All indications are that Tiger Woods will play in the Masters next week.

What is good news for golf fans comes with one major question that has become the theme of Woods’ pro golf twilight: how will the 15-time major champion’s body hold up? Former Stanford teammate and longtime friend Notah Begay III says everyone will find out at the same time.

“He’s trying to formulate a strategy and approach that he can work within given the constraints that he’s presented with. And he’s got some constraints,” Begay, now a commentator for NBC Sports, said on a conference call Wednesday. “He’s got zero mobility in that left ankle and really has low-back challenges now, which he knew he was going to have.”

At a junior golf tournament Begay hosts (and Charlie Woods played), Woods told Begay, “my ankle doesn’t move. So something’s going to take the stress. I mean, the stress is going to transfer somewhere else.”

Woods anticipated it could have been his knee or his hip, and the pain is most felt in his back. Woods withdrew from the Genesis Invitational, which he hosts, and said he suffered a back injury during the first round.

In February 2021, Woods nearly had his lower right leg amputated following an accident during which his Genesis GV80 struck the median and rolled over multiple times. Already saddled with injuries, Woods now has trouble walking.

“For the past couple months, he’s been trying to find a way to recover,” Begay said. “He can play the golf. We always knew the question was going to be ‘Can he walk the 72 (holes)?’ That’s still up in the air. But can he recover, from one round to the next? That’s the biggest question that I really don’t know and he’s not going to know either until he gets out there and figures out whether the way he’s prepared for this year’s Masters is going to work for him.”

According to Sports Illustrated, Woods played Augusta National over the weekend with PGA pal Justin Thomas and club chairman Fred Ridley.

Woods has won at Augusta five times. His most recent victory, in 2019, came more than 10 years after his last major victory. He made his 23rd consecutive cut at Augusta last year but did not finish the tournament because he withdrew with plantar fasciitis.

“I think playing on the weekend would be a win, a win-win,” ESPN commentator Andy North said on a conference call Tuesday. “He’s going to tell you that he’s there because he thinks he can win the tournament, but to be realistic, what he’s gone through, you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. What he has to do to get ready to go out and try to play golf every single day is very, very difficult.”

As the golf world gears up for the highly anticipated Masters tournament next week, all eyes are on Tiger Woods, who appears to have made a bold decision in preparation for the event.

Wood’s sex ban ahead of Masters tournament

According to sources close to the golfing legend, Woods has reportedly imposed a self-imposed ban on sex until after the tournament, in a bid to maintain his focus and dedication to the game.

In an exclusive interview with The New York Post, a friend of Woods revealed, “He’s working really hard in the gym. He’s eating right. He’s even eliminated sex. He does that now when he’s preparing: no sex until the tournament is over. He doesn’t want anything to take away his focus.”

The report comes amidst speculation about Woods’ personal life following his highly publicized breakup with former girlfriend Erica Herman in 2023.

Despite rumors swirling about his dating life, Woods’ friend remained tight-lipped, stating, “there’s no one to speak of.”

Woods, who has won the Masters a remarkable five times, is undoubtedly aiming to secure his sixth green jacket at Augusta National.

Despite facing ongoing physical challenges, including mobility issues in his left ankle and chronic back pain, Woods remains determined to compete at the highest level.

Woods has an uphill physical battle before Masters

Former Stanford teammate and longtime friend Notah Begay III commented on Woods’ physical condition, acknowledging the challenges he faces.

“He’s trying to formulate a strategy and approach that he can work within given the constraints that he’s presented with,”Begay said.

“And he’s got some constraints.”

Despite these obstacles, Woods recently played Augusta National alongside PGA pal Justin Thomas and club chairman Fred Ridley, indicating his commitment to preparing for the tournament.

His most recent victory at Augusta came in 2019, marking a triumphant return to form after a decade-long drought in major victories.

“He’s got zero mobility in that left ankle and really has low-back challenges now, which he knew he was going to have,”Begay also revealed.

“For the past couple months, he’s been trying to find a way to recover,”Begay went on explaining Woods’ biggest hurdle.

With the Masters just around the corner, the question remains: Will Tiger Woods’ unconventional preparation pay off? Golf fans will have to wait until April 11th to witness the outcome as Woods takes to the course in pursuit of golfing glory once again.

More than a decade has passed since the high-profile divorce between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, a split that captivated the world’s attention.

Yet, time has shown that even the most explosive endings can pave the way for new beginnings, especially when it comes to the well-being of children.

