In a recent Instagram story, Jonathan Owens, the endearing husband of Simone Biles, shared a message of redemption with his fans. He shared a two-image carousel post captured at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh from the Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game. In the image, Owens was seen walking with his teammates, Corey Ballentine and Zach Tom, with their backs facing toward the camera. And the second slide captured Owens in action mid-field.

He wrote in the caption of his post, penning the lyrics to the famous song “Intercepted” by Larry June, which read, “Hard times, we prevailed, spent years manifestin… Another day, another lesson took it all as a blessin”.  Unfortunately for Owens and his teammates, the Packers were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 19-23 showdown. This post by Owens comes just a day after he captured hearts with a noble gesture that made Biles, the Olympic legend, proud of her man.

In a recent post on X Through the Jonathan Owens Foundation, Owens collaborated with the Green Bay Packers to make the upcoming Thanksgiving festival special for many. The Green Bay Packers posted a series of images of Owens distributing turkeys and signing jerseys for many of his fans. The Packers handle wrote in the caption of the post, “@jjowens_3 hosted the Jonathan Owens Foundation’s second annual Turkey Giveaway”.

For his foundation’s second annual turkey giveaway, Owens and the Packers partnered with Festival Foods and the Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay to bring holiday cheer to countless families. “Feels amazing being able to bless families and provide lifelong memories for the kids,” shared the NFL hunk, and he also said, “It’s always been important to me to give back, especially during the holidays.”

Simone Biles, proud of her husband, re-shared the post on her platform as she supported her man from miles away. As Biles has previously been the perfect cheerleader for her fans, they eagerly anticipate the reunion of the dynamic duo and can’t wait for the two to reunite soon and the Packers’ redemption in upcoming matches.

Then the interview took a surprising twist when Ownes was asked if the couple works out together, to which he replied, “Um, no. I mean, she’s come to one of my workouts before, and I think I’ve done one of hers, and she said she could do mine a lot easier than I could do hers, which she could do, like the pull-ups, really easy”.

He continued saying, “That was natural to her. But I stay away from there, so, yeah, they have that”. This revelation showcased Simone’s incredible athleticism, bridging the gap between the grace of gymnastics and the rugged intensity of the NFL. This revelation also came months after Biles had openly challenged her husband.

How has Biles openly challenged her husband?

Months ago, Laureus and Team USA posted an interview with Simone Biles. In the Q&A, Biles was asked to assign different gymnastics apparatus to different renowned athletes. When it came to the vault, she assigned her husband-to-be, Jonathan Owens, who is an NFL player.  She said with a cheeky smile on her face, “So I think on vault I would love to see my fiancé (husband) NFL player Jonathan Owens because he just swears he could do it”.

Biles, the seven-time Olympian with an impressive repertoire, has not one but five elements to her name on the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique’s (FIG) Code of Points. And she has two elements in vault alone, namely the “Biles,” which she earned at the 2018 World Championships. And “Biles II,” which she recently earned at the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.
