Simone Biles has been the talk of the gymnastics industry and beyond ever since she stepped on the platform. The 26-year-old today stands as the most influential and sought-after gymnast with her presence and performance. Last month, she upped her status once again, becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time with 37 medals. The 7 X Olympic medallist has owned every mat and platform she stepped upon; the latter however isn’t limited to the gymnastics field.

Simone has earned major brand deals and magazine covers throughout her career; a feat of its own. The icon has graced the covers right from Teen Vogue to People, Time, Vogue, and more. She has shined upon each shoot and story; touching a new subject each time. However, there is one that stands out even years after its release.

Fans dote over Simone Biles’ cover

Over the last week, a page on X brought back the memories of a magazine cover that featured Simone Biles in her glory. It was the November 2021 issue of the Essence that helped the gymnast stand out for who she is with the right tone and styling. “Essence really gave Simone Biles the editorial she deserved. The richness of her skin and the styling>>>,” the user wrote. And the fans couldn’t have agreed more.

A look back at Essence 2021

Essence is a magazine well known for curating to African-American women. And the publishing stood out in 2021 as it portrayed Simone in elegance and strength. ‘The Year of Saying No,” “The Year of radical self-care,” the magazine wrote as Simone took the centre stage. To align with its stance, Simone couldn’t have been a better choice after advocating for mental health and self-care.

Simone’s withdrawal from the Olympics was a major statement to the onlookers with fears and stereotypes. “I definitely knew any stand I took would be a little bit bigger than itself,” Biles said during her interview. “At the end of the day, we’re humans. We’re not just athletes. We’re not just here for entertainment.” Simone added that, though it was devastating to make such a major decision after years of waiting, she knew she had to take care of herself. By the end of the day, the icon remained content with her decision. “Take care of yourself first,” she said. “You’re more than any medal that you could ever win.”

Under Jordan Chiles’ leadership, the United States won the women’s team event at the Pan American Games setting a straight record. Yet, Chiles’ prominence for this feat went beyond the simple desire for medals. She dreamed of being a flag bearer at a major sports event after seeing her friend Simone Biles carry the flag at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics closing ceremony in 2016. Now, during the opening ceremony in Santiago on Friday, the 22-year-old fulfilled her dream.

Simone Biles cheers for her team

Jordan Chiles joyfully carried the American flag at the National Stadium during the Pan American Games opening ceremony in Santiago, Chile. Thereafter, Chiles led Kayla DiCello, Zoe Miller, Kaliya Lincoln, and Tiana Sumanasekera to collect a major gold this week. To celebrate the momentous team win, Team USA shared an Instagram post with the winners. Reposting her squad, Simone Biles shared an Instagram story captioned, “so proud of team USA & our WCC girls @zoemiller @tianasumanasekera @jordanchiles”

America won the women’s all-around competition with a total of 165.196 points, with a major contribution from Chiles. This was their sixth consecutive Pan American Games gold medal. Later, Chiles told a journalist, “It was really cool to be the flagbearer, then coming out here to win gold with an amazing team.” Interestingly, Jordan Chiles, Tiana Sumanasekera, and Zoe Miller were coached by Biles’s WCC coach, Cecile Landi, who helped to guide them to victory.

The Brazilian squad, captained by Biles’ close friend and Olympic gold medallist Rebeca Andrade, presented fierce opposition. Brazil scored 161.564 points followed by Canada, who won the bronze medal with a final score of 154.230 points. Kayla DiCello who also won bronze in the all-around competition at the 2021 Worlds, proved her mettle by earning the highest scores on the uneven bars and floor exercise. She took home an all-around gold, Flavia Saraiva of Brazil won the silver medal, and Chiles took a bronze. However, the medals weren’t the only examples set by the American women’s team!

American gymnastics team hits an unexpected milestone

In addition to winning a gold medal, the U.S. women’s artistic gymnastics team not only demonstrated incredible domination in the playing field but also, and perhaps most importantly, represented female empowerment in a way never seen before. The all-female Team USA delegation in Santiago is a unique occasion; it hasn’t happened in an Olympic or Pan American Games since at least the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984.

The team’s head coach, Cecile Landi, a 1996 French Olympian, reflected on the historic event and emphasized the mood of “girl power” that pervaded the squad. She conveyed the group’s collective delight, adding, “When we saw who was traveling, we were pretty excited.”

While 2005 American Pan American gold medalist, Chellsie Memmel said, “Obviously, there’s a lot of great male coaches, but it feels really special to have a whole delegation of women.”  Adding her take on this, Chiles noted, “The culture is just changing.”

