some sizzling looks on vacation!

On Sunday, the Olympic gold medalist posted a series of bikini snaps as she posed in a cowboy hat while on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii, with husband Jonathan Owens.

In the first photo, Biles sat perched on a sun lounger outdoors at a resort as she wore a light-yellow textured bikini, and a cowboy hat covering her face. She was seen in a follow-up snap sitting up as she held the hat over her face once again. Sun loungers could be seen in the background, lined along a grassy lawn surrounded by palm trees.

The champion gymnast, 26, accessorized with a silver navel ring and an embellished heart pendant necklace, sporting white nail polish.

“Dress code: bikini,” Biles wrote in the caption.

Biles revealed on Thursday that she and her NFL-player husband, 28, had set off on vacation together in a post on Instagram.

“Prepare to be sick of me,” she jokingly warned her 7.1 million followers at the time as she posted photos of her and Owens on their plane journey.

Since arriving in Oahu, it appears Biles has fallen in love with the destination, as she suggested in an earlier post shared over the weekend her plans of moving there.

“Point me to the nearest realtor,” Biles wrote in the caption as she posted photos of herself twirling on a grassy hill, overlooking a nearby beach.

“Man 😍😍😍🔥🔥 Beautiful baby,” Owens wrote in response to his wife in the comment section.

Biles’ vacation with Owens comes after the pair paid loving tributes to each other in honor of the recent Valentine’s Day holiday.

“Every day feels like valentines day with you 🤭,” Biles wrote in a message on Instagram as she posted a black-and-white photo with her husband.

“I love you so much baby ❤️🤞🏽,” the Green Bay Packers player commented back, going on to call Biles his “best friend” in his own sweet message to her.

“You’re my rock, I feel like i can accomplish anything as long as i have you by my side. So excited to see where life takes us, I love you so much baby ❤️❤️❤️,” Owens wrote.

The fight for a place on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team is on inside the Kentucky International Convention Center, and it’s a close contest between the best of America. With over 30 gymnasts in contention, the first three rotations saw breathtaking competition between Trinity Thomas, Skye Blakely, and Kayla Dicello. But the excitement touched heights when Simone Biles started to cheer behind the young generation.

Biles is missing the ongoing Winter Cup 2024 because she has already qualified for the national team. However, she has all her eyes glued to the screens as the younger generation prepares at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Simone Biles impressed with gymnasts at Winter Cup 2024

It seems Simone Biles is all eyes on the ongoing Winter Cup as women gymnasts fight it out for a place in the national team. The Olympic Medalist took to X to comment on the performance of the gymnasts so far, and she was highly impressed. “The girls are not playing around this year”, she wrote as Kayla Dicello and Trinity Thomas aim for Olympic berths while Suni Lee had a disappointing comeback.

Lee made a return, but she wouldn’t be satisfied after falling twice on the uneven bars. The 2020 All-around champion fell right after she started her routine and as she regained the momentum back, Lee lost her grip on the bars once again. But the 20-year-old restarted once again and made a spectacular landing to take home 11.8 points. She didn’t perform the full-twisting Jaeger as well but will participate next on the balance beam. While she looks to find a bit of form, and a little luck, the likes of Thomas and DiCello are on absolute fire at the moment.

Trinity Thomas, Skye Blakely, and Kayla Dicello lead the Winter Cup standings

Thomas led the first rotation with a stellar performance to take the first position on 14.050 points. The World Medalist was followed by an equal score from DiCello, who soon raced with the lead in the second rotation. The 2023 Pan American champion topped the standings in the 2nd and 3rd rotations as well and is highly likely to retain the standing after the fourth rotation as well.

She stands on 42.550 while Skye Blakely ranks 2nd for now on 40.450 points. Thomas, who is making her first elite appearance since 2019, couldn’t maintain her momentum after the first rotation and ranks 5th on 40.050 points. While it doesn’t look like anyone will be able to overtake DiCello, anything can happen in the sport. So, keep hanging, just like Simone Biles is.

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens recently expressed his admiration towards the former’s pictures from their recent getaway.

Biles and Owens recently embarked on a swift escape to Hawaii. The couple is attending the wedding of American football linebacker, Kamu Grugier-Hill, who is getting married to Keely Amelia Cartrett, a former University of Georgia women’s soccer player.

The beloved American gymnast shared a few glimpses, of her exotic getaway, with her fans. She was seen donning a white bikini with a black cover-up dress. She paired the outfit with her signature necklace with an Owens pendant. The gymnast enhanced her look with golden raindrop jewelry.

The pictures shared by her show the most admired gymnast absorbing the breathtaking beach atmosphere of Hawaii amidst the island’s stunning beauty. Lightheartedly hinting at her desire to prolong her stay at the scenic island, the gymnast captioned the post:

In awe of her beauty, Owens, the Green Bay Packer’s strong safety, couldn’t control his admiration and commented:

Artistic gymnastics stalwart Simone Biles recently added several new images that have dropped on the internet like a bombshell. The 23x Olympic gold medalist revealed a bold avatar of herself right after she shared that she was on a romantic vacation with Jonathan Owens.

