If someone mentions the sport of gymnastics, there will always be a mention of Simone Biles. The “GOAT” of gymnastics, as fans have called her, has been a dominant force. Since her senior debut in 2013, she has made history. Clinching victory after victory, year after year, she quickly climbed to the top and proved her mettle. At the recent World Championships, despite being out of competition for two years, the seven-time Olympic medalist had nothing left to prove. Yet she came back and did just that, defying expectations.

In the all-around finals of the competition, after Biles had just clinched her sixth title, surpassing Rebeca Andrade and Shilese Jones, a moment stood out on the podium. When the USA national anthem played, Biles, standing in the number one position, started tearing up. She wiped her tears and tried hard to keep them from rolling down her cheeks. Seeing the champion get emotional, fans everywhere were moved. However, she later revealed, in a twist, the true reason behind her tears. And now, once more, Biles opened up about the moment and proved why she is a living legend.

Simone Biles opens up about an injury in Antwerp

Simone Biles

In an interview with TODAY posted on their official X account, Biles shared her candid thoughts with hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, live from Spring, Texas.  Then the interviewers brought up the teary moment in Antwerp, which, at the time, Biles had brushed off, saying there was something in her eye. However, this time, she revealed the truth about what actually happened, saying, “I definitely was emotional, but not to the point of tearing up. But actually, after that night, we had drug testing and all of these things, and I ended up with only one set of eyelashes. And I looked pretty crazy at the end of the night. But the doctors looked at my eye, and somehow I had cut my eye”.

She continued saying, “Because I think since the bars are brand new, sometimes they flake off and have been falling in our eyes. So I had a cut on my eye, actually.” Biles and the interviewers also discussed the World Championships and also spoke in length about her fifth element, “Biles II.” Despite this injury, Biles dominated that day and the days that followed as well.

Making history despite hurting herself

Biles made history in Belgium winning 5 medals 4 of which were gold. In the interview, she also spoke about how, ten years ago, in 2013, she had her first element named after her, and now in 2023 she has her fifth element named “Biles II.” Biles also became the most decorated gymnast ever, male or female

All these victories came despite her eye injury, which caused her to tear up on the podium and could have even marred her performance. Biles took Antwerp by storm, not only making America proud once more but proving she was, in fact, a living legend.

Simone Biles was recently pitched a bright idea, and it involves one of the most talked about new couples of the season.

People have, apparently, set their sights on a link-up between the Olympic gold medalist and Taylor Swift, being that now, the two have something in common. Biles’ husband is Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, while the “Cruel Summer” singer has been exploring a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce.

That said, Biles agreed to the idea that a photo op featuring them both would be “really cute”—a suggestion befittingly put out into the universe by Today show anchor Hoda Kotb ahead of the two NFL teams’ face-off on Dec. 3.

The legendary gymnast visited the morning broadcast via video call on Thursday, Oct. 19, where she noted that she will, indeed, be there at the game to support her hubby. It became a topic of discussion after Kotb noticed a necklace she was wearing showcasing her new last name: “Owens.”

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” Biles said of Owens during the interview, adding, “My season just ended, so I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”

That’s when the broadcast journalist found it the perfect time to bring up her idea: “I’d like to see you and Taylor [Swift]. It’d be really cute; it’d be a nice photo op.”

After Biles confirmed she’d be in attendance, Kotb doubled down on the suggestion. “Let’s just try to have a moment there if we can, okay?” she said, to which the legendary gymnast nodded and simply agreed, “Yes, okay

Though the “Bad Blood” songstress has already been present at three of Kelce’s games over the past few weeks, she’s headed back on the road for the International leg of her Eras Tour beginning on Nov. 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

As of now, Swift doesn’t have a scheduled tour date for Dec. 3 when the Chiefs play the Packers, so fans will just have to wait and see if a connection with the most decorated gymnast in history comes to fruition.

Former DWTS host Tom Bergeron recently admitted his fault for passing a remark at Simone Biles in 2017. The 68-year-old explained his intention behind commenting on the gymnast after her performance and how he regretted it a minute later.

In 2017, Simone Biles participated in the 24th season of the celebrity dance reality show, Dancing With The Stars. In one of the episodes, the four-time gold medallist delivered a Paso Doble performance with her dancing partner, Sasha Farber. However, her dance routine did not receive good feedback from the judges.