In the world of gymnastics, there is an amazing story that happens off the mat. Beneath the glitzy routines and the glitter of Olympic golds, Simone Biles assumes a role she loves: that of being a loving aunt to her beloved niece, Ronni Louise Biles. The daughter of Simone’s brother Ron and his wife is set to celebrate her first birthday on November 25th. But more than simply a familial bond, this amazing aunt and her strong niece are united by the unflinching determination to prevail over hardships.

Has Simone Biles’ niece begun her gymnastics journey?

The youngest Biles family member has woven her own captivating story winning hearts in the family as well as a growing fan following. She has blossomed into a brilliant star in her own right thanks to her adoring mother’s charming diaries on Instagram. Just before her ten-month birthday, Sammi Biles shared an Instagram story with a kid’s book titled, “I am a gymnast”  by Sue Fliess. The shining hardcover had an adorable picture of a little girl performing a handstand.

Last week, dressed in the bedazzled leotard by the US gymnastics Team’s apparel sponsor GK Elite, Ronni stunned everyone. Her mother further updated on Baby Bile being the collection model and mentioned it was, the “U.S. Championships 2023 Replica Workout Leotard.” Now, the theoretical journey seems to be beginning after the much-loved apparel-twinning moment. Ronni’s mommy captioned the book story, “This is so cute” with a hearty face emoji.

Coinciding with the major 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Ronni struggled with the disturbing start of cold and flu symptoms as the RSV season threw its chilly shadow. The disturbing turn of events led to the mother and daughter visiting the hospital several times, their strong relationship a ray of hope in the dark. However, the support for her competing aunt remained constant throughout Biles’s meets.

What’s special about Ronni Biles’s birthday?

Ronni’s mother often shares Ronni’s development as a gymnastics enthusiast, following in Simone’s footsteps. During her aunt’s performance in Antwerp, Sammi observed her trying to pull herself up on the crib’s rings and wrote, “Watching TT and wanting to be like her.” The mommy also hinted at plans in motion to throw a gymnastics-themed birthday celebration for the little gymnastics fanatic as her first birthday approaches on November 25.

Since Amazon Prime Day coincided with Ronni Biles’ first birthday, Sammi Biles shared her wish list, taking advantage of the occasion. Sammi’s list also showed Simone Biles’s biography titled “Simone Biles: A Little Golden Book Biography” ranked first on the list. The Biles family’s enduring love and bravery in the face of hardship, continue to serve as an example of living life in the moment! The top-tier Brazilian artistic gymnast Rebeca Andrade, made a mark on the Santiago ground after a path-breaking victory at the World Championships. The 2022 all-around World Champion proved herself as the reigning ‘vault queen’, clinching her first Pan American Games gold. When it comes to vaults in gymnastics, there’s no stopping Rebeca. Last month, as the world’s most decorated Simone Biles attempted her signature YDP, Andrade ensured a title snatch. This time, at the Pan Am, Rebeca’s own unimaginable display left a slightly bitter taste in her mouth.

As Andrade’s “Vault was pretty good,” she cemented a legacy of domination in her signature apparatus. After a soul-satisfying display, the 2020 Olympic, 2021, and 2023 World vault champion opened up. While she claimed her tactical display, the score didn’t please her.

Rebeca Andrade has a vault opinion

One of the most popular ‘X’ users and gymnastic enthusiasts, Scott Bregman shared a post after the conclusion of Pan Am. Celebrating Andrade’s finesse and near-perfect Cheng vault execution, he quoted Rebeca, saying, “Andrade on her vault: “Looking at the video, I think I piked it a bit, maybe if I don’t pike it…. it’s hard for them to give me a 10, but it’s not impossible!“”

Even though she claimed, “I’m happy and proud of everything I presented today,”, she thought the judges could have scored her better. As one of the most difficult vaults requires the ultimate expertise to ace it. And Rebeca, the worthy rival of Simone, proved her excellence in the routine repeatedly. With an extra pike, a 9.733 didn’t quite do justice to her hard work

While Rebeca’s dissatisfaction stayed long after the game, another gymnast waved her victory flag. Anchoring her team to the deserved gold, Simone’s best friend and hype woman, Jordan Chiles, proved her mark in Pan Am. After several unsuccessful attempts this year, she did it this time

The reigning champion Jordan Chiles

The US women’s gymnastics team won a gold medal on Sunday after the team gold in the World Championships. It’s better to say that the American women gymnasts are writing fresh pages in the history book, under the direction of Jordan Chiles, who carried the American flag at the Pan American Games opening ceremony on Friday.

With a strong performance by Chiles, the U.S. won the women’s all-around competition with 165.196 points. Securing their sixth consecutive women’s team gold at the Pan American Games, the US team stood atop the podium. After the prolific displays, Chiles said, “It was really cool to be the flagbearer, then coming out here to win gold with an amazing team.”

