Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been ardent cheerleaders for each other. However, the love birds have had to do most of this cheering from miles apart. Just last week, the two were reunited after being away for six long weeks. And now once more, Biles, back from making history at the World Gymnastics Championships, finds herself far away from her husband, who is back on the NFL turf. Biles, the gymnastics legend, is back home in Houston, Texas.

While her husband is away with his team, the Green Bay Packers, who are ready to once again show their immense potential after the week. For Biles and Owens, that means dealing with long distances all over again. The Olympian even wrote in her post recently after spending a week full of love with her husband, saying, “I miss you” with a teary-eyed emoji. And days after this update, missing her husband once more, Biles gave a cozy cheer for her man.

Simone Biles gives a cozy cheer to Jonathan Owens

Biles shared a cozy update on her Instagram stories recently. She uploaded a picture of a huge green fur quilt that had the Packers logo and symbols printed all over it. The blanket was from Vera Bradley, which offers an NFL lineup of top-rated styles for fans and supporters. Biles’ image needed no caption, as it was clearly a cozy cheer for her husband, far away.

In a previous story, Biles even shared a post from the Green Bay Packers profile of Owens’ jersey, which is Number 34, hanging in the locker room. And Biles wrote “34” with a yellow heart. Despite the distance, updates like these show how the couple never fails to uplift and support one another.

The loud cheers across the miles

This year, despite the distance, Owens never failed to show his steadfast love for his gymnastics-legend wife. His Instagram stories were flooded each time Biles took the competition floor, and he declared his wife the “GOAT” and once even said there was “no one better” than her. Biles, too, pulled out all the stops when it came to being the perfect cheerleader for her husband

Biles has even attended two of Owens’ games this year.  In the previous game, Biles was physically in attendance to support Green Bay’s win over the Chicago Bears and uploaded a post captioned “A weekend in a windy city”. Owens aptly wrote in the comments, “My biggest cheerleader”. And days ago, Biles shared some exciting news.

In her latest interview with Today, she said, “My season just ended, so I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.” As the excitement builds to see Biles in the NFL stands again, her exclusive update in connection to her husband’s team has warmed fans’ hearts

They say, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder.” But what they don’t mention is the challenge it brings for married couples. For athletes who belong to different sports, it becomes even more daunting to have a life of togetherness. With pressure to aim high and games ahead, couples can find it difficult to support each other. But not for the gymnastic prodigy Simone Biles. She exemplifies perfection in all senses. Having married the NFL player, Jonathan Owens in May, the two lovebirds have supported each other through thick and thin.

Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles’ wedding was different in style. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate Texas courtroom wedding. Afterward, the two traveled to Mexico for a destination wedding. Since then, the two have made sure to support each other in their respective endeavors. Be it in person or virtually, the duo is maintaining a strong long-distance relationship. Biles’ recent story testifies to this fact.

Simone Biles is an all-rounder. She has established herself as the sport’s “GOAT” with seven Olympic medals, six All-World titles, and eight All-around national crowns. But when she’s not on the mat, she makes sure to update fans on her Instagram account. Hers is an account with seven million people watching her every move. Not new to fame, Biles handles her account very well. Recently, she took to her account to share an Instagram story. This time, the story was paying tribute to Owens’ jersey number. She captioned it “34” with a yellow heart.

Owens, who was playing for the Houston Texans, signed with the Green Bay Packers in May following their nuptials. With Simone Biles rooting for Owens, all that can be said is that the Packers vs. the Broncos would be one match to watch! But this is not the first time Biles has shown her support for Owens

Biles has worked hard all her life and after announcing a break from gymnastics, Owens was right by her side. The two have always found a way to navigate hardships in their lives. When Owens is feeling dejected by the loss, Simone is right by his side to shower him with love. Even if it’s hard to find time with a hectic schedule, Biles is always one step ahead to support her love.

In good and bad weather

On August 20, the New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers game took place in Cincinnati. Biles’ love for her husband pushed her to attend the game. She had earlier stated that, because of her hectic training schedule, she might only have about 35 minutes to spend with Owens. But her presence at the stadium surprised everyone.