While judges Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman were extremely critical of her performance, judge Carrie Ann Inaba was appreciative of the gymnast’s efforts.

However, Simone Biles was not at all smiling while listening to any of the judges’ comments including Carrie Ann Inaba. This made Bergeron pass a remark on Biles saying:

Refusing to step back, the then 20-year-old gymnast retorted at the host replying,

Remembering that episode, Bergeron explained his reason for passing such a comment on the gymnast in his recent interaction on Cheryl Burke’s “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast.

He shared that while Simone Biles was receiving feedback from the judge, she was not smiling at all. This was one of the DWTS producers saying, “‘Wow, she’s not even smiling at Carrie Ann’s compliments,’” which was heard by Tom Bergeron. He said on the podcast:

However, remembering Biles’s hard-hitting reply, Bergeron told in the podcast,

Simone Biles, the queen of gymnastics, has had a stellar 2023. Throughout this journey, she has shown grace and elegance, both in her performance and style.  Biles graced the gymnastics mat, in her sparkling leotards, with her hair neatly styled and makeup always on point. However, beyond her dominance on the floor, the sport’s queen has now ventured into the digital world and marked her presence by becoming a beauty vlogger.

America’s Favorite Video Today

She often candidly shares insights into her training through gym vlogs, and training videos with her teammates, giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes. With her return to the national and international stages, Biles also actively posted “Get Ready With Me” (GRWM) videos to TikTok, showcasing her remarkable makeup skills and sharing the process behind the elegant looks we see of gymnasts on the mat. These vlogs have garnered her millions of views and likes. However, in a recent update, Biles the “beauty guru” was bested by technology.

Simone Biles bested by technology

In a recent Instagram Threads post, Biles expressed her frustration. She wrote, “I did a GRWM the morning of Vault & Bar finals, and I went to edit it, and the sound is gone… JUST GONE… 🤬🤬🤬.” This is the same day when Biles was surpassed by Rebeca Andrade of Brazil in the Vault finals at the World Gymnastics Championships. Despite a fall, she still managed to secure a silver medal but sadly did not make it to the podium for Uneven Bars.

On that same day, Biles looked stunning in a sparkly red leotard. Unfortunately, as fans eagerly await the video of her getting ready for this look, it seems that this technological struggle might cost them a glimpse behind the scenes. On her Threads post fans also stepped in to help and offered suggestions, such as “Do a voiceover,” so that she could still provide the video with her own take on the process. This anticipated video could be a valuable addition to Biles’ series of beauty vlogs

Biles the gymnastics beauty guru

Simone Biles

Simone Biles has often taken her fans into her world through candid videos recorded in hotel bathrooms or her hotel rooms this year. It began when she shared a video on Day 2 of the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships with her best friend and fellow teammate Zoe Miller. They grooved to hip-hop music and shared fun moments behind the camera, showing their makeup routines. Biles showcased her step-by-step makeup process, from applying primer to foundation to highlighting and contouring, with Miller closely following her lead.

Another beauty vlog came after the 2023 Worlds and Pan Am Games Selection Camp, once again with her best friend, Zoe Miller where the two joked and playfully showed the bond they share. Then weeks later Biles also shared a video directly from Antwerp, Belgium ahead of podium training at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. In the video, Biles candidly expressed her nervousness and captioned it as “a whole bunch of word vomit because of nerves 🫠.” She opened up about her anxieties and how her husband, Jonathan Owens, helped ease her fears and nerves despite the miles between them.

Biles has now returned from Antwerp as the most decorated gymnast ever, with four gold medals and one silver medal. Despite her confession fans hold out hope that videos like the one she lost the sound for will still be posted, giving them a glimpse behind the scenes of these iconic moments in Belgium.

Simone Biles and her pet dogs Lilo and Rambo were recently featured in pet nutrition brand Nulo’s campaign “Fuel Incredible.” By collaborating with the brand, the legendary gymnast shared that it was vital for pet parents to take care of the nutrition of their pets just like themselves.

Simone Biles, a four-time Olympic gold medallist, is a devoted dog lover. She welcomed Lilo into her life in 2017, followed by Rambo in 2020. In several interviews, the legendary gymnast has expressed her strong attachment to her pets. For Biles, Lilo and Rambo are her pillars of support during life’s highs and lows.