While her latest Instagram pictures carry a lot of oomph, the caption she posted has generated a new wave of curiosity among her fans. Simone Biles wrote, “Point me to the nearest realtor” alongside her stunning images with the tropical landscape of Hawaii in the background.

Notably, the gymnastics GOAT is also busy with the development and construction work of her new house in Texas. The house is a water-facing abode and a dream house for both Simone Biles and Johnathan Ownes. However, it seems that the beautiful environment of the Hawaiian islands has wowed the artistic gymnast.

The couple had initially kept the destination of their secret vacation getaway a secret. But later, Simone Biles and Jonathan Ownes unveiled that their lovely shenanigans were taking place in O’ahu, Hawaii. While they could have kept the location anonymous for longer, Biles’ desire to see a realtor would have blown the cover anyway. Moreover, their latest pictures at a wedding celebration would have also dispelled the mystery.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens enjoying a friend’s wedding

Simone Biles recently shared an Instagram story showcasing a wedding invitation card of her close friends, Keely Amelia Cartrett, and her fiancé, Kamu Grugier-Hill. Thus, what initially looked like a random feel-good vacation was later revealed to be a wedding ceremony. Captioning the story, Biles wrote, “Let’s get y’all married”. She was also seen enjoying herself with the bride-to-be with some alcohol shots.

A thrilled Simone Biles captioned this story update, “Shot o’ clock baby.” In addition, her husband, Jonathan Owens, proudly uploaded a photo of the stunning Biles on his Instagram story. Biles is seen in the image wearing a black knitted outfit and clutching a glass of margarita. Notably, the adorable couple will also be celebrating their wedding anniversary in another two months.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens exchanged wedding vows on 22 April 2023. While their fans can vouch that they have been married for an eternity, it is hard to believe that the romantic duo hasn’t even completed a year. But, will the duo buy themselves a vacation home before completing the one-year mark? Pour down your thoughts in the comments section.

Simone Biles won’t be on the floor when the Olympic season officially kicks off for the U.S. women.

More than 30 women will compete Saturday at Winter Cup, the first meet of this all-important season. That Biles won’t be among them isn’t a surprise, however. She traditionally begins her season at the U.S. Classic, which is later in the spring.

Besides, Biles doesn’t need to do Winter Cup, which many women are using to qualify for the U.S. championships in May. She’s already qualified as a member of last year’s team for the world championships, where she won, well, everything.

Biles led the U.S. women to the team gold before winning her sixth all-around title. She also won gold on balance beam and floor exercise and a silver on vault. The five medals gave her 37 at the world championships and Olympics, making her the most-decorated gymnast of all time, male or female.

Biles and her husband, Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, are actually on vacation this weekend, based on their Instagram posts. But expect to see her at Classic, which is May 17-19 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are finally in vacation mode. After a demanding 2023 season for both athletes, the NFL hunk and gymnastics queen are eager to unwind and soak up some vitamin sea. Just days ago, Simone took to her Instagram stories and teased their upcoming escape, sharing a snapshot of her husband Jonathan leisurely walking along a beach path surrounded by palm trees.

Her caption read, “Ready to go on vacation again.” Fast forward to today, and the couple has made their grand escape to a mysterious location. However, Mr. Owens couldn’t resist dropping a tantalizing hint for their eager fans.

Where are Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens vacationing?

Jonathan Owens took to Instagram stories recently and shared a major hint on the couple’s location of their mysterious tropical getaway. Mr. Owens recorded a short snippet of his view from their hotel. The video revealed a breathtaking view from their oceanfront bungalow, with the pristine ocean stretching out before them and lush trees flanking the sides.

The layout of the beach hinted is maybe a slice of paradise nestled in Hawaii. The place sits on acres of lush land with miles of beautiful beachfront for visitors to explore. As the couple embarked on the bliss of their getaway, Simone Biles also provided glimpses into their exciting trip.

Simone’ travel escapade

In her Instagram stories, Simone Biles shared a series of snaps about the exciting trip. She first uploaded an image from an airplane window that showed the beautiful island peeking out from beneath the clouds, surrounded by the vast ocean. Simone Biles added heart-eye emojis and the hushing emoji, indicating the mystery behind the vacation. In a subsequent airplane update, she shared a close-up of her travel partner Jonathan Owens beside her, and she wrote, “Prepare to be sick of me.” The vacation peeks did not end there.

The next slide showed their travel route and the auspicious time, with Simone highlighting the number “444” with a star emoji, considering it to be lucky. Following this, Simone Biles also shared a picture of her view from the resort villa, mirroring Jonathan Owens’ earlier glimpse. As the Winter Cup unfolds during their getaway, fans will undoubtedly miss Simone Biles’ presence. However, they eagerly anticipate more glimpses of this well-deserved vacation.