Gymnastics star Simone Biles is very active on social media at the moment and is sharing constant updates about her life with husband Jonathan Owens.

The duo got married earlier in 2023 and are clearly extremely devoted to one another, as they are currently building a house together.

Owens is a strong safety for the Green Bay Packers and being in the NFL means that he is travelling all over the country each month. Despite that, he has still managed to ensure that Biles gets the same gift each week.

She shared an Instagram story which showed a huge bouquet of flowers and the accompanying message: “These showed up at the doorstep, he still makes sure I get flowers weekly even though he’s 1,000 miles away. Best husband.”

Despite being so far away, Owens had made the necessary arrangements for Biles to get her flowers.

The new home in Texas

Biles recently took to Instagram to offer a glimpse of the ongoing construction of their future Texas abode.

The tour she shared started with an image of a section of the home’s facade, wrapped in protective house coverings.

She couldn’t contain her excitement as she captioned it, “Tiles are in!!!!!!!”

In a series of photos posted to Biles’ Instagram Story, she gave her followers an update on their home’s construction.

The gymnast then revealed that the “frames for the sliding doors are in,” giving us a glimpse of the interior with bare wooden beams taking shape.

Continuing the tour, Simone playfully wrote, “Can’t decide if this is the hallway of my dreams or the ones that are in my nightmares lmao.”

The photo showed a door frame and high ceilings taking shape, giving a tantalizing hint of the home’s grandeur.

Simone Biles has made her return to international gymnastics competition, marking her first major event since the Tokyo Olympics.

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in US history, will compete at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, where she made her world championships debut.

“Antwerp gave me all the confidence I needed going forward. When I came into 2013, I was literally a nobody,” she noted.

This appearance at the World Championships is significant for Biles, as it marks her American record sixth world championships.

It also brings her journey full circle, as she previously took a two-year break after her first Olympic Games in 2016.

However, this time, she wasn’t sure if her break would be finite. Biles returned to gym training for fitness reasons in September 2022 and shared her serious comeback plans with her coach, Cecile Landi, in March.

Biles leads a strong US women’s team aiming to secure a record-breaking seventh consecutive world team title, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of her first world gold medal.

The team is heavily favored, boasting top gymnasts in the all-around, including Biles, Shilese Jones, Leanne Wong, Skye Blakely, and rookie Joscelyn Roberson.

Russia, the reigning Olympic team champions, is absent from the competition due to sanctions following the invasion of Ukraine. This could impact their ability to qualify a team for the Paris Olympics, pending rule changes

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are dealing with long distance challenges yet again. Reuniting after being apart for six weeks, NFL husband Owens, the Green Bay Packers defense, had to leave for work once more. This left the gymnastics queen missing him terribly. She even took to social media, saying “I miss you” to her husband in an Instagram story.

The Olympian also shared a heartwarming story where she was cuddling up in a Green Bay Packers-themed blanket. If that wasn’t enough, Biles recently took to social media and shared a unique $300,000 tribute to her long-distance husband.

Biles recently uploaded a stunning post to Instagram. She treated her seven million flowers to a beautiful black-and-white image captured in a gymnasium. In the photo, Biles exuded confidence with her makeup and nails on point. She posed in a white custom-made leotard by the brand GK Elite. The leotard was adorned with rhinestones and unique floral patterns on the sleeves, and it perfectly accentuated her athletic physique.

Biles captioned the image, writing “BTS” and adding a camera emoji and a white heart, tagging the brand GK Elite. What stood out in the image, however, was her frosty diamond engagement ring worth nearly $325,000 and her diamond-studded wedding band. This image with the stunning rings comes as a surprise, as Biles had previously refused to wear the precious token of love.

Why she refuses to wear her symbol of love

In the past, a fan had asked Biles in a Q&A post on Instagram about how she manages to practice her flawless routines with her rings. To which Simone replied, “No, no, no! I wear a silicone band or a thin band I got off of Amazon…”. Biles’ $300,000-dollar engagement ring was custom-made for her. Her husband, J-Owens, went all out to make it special. He partnered with the jeweler Zo Frost, who curated the stunning piece with the oval-cut diamond, which was 3 carats, F color, and had VVS2 clarity and an added halo.

The rings have become a symbol of their love, and Biles adorns them with delight while also ensuring they’re protected. In the past too, Biles has revealed that whenever she hits the gym, she wears a second ring from Casual Carats as a decoy that comes built into a white silicone band, showing the length she goes to ensure the rings don’t get damaged.

As Biles shows off her bling from a gymnasium, it’s clear that she is missing her husband, who is miles away. It’s evident that she carries her husband’s presence with her, even when they are miles apart. As Biles has revealed she has ended her season for 2023, fans hope for the adorable couple’s reunion once more.