Apart from sharing a great bond with her pet dogs, Biles also cares for their nutrition. Recently, she collaborated with Nulo to promote its high-protein nutrition food for pets. Nevertheless, her dogs were also featured in the “Fuel Incredible” campaign encouraging pet parents to feed the right foods to their fur babies.

Moreover, at the event of her collaboration with Nulo, Simone Biles told Brand Innovators,

Biles stated that she was thankful to Nulo for its high-protein food that consists of lamb, turkey, and salmon. Moreover, as a cherry on top, her fur babies love its taste.

Simone Biles dominated the Sportpaleis in Belgium. However, her journey to Antwerp was about more than just gymnastics medals. She had the time of her life, surrounded by a like-minded team. The Team USA gymnastics women ensured their trip to the diamond capital consisted not only of hard work but also of letting their hair down and enjoying the vibrant city. Stories and highlights uploaded by each of them showed their outings and enjoying the best the city had to offer.

Biles even took to Instagram to share the little moments that were special to her in a photo dump on her profile. She posted pictures from Belgian pancakes to pizza, even the chalk holder, with empowering messages like “You’re awesome” and “And you’re doing great.” She also shared moments of joy with group photos of her teammates and a shot with the youngest member, Joscelyn Roberson, at Antwerp’s iconic City Hall and the Brabo monument. Amidst these fun moments, a cryptic message from the queen had emerged.

Hidden in the carousel was a picture that wasn’t a place or a thing, but rather a message. Biles shared a quote with a pink background that read, “reminder: It’s gonna be okay.” This image in slide 6 stood out because, amid all the fun, frolic, and hard work, it served as a reminder not only to Biles but also to her followers

Biles had to go through so much to get to where she is. Her return to Antwerp came after a two-year break, a hiatus caused by the multitude of challenges she faced in 2021, from twisties to mental health issues. And her return to the world stage was also accompanied by its fair share of challenges, including bouts of anxiety.

Simone Biles

Admitting her nervousness in Belgium

Biles herself admitted to the anxiety she faced in Antwerp. She took to TikTok and shared a “Get Ready With Me” video in which she opened up about her challenges. She even said, “I was so nervous last night and so anxious, and I don’t know why. I guess it’s normal. It means you’re prepared.” She also shared how her husband, Jonathan Owens, helped her realize this despite being far away.

The hidden message from Biles was proof that, through all the moments, she needed reassurance that indeed, everything would be alright. After all, the support she received and these reminders helped her clinch five medals at Antwerp, four of which were gold. Biles’ message resonated with her fans as well

One fan commented on her post, saying, “I could use that reminder in picture 6 every day. My anxiety is terrible.” Another said, “Thank you for showing the world what is possible when you put your mental health first.” Biles not only helped herself; she further shared the message with all that, indeed, “It’s going to be okay.”

Simone Biles, fresh after making history in the gymnastics World Championships, and her husband, Jonathan Owens, are on the brink of realizing their dream of moving into a brand-new marital home in Texas.

From the moment they stood on the bare plot of land, they’ve taken their fans and followers on an exciting journey through the construction of their dream home via social media.

Biles recently took to Instagram to offer a glimpse of the ongoing construction of their future Texas abode.

The tour she shared started with an image of a section of the home’s facade, wrapped in protective house coverings.

She couldn’t contain her excitement as she captioned it, “Tiles are in!!!!!!!”

In a series of photos posted to Biles’ Instagram Story, she gave her followers an update on their home’s construction.

The gymnast then revealed that the “frames for the sliding doors are in,” giving us a glimpse of the interior with bare wooden beams taking shape.

Continuing the tour, Simone playfully wrote, “Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones that are in my nightmares lmao.”

The photo showed a door frame and high ceilings taking shape, giving a tantalizing hint of the home’s grandeur.

Biles’ forever home has a theater and game room

Simone Biles and Green Bay Packers player Jonathan Owens started teasing their plans to build a house together back in September.

Biles posted a carousel of photos with the caption, “Loading… .” Among the photos was an image of the couple holding hands at the construction site, with another shot of Owens exploring the empty hallways of their soon-to-be pad.

This summer, Biles provided viewers with a tour of the abode’s upper level.

This area will include a bedroom, bathroom, a theater, and a game room complete with a wet bar.

She also showcased the making of covered and uncovered upper-level balconies, each offering sweeping views of the tranquil body of water below.

Simone Biles and husband Jonathan Owens are one step closer to finishing their dream home!

