Simone Biles celebrated her husband Jonathan Owens’ first NFL touchdown with a sweet social media post on Thanksgiving Day. Ultimately, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Detroit Lions 29-22. According to the 28-year-old safety, it was his first touchdown since high school, which made it even more special.

“I didn’t believe it, it didn’t feel like real life at first,” Owens said. “It was my first time being in the end zone since high school. Man, it was a great feeling.”

On Thursday, the 26-year-old gymnast attended Ford Field in Detroit. She showed off her hubby’s success with multiple posts to X as the game unfolded. On her Instagram story, she shared a sweet picture from the sidelines as she greeted her husband with a kiss.

After the touchdown, she shared her excitement and pride in her husband.

“THATS MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!! MY MANS MY MANS MY MANSSSSS,” she wrote.

In spite of her hectic schedule of practices and competitions, Biles has been able to attend several of her husband’s games in person, according to CNN. She donned an all-black ensemble, emerald green sunglasses, and a custom jacket with Owens’ number 34 in Green Bay’s colors.

“A PACKERS WIN BABY!!!!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving,” Biles wrote on X in a separate post after the game.

Their personal sports careers and relationships seem to be well-balanced. The Today Show’s Hoda Kotb interviewed Biles about her plans to compete at the upcoming Paris Olympics in September. According to People, Biles is taking all the time she needs to prepare for the gold medal. The 2024 Paris Olympics featured a Thanksgiving commercial with Houston artist Megan Thee Stallion to ramp up the hype around the sports-filled event.

Aside from the handful of Olympic gold medals and the countless other accolades that she has racked up over the years, Simone Biles is just like the rest of us. Her Thanksgiving weekend included some well-deserved girls time, which, of course, resulted in a night out with a few cocktails. And (like us), after a night of drinking, the last thing she wanted to do was repeat the process.

The professional gymnast took to her TikTok page to share her hilarious take on a post-night out mimosa recipe. Rather than the typical ingredients (champagne or prosecco with a touch of orange juice), Biles poured a glass full of juice and then took the pitcher of Prosecco and simply (and jokingly) wafted the fumes from the bottle into her glass, laughing alongside her friends as she did so.

Peruse older mimosa recipes, and you’ll see that they often call for Champagne and orange juice — not Prosecco, Cava, or generic sparkling wine. Talk about the good old days!

Champagne hasn’t been exactly cheap for some time, but it’s shot up in price even more in the last few years. A combination of factors — including a few difficult harvests, supply-chain issues, and inflation — means that unless you’re Jeff Bezos, real Champagne is a little spendy for a brunch cocktail. So what should you have instead?

Simone Biles

“Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links.”

No matter the occasion, there’s nothing quite like sipping a sweet mimosa. The classic brunch cocktail, which traditionally combines orange juice and Champagne, is simple but effective. Tart and refreshing, mimosas are beloved for good reason—they’re delicious.

Since there are just two star ingredients in a classic mimosa, quality ingredients—especially the bubbly—can take your brunch cocktail from good to pitcher-worthy. Not that mimosas always follow such a strict formula: Variations abound, and we’ve got recipes for everything from pomegranate-infused mimosas to tequila-spiked margarita mimosas.

As a mother of five and an avid home cook, I’m constantly on the lookout for smart ways to stretch my grocery budget and repurpose kitchen “trash.” For instance, I love tricks like using scrunched up aluminum foil to scrub out my casserole dishes, and making chicken stock out of rotisserie chicken bones or Costco’s chicken bouillon (which saves so much storage space and cuts down on waste). So when I heard about another space-saving, trash-reducing trick, I couldn’t wait to try it.

During the busy holiday season, instead of relying on a frozen stash of stock, which may not be enough, or spending the time making my own, I buy cartons (and cartons) of chicken stock. Having ready-to-go stock saves me time and energy and is so worth it — anything to streamline when I’m cooking for hours on end to prepare for a feast! But that’s not all.

The power couple receives love

Owens and Simone have achieved well and more in their careers to stand out amongst the rest. With Biles’ post, the fans only joined in to agree. “Power couple,” a user commented while another gathered to post, temperature rising in GB because of you two.” One of the comments also adored the couple for the bond they shared. It read, “The most beautiful couple. Happiness just radiating.” However, the spectators also made sure to recognize Owens’ efforts on the ground for the evening.

On the 23rd of November, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Lions 29-22 with Owens much to gain. The victory was welcomed not just by Simone but also by fans in the comments. He played a great game yesterday! Go Owen’s!” a comment read cheering the two on. Another one, directed at the couple spoke out what most of America believed, “The Owens🥹 My favorite couple.”