For the last couple of months, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been residing in different states in the wake of their work commitments. While Biles is now back in Texas after clinching glory at the 2023 US Core Hydration Classic, the 2023 Xfinity Gymnastics Championships, and the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Owens is focused on clinching this year’s Vince Lombardi trophy. However, as the NFL safety resides away from home, he misses one of his closest comrades.

Simone Biles keeps updating her fandom with Lilo and Rambo’s adorable mischieves

A few months ago, Biles took to Instagram to share the mischief the two cute dogs were up to. She posted stories with the guilty faces of the dogs on her story, adding a “type something” box, and she wrote, “I’m BEGGING for help.

These 2 days won’t stop marking, and I’ve tried everything… – sprays – diapers – belly bands – professional carpet cleaning, and they won’t stop”. The post did not end there. She further expressed her frustration, venting about how the problem persisted despite them being neutered, and she finally said, “I can’t take it anymore… WHAT DO I DO? Doggy boot camp? Or what? It’s gone on for a year now, and I’m OVER IT”.

Now, as Owens resides far from home as he is girding up for his upcoming playoffs, the NFL star expressed his love for his beloved furry friend by re sharing yet another fascinating story on his Instagram handle. Lilo and Rambo, indeed, are the couple’s most favorite comrades, don’t you agree?

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are living a modern-day fairytale. From their initial meeting on a dating website to walking down the aisle, their journey has shown the profound strength of their love for each other. However, the challenges of their constant work commitments often keep these two lovebirds physically apart. Just weeks ago, the two had a week filled with love and romance after being apart for six weeks.

She continued writing, “He still makes sure I get flowers weekly, even though he’s 1,000 miles away. Best husband, Jonathan Owens”.  This revelation came just weeks after Owens had welcomed her with nature’s best gift, another fall bouquet when the couple shared a week full of love.

The week full of love and romance

As Biles returned from the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Owens treated her to a “date night” with a meal cooked specially by Chef James Watford. Then Biles even received the stunning bouquet, which she warmly shared on social media, writing, “Jonathan bought me the prettiest flowers.” The couple then shared images of themselves during the week, soaking up and savoring some much-needed time with each other. From cuddling selfies on the couch to stylish mirror photos, they affectionately shared their reunion online.

Biles previously mentioned in an interview with Today that she plans to attend her husband’s games during the fall. This has fans waiting in anticipation for this lovely couple to reunite once again.

Being on a pedestal bears a responsibility unforeseen. Simone Biles, owing to her position, has fairly justified the image she bestows. The gymnast set an example in 2020 as she cut short her Olympics journey to prioritize her mental health. Today, as she takes to Instagram, Simone has yet another message to deliver; winning the hearts of the spectators.

Simone Biles has a message for spectators

Simone Biles has often been vocal about mental health challenges. The gymnast suffered from something called ‘twisties’ during the Olympics. However, being at the peak of her career did not stop Simone from accepting the situation and taking suitable time off. “I have to do what’s right for me and focus on my mental health and not jeopardize my health and well-being,” Biles said; reports Edelson and associates.info.

But that wasn’t the only time Simone told people it was okay; okay to take care and okay to be yourself. During an interview with Vogue in 2020, Simone also spoke about self-acceptance through a campaign she was a part of. “I’ve been dealing with scrutiny my whole life…and social media doesn’t make it any better, but I think the campaign will help us as women to speak up about toxic beauty standards,” Simone said. Now fast forward 3 years, and Simone still stands as an advocate for the message.

Simone Biles

On Friday, Simone took to Instagram to share a warming post. Rocking a plain black jacket, Simone wrote, “don’t worry bout fitting in when you custom made.”

Simone’s touchdown upon the subject sent a strong message of self-love and acceptance. The caption reached out to the spectators on the watch and evoked a response of agreement.

Fans extend appreciation

The matter of being oneself is not an act that is easy to come by. However, a push from outside at the right time is sometimes all one needs to take a step. And with the warming stance from the gymnastics icon herself, fans couldn’t help but back the caption. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?!” ~ Dr Seuss Get it girl you are an icon,” one of the followers commented receiving over a hundred likes. While another added, “You better let them know. #period.”

The support for the writing continued as one wrote, “custom made PERIODDDDDD,” and another user added, “I know that’s right!” Following along with the comments, users reacted using hearts, fire, and clapping hands emoji.

With the support came the appreciation for the gymnast. Long-time followers and fans poured in praise for the icon with her new post. One read, “Simone you are beautiful smart strong I mean really strong you outstanding woman God bless you are one in billion.” The other chimed in to say, “Sweet and beautiful be your self .” The reactions were an exemplary stance of the influence the icon could exude over the spectators afar.