Today, Woods and Nordegren stand as a testament to the power of amicable co-parenting, having moved beyond their tumultuous past to support their children together.

The essence of their transformed relationship was captured in Florida earlier this week, where both Woods and Nordegren came together to celebrate their son, Charlie, as he received state accolades for his high school achievements.

The sight of these proud parents, smiling and united in support of their son, offered a stark contrast to the public’s last collective memory of their relationship.

Nordegren’s presence at Charlie’s golf events, including a recent pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic, further underscores this united front.

A source close to Nordegren shared insights with People magazine, revealing the nature of their current relationship.

“They’re friends now. Everything that happened in the past is in the past,” the source explained. This sentiment reflects a mutual decision to prioritize their roles as parents above all, fostering a harmonious environment for their children.

The respect they hold for each other in their current capacities is evident, with Woods reportedly speaking highly of Nordegren and both parents receiving equal adoration from their children.

Following the divorce, Nordegren found happiness with former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron, expanding her family with three more children.

This development aligns with her long-held aspiration for a large family, with the source describing her current life as living her “sweetest dream.”

From tension to friendship

The journey from a high-profile split, marked by Woods’s admission of infidelity in 2010, to a peaceful co-parenting arrangement did not happen overnight.

However, Woods and Nordegren have demonstrated that it is possible to rise above past grievances for the sake of shared loved ones.

Their story serves as an inspiring example for couples navigating the complexities of parenting post-divorce, highlighting the possibility of transformation from tension to friendship and mutual respect.

As they continue to put their children first, Woods and Nordegren‘s relationship evolves, proving that family dynamics can flourish in ways one might never expect, especially when both parties are committed to turning a new leaf.

Charlie Woods was congratulated by proud father Tiger Woods and mother Elin Nordegren as he picked up his state championship ring with fellow Benjamin School golf team members on 26 March.

Woods and his ex-wife Elin were among those in attendance during a presentation as the Benjamin School golf team members received their state championship rings following their victory at Mission Inn Resort and Club, Florida, in November 2023.

Charlie Woods seen chipping in for birdie on the final day and celebrating like his father en route to helping his Benjamin School boys side win a fourth state championship in program history.

First-year team member and freshman Charlie, now 15, carded a 76 on Day 2 to total 154 and finish T26 on the individual board.

But Charlie’s overall team, Benjamin boys golf, led by long-time coach Toby Harbeck, saw out the team title to claim it for the first time since 2009.

The victory marked the Bucs’ third trophy of 2023 after district and region wins.

Charlie was joined by Brooks Colton, Pavel Tsar, Jake Valentine and Tyler Bruneau.

Valentine was the star of the show for the Bucs with a 36-hole score of 148 to finish T8.

15-time major champion Tiger Woods was in attendance Tuesday, March 26, at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens as members of the boys golf received their state championship rings.

The Benjamin boys team, led by longtime coach Toby Harbeck, won for the fourth time in program history — the first time since 2009. The squad captured the Class 1A title at Mission Inn Resort and Club at Howey-in-the-Hills in November.

While Charlie Woods is the team’s most famous member, others on the squad include Tyler Bruneau, Brooks Colton, Aiden Miller, Jack Nicoletta, Travis Robertson, Drew Sterling, Andrew Tsar, Pavel Tsar, Jake Valentine and Luke Wise.

Charlie’s mother Elin Nordegren was also on-hand to celebrate the team’s achievements.

Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren attended their son Charlie’s high school ring celebration on Tuesday, March 26 commemorating the school’s 2023 state championship in boys golf.

Charlie is a 15-year-old freshman at The Benjamin School, a prestigious private school with two campuses in Palm Beach County; one in Palm Beach Gardens, the other in North Palm Beach.

Tiger, 48, lives in Jupiter Island on the Martin County/Palm Beach County border, about 16 miles from Benjamin’s North Palm Beach campus. Nordegren, 44, lives in Palm Beach Gardens.

During Tuesday’s celebration at Benjamin’s Upper Campus in Palm Beach Gardens, head coach Toby Harbeck, who has led the program to four state titles in 40 years, choked back tears during a passionate speech.

“I told myself I wasn’t going to do this,” Harbeck said, wiping a wet cheek with his sleeve before telling the story of the night before the last match of the season when the team came back from four shots behind with six holes left to win the 1A title by a single stroke.

The day before that match, Harbeck said, “We sat in the hotel room and we talked about what we had to do … I told them that when you win a state championship, no one can ever take that away from you.