Two years after her emotional Tokyo Olympics exit, US superstar Simone Biles made a spectacular and dramatic return to international gymnastics at the world championships on Sunday.

The 26-year-old successfully became the first female gymnast to execute a “Yurchenko double pike vault” now renamed “Biles II” during women’s qualifying.

Her ambitious return earned her 15.266 points, far ahead of the competition.

In total, she accumulated 58.865 points at the end of the four apparatuses and took the lead in qualifying.

A 19-time world and four-time Olympic champion, Biles arrived in Japan for the 2021 Olympics as the huge favourite thanks to her four titles won five years earlier in Rio.

However, she broke down in full view of a global audience, withdrawing from most of the events.

She then explained that she was fighting against “twisties”, a temporary mental block whereby gymnasts lose their sense of where they are in the air, with the risk of injury when they land.

She returned to action at the beginning of August and demonstrated that she had lost none of her incredible level.

She won the US Classic, where she obtained the best scores on vault, floor and beam, followed by a record eighth US all-around title at the national championships.

“I think what success means to me is a little bit different than before because before everyone defined success for me, even if I had my own narrative that I wanted,” Biles told Olympics.com prior to the world championships.

“So, now, it’s just showing up, being in a good head place, having fun out there, and whatever happens, happens.”

On Sunday, she also competed on the uneven bars for 14.400 points, balance beam where she scored 14.566 and then soared on the floor exercise for a reward of 14.633.

That paved the way for her spectacular vault.

Biles and her USA team will now go for team gold on Wednesday in Antwerp.

– Chiba inspires Japan –
Meanwhile, Kenta Chiba led the way as Japan dominated the men’s team all-around qualifiers.

With 258.228 points, they are four points ahead of the United States and Britain.

They also occupy the first three places in the individual standings.

With a total of 85.799 points, Chiba finished first ahead of teammate Kazuma Kaya (85.598) and Daiki Hashimoto (85.432), the reigning Olympic and world champion in the individual all-around.

Only two competitors from each country can compete in the all-around final, so Hashimoto should have been left out.

But his team, as the regulations allow, said they preferred to retain Hashimoto at the expense of Kaya.

The floor, pommel horse, rings and high bars were also dominated by the reigning Olympic champions of each apparatus.

The qualification rounds are also used to allocate the last team places for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, the Netherlands and Ukraine have secured their places joining China, Britain and Japan who were already qualified.

France, however, missed out on a berth at their own Olympics after finishing 19th in qualifying.

“We knew we had to achieve something almost perfect to qualify,” said one of the team, Jim Zona.

France also failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.

A couple of days ago, the youngest of the Biles family turned one. Baby Biles, the daughter of Simone Biles’ stepbrother Ron Biles Jr. and his wife Sammi Biles has been the joy of the family; engulfing each in love since her arrival. Now with a year on the books, the family has quite the reason for celebrations.

On November 25th last year, the Biles family welcomed Ronni to the world. While all cheered, aunt Simone lay no behind. She celebrated the little one’s arrival calling her ‘precious little niece’; all excited to spoil her. Interestingly, through all the love, Baby Biles has held a challenging journey; one with persistent victories. Today, celebrations on the same have taken over.

Two days after Baby Biles turned one, mother, Sammi Biles took to her Instagram story to share a glimpse into the celebrations. However, it wasn’t just Ronni in the party. A year ago, as Baby Biles was conceived through IVF, there were other kids on the journey with her. Today, all of the little ones seemed to have gathered for the bash.

One of the mothers shared an adorable picture of the three kids together in the arms of their mothers with early Christmas decor in the background. Captioning the post, she wrote, “worst club, best members. Three IVF miracle babies, all born a few months apart.” Sammi reshared the post on her feed for a heartfelt response. “This,” she added with crying emoticons. “How are all our girls one already?!!!” The happy occasion for the family came after a series of challenging moments and a health scare for the little one.

The Biles family battles challenges

Over a month ago, as Simone was dominating the grounds of Antwerp during the 2023 Worlds, the family encountered a little scare back in the States. Sammi Biles, having conceived the one-year-old through faced quite a few difficulties along the way. Sammi often shared the vulnerabilities Baby Biles was in for due to premature birth. However, the family has been sure to not succumb to them.

“cold, flu, rsv season is for the birds” Sammi shared as they awaited for Ronni in the ER. Moreover, Simone’s brother, Ron, was also in the process of undergoing another hip surgery. “praying October is at the very least semi kind to us because November is going to be hard,” Sammi had written after the events. Nonetheless, together, the family successfully managed to battle through it all; celebrating milestones for today.