In a series of photos posted to Biles’ Instagram Story on Monday, the olympic gymnast gave her followers an update on the construction of her new Texas home that she’ll share with her husband.

The first snap revealed the unfinished exterior of her abode that was still covered in plaster and surrounded by leveled dirt. “Tiles are in,” she captioned the photo.

Biles was excited to share that the “frames for the sliding doors are in,” in a snap that unveiled more of the bare wooden beams in the interior space.

Another image revealed a clear shot of Biles’ “favorite view” that she’ll be able to enjoy with Owens once their home is complete. The house appears to sit directly beside a body of water and is surrounded by lush greenery.

Continuing the tour, the newlywed wrote, “Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones that are in my nightmares lmao,” beside a photo that showed a door frame and high ceilings starting to take shape.

The gymnast, 26, and Green Bay Packers player, 28, first teased they were building a house together in September when Biles posted a carousel of photos captioned, “Loading… 🏠🤍🛠.”

The post included a photo of the pair holding hands at the construction site along with a shot of Owens walking through the empty hallways of his soon-to-be pad.

Biles and Owens legally married at the 1910 Harris County Courthouse in Houston in April, just one month before tying the knot again in an elaborate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The destination wedding was attended by 140 guests and Biles donned four different dresses throughout her big day

In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE ahead of the wedding, Biles revealed she was “actually very surprised” when Owens proposed to her in Feb. 2022, explaining, “I didn’t know it was coming. He’s very good at secrets.”

“I started shaking really bad because then I was like, ‘Wait, hold up. What if he proposes?’ But I didn’t want to get my hopes up … and then he did it,” she continued. “And I was just like, I kind of had a feeling, but I wasn’t sure.”

Simone Biles recently cemented her status as the most accomplished gymnast of all time. She returned to the mats after a two-year hiatus and broke the records held by Larisa Latynina and Vitaly Scherbo while leading the U.S. women’s team in Antwerp. Screams of excitement met Biles as she entered Sportspaleis, marking the beginning of her victorious evening. Stepping on the podium in five of six events, she said, “It still proves to myself and other people that I can do it.”

Biles was back in the city of Belgium after a decade, as a seasoned veteran she also focused on having fun. With the numerous attractions that enthralled visitors, Biles recently shared one of her own delights.

Simone Biles reminisces this one thing about World Championship 2023

Simone Biles

The 26-year-old debuted the Yurchenko double pike on Worlds opening day following three golds at the 2023 US Gymnastics Championships. Going by the rotation standings, Simone was the only promising podium top finisher despite the narrow margins. Biles won 5 medals including four golds that boosted her Worlds alloy collection to 27! However, just recently she revealed how she wasn’t missing any of this. Biles shared a fun update on her Twitter that read, “still dreaming about the waffles from belgium.”

Biles is accustomed to high expectations as the best gymnast in the United States. With the rigorous training regimens for elite athletes, they must follow stringent diet programs. She obediently follows her coach’s recommendations and controls her urges in order to maintain her active lifestyle. Although, waffles and Belgian chocolate are two of Simone’s favorite sweet pleasures. Allowed to enjoy things or even when not, sometimes she breaks this rule and gives in to her whims.

However, in response to a question on her best non-gymnastics memory from Belgium, Biles went back to her early years and the food restrictions. She said, “Back then, it was a little bit more strict. So we weren’t allowed to eat that stuff.” At 16, she showed immense self-control being a fresh face on the global mats although taking four medals. She’s back and stronger than ever, defying all limitations and sometimes even taking cheat breaks! When asked what was something she truly keeps close to her heart, her answer delighted even the Antwerp host.

What memory does Simone Biles cherish from Worlds?

Ahead of her sixth appearance at Worlds venue in Antwerp, Belgium, Biles engaged in a chat with @Antwerp2023. Biles thought back on her favorite non-gymnastic parts of Antwerp. She really treasures a pair of earrings that her mother, Nellie Biles gave her after her success in the competition back in 2013. The earrings, set with expensive diamonds, were purchased in Antwerp, which is known as the world’s center for the diamond trade.

This heartwarming discovery highlights her emotional connection to the city outside of the sports world and gives her relationship with it a more intimate feel. The emcee concurs, calling it a fascinating and entertaining story that highlights the city’s reputation for fine gems. The Instagram photo emphasizes Antwerp’s diverse appeal and shows that Biles’ admiration goes beyond the mouthwatering cuisine the city is known for