“You can be 75 years old sitting in a chair with your grandkids on you and you can tell them, ‘I was a state champion.’ “

Tiger Woods has won 15 major championships on the PGA Tour, second only to Jack Nicklaus, who lives in North Palm Beach. But Tiger Woods and his ex-wife were just parents Tuesday as they gleamed with pride as Charlie rocked the ring box back and forth in his hands, watching light dance on the jewelry’s diamonds.

“You know, we don’t call him Tiger. We call him Dad because he’s Dad,” Harbeck said. “And Charlie’s not Tiger Woods’ son, but he’s Charlie, and that’s the way they want it to be.”

“Tiger’s been there a lot — it’s great to have him watching.”

Harbeck recalled a story about Tiger. During a home match this season, the coach and the golfer were sitting together as the team shot a course-record 15-under. After the last shot, Tiger turned to Harbeck and said, ‘What did we shoot, coach?’ “

When told of the course record, Tiger said “Are you kidding me?,” Harbeck recalled. Tiger then proceeded to shake all of the players’ hands.

Charlie has been in the spotlight recently because of his golfing; he tried but failed to qualify for the Cognizant Classic (formerly the Honda Classic) in February. The Cognizant Classic is played at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens; In December, father and son played in the PNC Championship in Orlando, the fourth consecutive year they’ve played in the parent-child scramble, according to PGATour.com.

Hughes NortonTiger Woods‘ former agent, has finally decided to open up about his long-standing grudge against the golf legend in his new book, “Rainmaker.” The book not only delves into Norton’s career but also sheds light on his relationship with Woods.

Norton played a pivotal role in securing Woods’ initial deals with Nike and Titleist in 1996, which amounted to a staggering $60 million. However, just two years later, Woods abruptly terminated their professional relationship.

In a bombshell revelation from the book, Norton describes the moment of his firing, portraying Woods as “expressionless” with “zombie-like” eyes during the confrontation. Norton expressed his feelings of betrayal, stating, “It was betrayal with a capital B.” He further elaborated on the impact of the termination, both professionally and personally, emphasizing the deep-rooted relationship they had built over the span of 10 years.

This revelation adds another layer to Woods’ off-the-course drama, which has been riddled with various controversies throughout his illustrious career as one of the world’s most prominent athletes.

Woods’ former agent goes public with shocking allegations

Norton also reflects on Woods’ pattern of ending relationships, stating, “The solace I can take, which doesn’t provide much, is this: He was an equal opportunity zombie with relationships, his swing coaches, his lawyer, the guy negotiated the IMG representation deal, with caddies. When it’s over, it’s over.”

Tiger Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren were together again briefly Tuesday to celebrate their son Charlie and his state championship win in Florida.

The Benjamin School won the Class 1A state golf championship. The 15-year-old received a medal and a state championship ring. Photos showed Woods and Nordegren taking photos with Charlie.

It’s not the first time Woods and Nordegren were at the same place at the same time to support their son. Nordegren was at the Cognizant Classic pre-qualifier as Charlie tried in February to earn a spot in the PGA Tour event that happened later in the week.

However, Charlie shot an 86 and was unable to compete in the tournament.

Tiger was also back in the spotlight last year when his ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, filed a lawsuit against him, alleging sexual assault.

A source close to Nordegren at the time the lawsuit was filed in March 2023 told People magazine she had “no interest” in the legendary golfer’s personal life.

“This aspect of Tiger’s life is not her concern,” the source close to Nordegren told the magazine. “She has no interest in his personal life or what happens with his various girlfriends. That part of her life was over a long time ago.”

Woods and Nordegren were a part of a high-profile split in 2010 when Woods revealed his infidelity following a single-vehicle crash near their Florida home. They have two children together, and the source told People their tensions have cooled in recent years for the sake of their children.

“She would never go back with him but likes that he is a good father. She has seen that over the years, which worked them into a good relationship. They co-parent pretty well,” the source told the magazine.

“Of course, she needs to be very confident that the children are safe and happy around anyone that Tiger is with, especially if the romance becomes serious,” the source added. “To that degree, she is very interested. But not on much else.”

Tiger Woods has come face to face with ex-wife Elin Nordegren as the divorced couple attended their son Charlie’s high school state golf championship ceremony.

Woods and Nordegren were both in attendance to celebrate Charlie, 15, winning a high school state golf championship in Palm Beach, Florida.