Around the same time last year, gymnastics legend Simone Biles‘ family was excited to meet the newest member of their family. Baby Biles; the daughter of Simone’s stepbrother Ron Biles Jr. and his wife Sammi Biles. While the gymnast is away from her family on Thanksgiving, her family is counting their blessings.

In a recent Instagram post, Sammi shared a slideshow of pictures and video of daughter Ronni Biles who was born on 25 November 2022. It showed the 11-month-old flaunting her bunny teeth smile while wearing a cartoon top paired with a similar brown tone bow hairband. Her nostalgia reflection on the caption, “SUPER insane that this time last year I was being admitted to the hospital to be induced to get her here safe asap.”

Sammi continued, “& now she’s here playing with me at grandma and grandpas. someone pinch me. What a whirlwind of a year.” From being Simone’s favorite to becoming a mini version of her—she did it all. A month after a health scare for little Ronni, Sammi is still grateful and said, “so thankful for this family of mine.”

During Worlds, while Simone’s parents were in attendance to cheer for their girl, back home Baby Biles was suffering from seasonal blues. In addition, another hip surgery was in talks for Ron, Sammi’s husband. All the while, she herself suffered from mild flu and a sore throat. Putting mommy duties above all, the one-woman army overcame the setback only to get back to planning Ronni’s birthday party! While the party is hours away, did you know how Simone celebrated her Thanksgiving?

“Thankful” Simone celebrates Thanksgiving with a bang

The seven-time Olympic medalist recently shared a Thanksgiving post on Instagram that resonated with her followers. In the update, she and her husband, Jonathan Owens, were seen raising pumpkin-shaped cups in celebration, with Simone captioning the post, “Thankful for you, baby @jowens.” It was their first Thanksgiving as a married couple, which was simply another reason for the gymnast to fly to her man in Wisconsin

A few days back, she also sat for drinks with Owens’ team, Green Bay Packers players’ partners establishing new friendships. Really, who would believe this is the same Simone who rushed for help from her online community to battle the freezing climate of Wisconsin days ago?

Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles continued her spectacular return from a two-year break by claiming her 21st world title with all-around gold at the world gymnastics championships in Antwerp, Belgium.

The United States gymnast produced a dominant display on Friday to score 58.399 points and secure the title ahead of defending champion Rebeca Andrade of Brazil (56.766), with US teammate Shilese Jones taking bronze (56.332).

Biles obtained the best score on three of the four apparatuses, with the uneven bars the exception.

Biles, who won her first all-around world title as a 16-year-old in Antwerp a decade ago, has now claimed a total of 27 world medals – including 21 golds – and led the US women’s team to their seventh consecutive team title on Wednesday.

In total, Biles now has 34 medals across the world championships and Olympics, making her the most decorated gymnast ever – male or female – at the sport’s two signature events. Biles has also surpassed Belarusian Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 33 medals in total at the Olympics and world championships.

“Actually, I had something in my eye today that I couldn’t get out, I swear it’s true,” she told reporters.

“But I was emotional because 10 years ago I won my first worlds and now we’re back here,” said Biles of her return to Antwerp, Belgium, where she opened her world tally in 2013, winning four medals, including two golds.

“It means everything to me, after everything I’ve put in to get back to this place to feel comfortable and confident enough to compete.”

With two more days of competition, everything suggests Biles’s medal collection will be further enriched since she still has four apparatus finals ahead.

Biles has made a breathtaking comeback to the sport since the Tokyo Olympics.

Arriving in Japan as the big favourite thanks to her four gold medals won five years earlier in Rio de Janeiro, Biles broke down and withdrew from four of the five finals after suffering from what in the sport is known as “twisties” – a temporary mental block whereby gymnasts lose their sense of where they are in the air.

Now back at the highest level, the Texan is gearing up for the Paris Olympics after taking advantage of her break to take care of her mental health.

“I was actually less nervous today,” Biles said.

“I was so much more nervous for team finals just because that’s when everything occurred [in Tokyo], so I was a bit traumatised from that, so today I felt a little bit more relaxed. I’m happy that’s over,” she said.

Biles’s competition continues this weekend with the women’s vault and uneven bars finals on Saturday and the balance beam and floor exercise finals on Sunday.

Simone Biles condemns FBI and USA Gymnastics for allowing sex abuse

Simone Biles is all about friendly night outs, NFL post-game celebrations and going gaga over husband Jonathan Owens now. As the current NFL season is currently on its 12th week, the Green Bay Packers had defeated the Lions. Besides game updates, the NFL wives are on a spree to turn heads, especially the Olympian. But this time, her husband garnered more attention.