After the Packers lost to the Patriots by a 21-17 score, Biles was there to boost Owens’ morale. The Instagram story showed Biles and Owens in bed with two cocktails in their hands. Biles captioned the story “@jowens” with a symbolic yellow heart. Be it a yellow heart or wearing a neckpiece with “OWENS” written on it, Biles makes sure to pay tribute to her lover. She is a perfect lady who knows how to balance the personal and professional sides of life.

Gymnast Kara Eaker, double world team champion with the United States, announced her retirement from gymnastics at the age of 20 as she lamented in a letter posted on her social media channels having suffered “verbal and emotional abuse” on the University of Utah team.

“I accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Utah because I truly believed the school was a place where I could contribute to the community, be a strong asset to the gymnastics team, and be free to develop myself and future career,” Eaker wrote in an Instagram post.

“For two years, while training with the Utah Gymnastics team, I was a victim of verbal and emotional abuse. As a result, my physical, mental and emotional health has rapidly declined.

“During my recruiting process, I was promised a ‘family’ within this program and a ‘sisterhood’ with my teammates, who would accept me, care for me, and support me. But instead, after I entered as a freshman, I was heartbroken to find the opposite in that I was training in an unhealthy, unsafe, and toxic environment.”

Brought to the point of tears

The former teammate of Simone Biles added that she was ridiculed, sometimes even “to the point of tears in front of the whole team”.

“I was scared to death by the loud and angry outbursts from the coach, ‘What the hell is wrong with you!’ What the f-ck are you doing!’ ‘You better get your sh-t together!’ and ‘Pull your head out of your ass!’

“The words are so intense and hurtful that it feels like a knife that’s stabbed so deep in my body that there’s no way to pull it out.

“I am speaking out for all the women who can’t because they are mentally debilitated and paralyzed by fear.

“I, too, find myself frozen in moments when fear takes over. But I can no longer stand by while perpetrators are still allowed in sports and are causing young girls and women to suffer.”

Eaker was team world champion in 2018 and 2019, and also won two golds at the Pan American Games.

The United States of America boasts an impressive roster of exceptional female athletes. From tennis icon Serena Williams to Alpine skiing star Lindsey Von, the country’s landscape hosts many remarkable talents. Among these, the nation celebrates the achievements of Simone Biles, whose remarkable entry into gymnastics has captivated the world. However, despite her undeniable talent and immense wealth, Biles finds herself trailing behind the formidable American soccer duo of Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan when it comes to marketability.

When it comes to US female athletes, Simone Biles is a household name. However, today, the renowned Olympic champion has been overshadowed by the soccer duo from her own country. This revelation comes from a study conducted by SportsPro, which recently released a list of the top 125 most marketable athletes in 2023.

Simone Biles

In the list released by the British media company, four US female athletes have made it into the top 10, with Simone Biles taking 8th place and Mikaela Shiffrin taking 6th. But, in an intriguing turn of events, the soccer duo of Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe have secured third and fifth place.

While Simone Biles may be twice as financially blessed as the renowned US soccer athletes, she has found it challenging to outshine the duo in the fiercely competitive arena.

Who is the most marketable athlete of 2023?

Lionel Messi has secured the top spot as the most marketable athlete in 2023. Following the Argentinian, it’s basketball maestro LeBron James, with Giannis Antetokounmpo in fourth place. Lewis Hamilton, Kylian Mbappe, and Max Verstappen have taken the seventh, ninth, and tenth positions, respectively.

The rest of the top 20 include athletes like Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, Stephen Curry, and Naomi Osaka. Shockingly, Cristiano Ronaldo failed to make the top 20, securing 27th place. Furthermore, Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Erling Haaland occupied the 31st to 33rd positions. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal and Ons Jabeur ranked beyond the top 40.

Simone Biles has had a well-immersed career path that has led her to become one of the greatest in the gymnastics world. The 26-year-old today stands to be the most decorated gymnast ever with 30 medals. However, through her journey to success, Simone has maintained and nurtured notable relationships; some of which continue to shine and some left behind.

Simone Biles tied the knot with the remarkable NFL player, Jonathan Owens in April 2023. But prior to this adored couple, Simone and her WWE millionaire ex-boyfriend were in the news from 2017 to 2020. Now even as the two have moved down their path, Simone’s long-time best friend seems to be on good terms with both the icons.

The gymnast’s best friend shares a warming note

Simone Biles

Simone Biles has been known to share great bonds on the field. Be it Aly Raisman or Jordan Chiles, there’s a friendship fans look up to. However, one particular relationship of Simone’s beyond the mats has been especially heartwarming; the bond with Rachel Moore. The two gymnasts met at Bonnon’s – the training center- and have shared each other’s journey ever since.

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles got frightened by a snake that she recently encountered. Not only did Biles mention this incident to her fans, but she was also curious to know about the type of snake that she saw.

Like every human being, Biles also possesses her fair share of fears. Previously, during the 2014 World Championships, she jumped off the podium to escape a bee that was seemingly in her bouquet.

Recently, Simone Biles shared her fear of snakes with her fans on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle. The gymnast uploaded the picture of a snake that was comparatively small and had black and brown scales on it. Along with the picture, she also showed her curiosity to know the type of snake she encountered.

As soon as Biles posted the question along with the picture of the snake, her fans filled the comment section with several reactions.

While many expressed their own feeling of scare, most of her fans concluded that it was an eastern hog-nosed snake. Found in North America, these snakes are mildly venomous and rear-fanged. Many people keep these snakes as pets as well.

Through her elite journey, Simone Biles showed the value of seeking help; if necessary. All the while stressing the need to address mental health amidst external pressures. Furthermore, the tremendous support she has received from her fans is seen by the passionate sellout audiences at her meets. Her influence runs deep on people all over the world, motivating many to normalize real-time situations. Her return to mats after two years reflects a potent illustration of her ‘walking the talk’.

As Biles became the most decorated gymnast, the resolute support from her fans erupted while watching her Antwerp performance. Just recently another fan of Biles showed their love for the gymnastics queen in a personalised way.

Simone Biles found her ideal gift

While traditionally the receiver should be given their gift in the times when the world connects online, sometimes a gift just lies around waiting to be discovered. The same happened when 26-year-old Biles stumbled across a vintage-infused modern collage by @cargowallpapers on Instagram. The growing small business account posted a memory board with amazing quotes tagging the gymnast. Biles reposted the picture on her Instagram story showing her love for the curator.

The picture included a cutout from her pink leotard photoshoot, her selfies posted on Instagram, the heartwarming hug with her husband Jonathan Owens, and her national championship bedazzled leotard pose. The Owens vacation memory and the yellow flowy dressed wife with suited up husband, a selfie with Joscelyn Roberson, and finally Biles wiping off her tears standing on the Worlds podium. A popping cutout message read, “Reminder: Take time to take care of yourself today!”

Biles turned emotional and headed to the comment section and said, “This is so cute,” followed by another comment with a brown heart and teary eyes emoji. Indeed, each of the memories was close to her heart. Hours after the selfie with Roberson, she said, “Team finals it was an interesting & unexpected night!” as the US Team won their seventh straight team medal at Worlds. However, just recently Biles revealed the real reason she teared up at the podium, and no, it’s not because her Worlds medal tally added up to 27!

Why did Biles look like she was crying?

In her sixth appearance at Worlds, Biles won her sixth all-around title keeping her streak going. She had a strong showing in the women’s floor and balance beam finals. However, it was later disclosed that the emotional outburst, which included wiping tears from her eye at the gold ceremony, was partially caused by an eye injury she had acquired during the tournament. In an interview, Biles recounted the experience and said, “I was definitely emotional, but not to the point of crying.”

She explained that when the physicians examined her eye, they found that the gymnast had cut her eye. Biles said that during the routine, little fragments of the new bars had been dropping into her eye and causing the damage. She confirmed the emotion and physical pain saying, ‘So while I was looking up there, it was like a combination of both.’  On her special day, Biles put her joy above addressing the discomfort, even though she underlined the need for self-care.

Simone Biles has an important message for fans.

The champion gymnast, 26, shared some encouraging words of wisdom with her followers as she posted two new selfies on Instagram Friday.

“Don’t worry bout fitting in when you custom made 🖤,” Simone wrote in her caption. In the photos, she gave a slight smile to the camera as she sported a natural make-up look while sitting indoors.

Elsewhere on her Instagram Story, Simone posted a photo of herself enjoying frozen margaritas with her younger sister, Adria Biles. “Sister sister 💕,” she captioned the picture.

Simone snapped Adria, 24, smiling in a kitchen as the pair raised their glasses together.

Simone previously spoke about taking on a motherly role with Adria — who was her bridesmaid at her two weddings in April and May — when they were in foster care as children.

“I wanted to take care of Adria obviously because she was the baby,” Simone said of Adria, as she discussed their close bond on her Facebook Watch series, Simone vs. Herself. “I just felt like I needed to look out for her because if family doesn’t look out for you, who’s going to?”

Simone entered the foster care system with her sister at the age of 3, as their biological mom couldn’t take care of them due to her drug and alcohol addiction.

The siblings were eventually adopted by their maternal grandparents after three years in foster care.

Simone Biles

Biles’ latest posts come after she opened up about her changed perspective on gymnastics earlier this week, after becoming the most decorated gymnast in history following her performance at the World Gymnastics Championships.

Speaking on the Today show on Thursday, Biles said, “Gymnastics is just something I get to come in and have the privilege of doing. I don’t feel like it’s the end all be all anymore, as before I kind of felt like that. I get to go home to my husband, to my dogs, to my house, and all of the things. So it feels really good.”

She then hinted that she is now focused on supporting her husband and Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, as she wore a sparkly necklace with the name “Owens” on the show.

“It’s been really fun supporting what he loves to do,” the seven-time Olympic medalist said. “Obviously, he’s in Green Bay right now, so my season just ended. I’m super excited to get out there to Green Bay for the holidays to support him.”

Flaunting her ‘Owens’ necklace in a recent interview, gymnast Simone Biles expressed her excitement about visiting Green Bay to support her husband, Jonathan Owens, during the ongoing NFL season. The 26-year-old had a stunning performance at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in early October. Now, as Biles is enjoying her holidays, she has her plans set for Green Bay.

The couple, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have been maintaining a long-distance relationship since they got married in May 2023. The gymnast’s husband and NFL player transferred to Green Bay Packers from Houston Texans after their wedding. As a result, Owens lives in Green Bay to train with his team, while Biles lives in Houston. They can only spend time together during the off days and weekends.

Moreover, after returning from a two-year mental health break in August, Biles was incredibly busy competing in back-to-back championships. Finally, after wrapping up the world championships, she will be visiting Green Bay to support Owens and the Packers in their upcoming match on October 23 against the Denver Broncos

Biles’s happiness was reflected in her face when she talked about it in an interview with Today. Host Hoda Kotb teased the gymnast for her glistening ‘OWENS’ necklace, which made the gymnast blush and she explained that it was for her husband.

Furthermore, Simone Biles talked about supporting Jonathan Owens in his NFL career,

Upon her return to international competition after two years, Simone Biles had an impressive outing at the 2023 Gymnastics World Championships. The American clinched five medals (four gold and one silver), making her the gymnast with the most Olympic and World Championship medals.

While most fans and enthusiasts of the sport were overjoyed to see Biles back to her winning ways, the head coach of the Russian artistic gymnastics team, Valentina Rodionenko, didn’t share the same sentiments.

Simone Biles

She said that Biles’ routine had no artistic element to it, adding that her winning solely based on the difficulty of her moves was unmerited. In an interview with Match TV, Rodionenko said:

Rodionenko stated that she would take up the issue with the International Gymnastics Federation in hopes of a rule change regarding the way judges score a routine