While Woods has, for years, said that they co-parent well together, he was seen standing awkwardly aside as Nordegren posed for a picture with Charlie and her son with ex-NFL player Jordan Cameron.

Woods, 48, was married to Swedish model Nordegren, 44, for six years before divorcing in 2010, with the golf legend’s infamous cheating scandal left their marriage in ruins.

Before going their separate ways, they welcomed two children together in Charlie, now 15, and daughter Samantha, 16 – with Nordegren going on to have a fourth son, Arthur, with former NFL star Jordan Cameron in December 2019

The youngster beamed as he showed off his championship ring, before posing for a photo with his mom and half-brother Arthur as his dad watched on from a distance.

Woods also shared a hug with his son after he did him proud by shooting a 78-76 over the course of two days while representing his school.

Back in December 2022, Tiger and Charlie reportedly gave Nordegren a shoutout during the PNC Championship following the arrival of her fourth child, according to Golf Monthly.

Furthermore, Erin was seen following Tiger and Charlie in 2020 when the father and son competed together at the PNC Championship.

Charlie was 11 at the time and it was the first time that he played golf under such spotlight.

‘I don’t think words can describe it,’ Woods said. ‘Just the fact that we were able to have this experience together, Charlie and I, they are memories for a lifetime.’

Tiger has, in the past, underlined how he and Erin prioritize their children’s wellbeing, despite enduring such a public split in 2010 in a story that gripped the world.

Talking to TIME magazine in 2015, Woods said: ‘Having the relationship that I have now with her is fantastic. She’s one of my best friends.

‘We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids.

The ex-couple’s reunion comes after Woods’ former agent Hughes Norton opened up about his old client, recalling how he was ‘zombie-like’ when ending relationships.

Ahead of the release of his tell-all book, Rainmaker, which hit shelves on March 26 in the United States, Norton spoke to Mail Sport about the insight into his meteoric rise and abrupt fall – which ended with Woods firing him in 1998.

‘The solace I can take, which doesn’t provide much, is this: He was an equal opportunity zombie with relationships, his swing coaches, his lawyer, the guy negotiated the IMG representation deal, with caddies,’ he said about the 15-time major winner. ‘When it’s over, it’s over.

‘It is the way he terminates relationships with everyone. Whether it’s girlfriends, whether it’s his former golf coaches.

‘It’s ironic, really. In a way he’s so good at confrontation on the golf course. If he’s playing you, he will beat your brains out every single time.

‘But when it comes to confronting things like me and other people that are in his life, he has no social skills whatsoever. It’s maddening, actually.’

Last November Erica Herman, Woods’ ex-girlfriend of five years, dropped legal action against the golfer and said she was not a victim of sexual abuse during her time with him.

The former restaurant manager stated that she ‘was never a victim of sexual harassment or sexual abuse at the hands of Tiger Woods or any of his agents and it is her position that she never asserted a claim for such,’ in court documents filed to Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal.

Herman dated Woods from 2017 to 2022 and worked at the golfer’s restaurant, The Woods Jupiter in Florida.

She initially claimed she had been forced into signing an NDA when Woods began to pursue a sexual relationship with her and was seeking to sue to be released from the agreement.

In the meantime, Woods is expected to play at The Masters next month, held at Augusta National in Georgia.

Woods also dated Lindsey Vonn for three years, before they split in 2015.

Two years later, Woods was arrested and charged with DUI when police found him asleep in the driver’s seat of his car in Florida. Woods was described in a police report as being confused and woozy.

The golfer agreed to undergo a 12-month probation diversionary program for first-time offenders and pay a $250 fine.

He also had to complete a DUI school and 50 hours of community service.

Tiger Woods played in his first PGA Tour event at the age of 16. His son Charlie has a chance to top it.

On Thursday, Charlie Woods will begin competing in pre-qualifying for the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches – formerly known as the Honda Classic.

If he’s one of roughly the top 25 finishers at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla., he’ll move on to Monday’s qualifier, where four players will earn a spot in the field at PGA National. If Charlie manages to grab one of those spots, he’ll make his first start on the PGA Tour at 15 years, 21 days old.

Charlie and Tiger Woods have played together in the PNC Championship – which features PGA Tour players partnering with family members in an alternate-shot competition – since 2019. This would be the first time Charlie has attempted to qualify for an official PGA Tour event.

A fifteen-time major champion, Tiger Woods made his PGA Tour debut as an amateur in 1992, missing the cut at the Nissan Los Angeles Open at the age of 16 years, 1 month and 28 days.