In a previous game, when the 7X Olympic medalist graced the bleachers to cheer on her husband, she sported a special attire. A customized t-shirt which boasted Owens’ face in the middle of a fierce game. Making headlines for a while, she may have now transferred it to her husband.

Simone Biles’ husband flaunts his wife sartorially

As a surprise Thanksgiving note, the Packers safety husband had something very unlikely planned. To make Biles feel more special, he handpicked some stunning clicks of his wife. After his wife went extra miles to spruce up his life with her vivacious presence, he decided to tell his part as well. The t-shirt had Biles in the black and silver gymnastic leotard, a pink dress, an electric blue co-ord and a beach wear.

Special focus on Owens’ face after posing with his wife on his t-shirt. His expressions and the subtle smile asserted a hint of shyness and pride at the same time. But this is not the first time he moved mountains for his partner. Oftentimes resorting to social media handles, he flaunts his better half or her athletic prowess

Simone Biles

After the 7X Olympic gold medalist clinched her 34th medal across Olympics and Worlds, her husband showered her with flowery love. On top of it, the date nights look nothing short of dreamy. Mid-game moments and snatching kisses have been some of Owens’ specialties.

But since everything is happening on Thanksgiving, the duo clinked tea cups for a change. It was actually a thank you note from the wife who was on a mission to give shout outs to her special ones.

Jonathan Owens receives a note

Captioning the post as “thankful for you baby @jowens,” the Olympian toasted to their amazing life as a couple. From Owens’ smile, it looked like he’s in his haven, being all comfortable and relaxed. Another story captured the duo in black and white in a cozy situation. Showing her love, the 26-year-old planted a kiss on her husband’s cheek, while the latter smiled in content. The couple looks for moments like these amid their hectic career obligations, but still can pull off like pros.

The 2024 Paris Olympics is nearing and athletes are gearing up to put their best foot forward. In the same vein, the Olympian is also looking forward to her 35th medal clinch.

Babies are a ray of hope for many families, and in the family of Simone Biles, Baby Biles is the brightest star. Ronnie Biles, aka Baby Biles, is the niece of the gymnastics GOAT and the daughter of her brother, Ronn Biles II, and Sammi Biles.

She came into the world thanks to IVF on November 25, 2022, and since then, she has become the most adored member of the Biles clan. The miracle Baby Biles just turned one; however, on the joyous occasion, her mother was left in tears, “sobbing,” as she penned a heartfelt note for her daughter.

Sammi Biles, the sister-in-law of the Olympian Simone Biles, recently took to Instagram stories and penned a heartfelt love note for her daughter. She shared a video of the party decor, which included bunches of balloons, a Happy Birthday streamer, and adorable cutouts of Ronni photographed in all her sassy and stylish poses.

She wrote in her caption emotionally, “sobbing,” and she continued, “LIKE, HOW ARE YOU ALREADY ONE????!!!!” adding multiple crying emojis. This past year has been a rollercoaster for Ron Jr. and Sammi, marked by both joy and turmoil as they navigated the challenging journey of infertility and miscarriages. Baby Biles, too, has not had an easy path to becoming one.

The hard path to turning one

Ronni has had her wholesome joyous moments this year, but she has also struggled with vulnerable health concerns. From overcoming COVID and Norovirus to her recent bout with RSV, the little angel has been through a tough time health-wise. Sammi has often even taken to Instagram, sharing how the little angel has had to be rushed to the hospital for her struggles with the cold and flu and how “that rattle in her chest makes me so uneasy.”

In an Instagram story just days before this milestone birthday, Sammi commended the little fighter and her resilience. She candidly shared the chaos in their house, from Thanksgiving prep to first birthday prep to the nervous wait for Ron Biles II’s hip replacement. Yet reminded by the strength of Baby Biles, she wrote, “We are here, and we are making it.”

The Thanksgiving Day divisional battle between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers got off to a wild start, and U.S. gymnastics icon Simone Biles thoroughly enjoyed it.

The four-time Summer Olympics gold medallist couldn’t contain her excitement after her husband, Packers star Jonathan Owens, scored his first career touchdown. The safety was covering wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown when a fumble bounced in his direction.

While some Lions players walked back to the line of scrimmage believing it was an incomplete pass, Owens was alert and picked up the ball before finding his way into the end zone for the scoop-and-score. After review, the Packers were awarded the touchdown. Watch the wild play below:
